That's sweet that you noticed! Yep, Nono is my favorite headmold ever, she was my first doll too. I have high hopes that all of us Nono lovers on DoA will be able to get her! Nono is more popular in Japan (or so I hear?) but there are relatively fewer fans of her in the west. *proactively crosses fingers for us*

jyhhaur, thanks SO much for the pics! Whew! I am relieved that Crystal and the SD13 boy aren't calling to me. The boy is gorgeous but not to my taste, and I must admit I do really like Crystal -- but she is too sophisticated looking to fit in with my girls. I'd be tempted to make her into a boy though! She does look a lot like Tsukasa IMHO.

And SwD Nono is just perfect. I even love her outfit! It would make a good present to placate Gwena, who wears mostly sailor suits. And of course, if I manage to snag a SwD Nono she will wear lots of frilly girly loilita dresses!

Oooh! And we could have one of those little sig pictures, like the El Army has, lol.

 

I'm not sure if I like Amakusa's eyeshape, but Crystal looks very promising! I love serious girls ^^ the yo's look very adorable too

Ayumu and Crystal are wonderful! He's such a delightful mischevious looking lil scamp and I think she is just stunning. I love her outfit and shoes! Her face sculpt is very mature. I adore adore adore Ayumu though.

 

Kitty will Volks ever TRUELY gives us a break? Maybe a year off to recover from the Last few Dolpas? I've wanted at least one Limited for the past few Dolpas This is going to be an absolute nightmare for my wallet But I will be in Bliss with Sweet Dream Nono and SD13 Crystal

Of course not! I've said it before that they are out to milk us of every penny for the near foreseeable future! If they start having the typical Dolpas in the USA complete with multiple limiteds and such we will really be doomed. Because then it will be so close we'll feel compelled to fly to the Dolpas and spend even MORE money. >_>

Well I definitely want Tanpopo, and I am debating in my head whether I really NEED Crystal. She looks like a combination of Liz and Amelia, which I both own. How am I supposed to afford all of this? >.<

Crystal is my absolute first choice. I'm liking SDNono more and more. The SD13 Boy hasn't appealed to me yet, so I think I'm safe with him. Something about his mouth. Maybe it's just the picture, but it looks messy?

 

to me, it just looks really "firm" like he's very opinionated or something

 

I'm wondering if his face-up was too quickly done for the picture release. the bottom outer corner of one eye has a lot more smokey make-up than the same area of the other eye. the lips do look a bit smooshed on him, like those of a few of the one-offs from NY. but in profile, he is pretty cool.

Cyrstal is not my style at all... *SO GREATFUL* my wallet couldn't take it if she turned out to be an adorable cherub faced girl rather than the mature, sexy bombshell that she is xD. Her outfit is pretty cool though, although I'd rather see it on a boy x3... and actually I'd love to see Crystal herself gender swapped into a boy dollie I think she'd make a fine boy too...

But.. I'm really liking the looks of that SD13 boy... his default hair and make up don't appeal to me, but I think his mold has a lot of potential *drool*

Anyways, SwD Nono is SOOOO CUTE! I've always been a big Nono fan, even in the past when I didn't used to like Volks dolls, Nono and Mimi were always the exceptions xD;;; *flail* I'm so happy to see she's so cute! I really love that outfit... oh, the temptation!!! I've always had her in the back of my mind but I have a strict policy about only adopting dolls that will suit my characters T_T. MUST SAVE FOR LA DOLPA!!!!

That SwD Nono is so precious...I can't STAND it! Nono is my favorite headmold of all time, and I've always dreamed of having the sleeping one.
One day, I would like to have THREE Nonos- my current girl, a Sweet Dreams version, and a snow skin version with dark hair and red lips. That's probably overkill, but I don't care!

Oh man, the history buff in me really wants Amakusa. He's from the same area I'll be teaching in. Ugh, I will so not be able to get him though. If I end up caving, I may attempt at the after event.

Heehee! I want tons of Nono's too! I have my Pure Skin Nono, i want a SwD Nono and I also want a FSC Nono 13. I sure wouldn't mind having a few of the ltds too. ^_^ She was my first SD and still my favorite (shhh...don't let the other girls know).

They are sooooooo lovely. Good thing Feena and Estel share the same healdmold and such similar faceup, this way I really don't feel I need both.. haha. But I have to admit, Feena's dress is the most impressive DD outfit I've seen so far!!

Oh so sorry to hear you missed out on the lottery for makeup school. Japanese dolpas have so many more participants that lotteries are hard. *Hugs* I hope you get the dolls and accessories you want.

I also understand the sickly mom part. LA Dolpa would have been great but I cook for Thanksgiving and usually need to rest Saturday and Sunday I also usually need to take Wednesday off

Well, there's the prices, for those wondering, in the above posted pics.

Amakusa Shirou Tokisada: 92,400yen

Also, for those who asked: Amakusa has long legs. And Crystal has a large bust.

Interesting that Crystal is a part of the Maiden's Promise storyline..

Also in case anyone was wondering Nono Sweet Dreams' "subname" (not sure what to call it) translates roughly as "Summer Seaside Version". (Not sure why she's wearing seifuku at the beach, but...)

 

OMG they say that the SD 13 boy is at 88,000 yens or 92,400 yens (why the difference in price)
So he's going to be... 725.62 or 761.90
Volks USA if they have him will probably charge... mmm around 825$ for him (my estimation) so... I'm so getting him!!!

 

They always have two prices listed, the first is without tax, the second is with tax. You can't buy him without tax no matter what so the second price is the correct price.

Also the exchange rate you get online is not what VolksUSA can get so his price will be higher with them.

I just think all the dolls for this event are wonderful. The little Yo's are so cute!
But alas, I can only afford one and I am so in love with SwD Nono I don't know what to do with my self!

Eyes: HG Glass Eyes, Goldenrod with White Line, 20mm: I love these eyes! Golden rods are such a pretty color. Nono and Yuki can have matching eyes now.

Wig: W-91 (Tate Roll Pigtails), 16T (Cream), SD-L size: I just adore this wig. But what I love more is the SD-L sizing. Hopefully this means a wig that will fit Nono's huge melon head perfectly! (this does bring up the question as to if her head will be as huge as standard Nono's is.)

Body: SD girl suwarikko body, pureskin, normal skintone, UV protect, KIPS: I love Prueskin. It is my favorite tone. I also am exited about the suwarikko body and KIPS. She should pose like a dream!

Having all these little tidbits of info is making me even more excited about this sweet girl.

I figured of course that if anyone else was in the story, it would be him (since he's the only other 'period' doll they've released) but they did not use the logo for it on his promo material at all so I was confused! But now that I look at his Japanese pages I see that it is written on them, just that it's only in Japanese but without the logo. So I missed it earlier. Thank you!

 

I could work for Volks XDD I was talking to a friend and I said to her that "I bet this girl will be a part of Liz/Emma's story. Liz's big sister or something". It was meant to be a joke but I guess I was right 8D;;

SWD Nono is so cute, I really hope all those aiming for her will get her. I'm glad there are still people who love what have been deemed the "anime" molds. :3

Thanks Juli!!! You were certainly right!! I didn't expect to get her so soon after ordering Claudia, but she's my dream doll and I must get her while I can!! Volks really does make dreams come true!!!

Ciera!! Ciera!!!! She's designed by Ciera!!! My favorite doll and my favorite artist!!! That settles it! I'll get Sweet Dream Nono if it's the last thing I do!!!

 

It's probably not a "story" per se, since Amakusa Tokisada and Ushiwakamaru are from different historical periods. Maybe "A Quiet Banquet" is their name for SD inspired by legend and history...? How cool!!!

That would make sense to me. I think that's a really cool series and I can't wait to see more from it~ There are a lot of people I'd love to see in doll form, even if they only do Japanese history, that's more than enough.
