Volks Hometown Dolpa Osaka 4 Discussion

A lot of thier stuff is hand made, so I would contact Volks if I were you and tell them of the problems and show them the pictures. Hopefully they will work with you to fix they problem and get you a new wig at the very least.

 

WAHHHH my tanpopo came in today! she's soooooooo cute!!! She has a whole bunch of Amelie tailor outfits that she'll be sharing once my Linn is done. It was agony working 5 hours and knowing she was there, waiting for me! ><

 

I just got the shipping notice for my Amakusa! I ordered all of the Sato-gaeri services, so I'm a bit shocked that he'll be arriving so quickly. I honestly wasn't expecting him until early December. But I'm sure not going to look a gift horse in the mouth!

Although, he'll be chillin' either naked or in his default outfit and wig for awhile, because the only thing that I've bought for him so far is eyes

 

Crystal showed up at home on Wednesday evening. I was too busy grading papers and writing lectures, so she had to stay in her box until Thursday evening! I have to say that although I wasn't sure about her face in the pictures, "up close and personal" she is breathtaking. Of all of my Volks gals, this one has the most dramatic "presence" and, hands down, although she isn't an SD-16, I really think she comes across as more mature than Olivia! I am very impressed.

 

My Amakusa came yesterday! He's just amazing

I replaced his default eyes with some blue ones that I bought from Ginarolo, and I have to say that they make him about five times as sexy and stunning as the default ones. I'm keeping his wig, but I'm going to sell the outfit. It's beautiful, but much more formal and elaborate than anything that his character would wear. Plus, I worry about my animals shedding on it, or getting it messed up in some other way. Anything that I'm not comfortable playing with and taking outside for photo-shoots has to go.

He's my first 1/3 size Volks doll, so I was surprised and impressed by how heavy and solid he is. I had a CP Moon for awhile, but compared to Amakusa he was a wispy little waif of a thing. The only thing that could make Amakusa more pleasing to me is if his body were double-jointed. Still, he poses quite well for a single-jointed doll, and I love that he looks like a real boy, not too effeminate. Although the combination of default wig and bright, blue eyes make his face very pretty indeed.

Sorry to spam the board with my gushing, but I'm just so pleased with him, and so delighted that he came early. Volks continues to surpass my expectations with every doll I buy from them.

 

YAY!!! Virginie, my Sweet Dream Nono is finally home!!! Oh, she is the most gorgeous girl I have ever seen!! Her outfit is adorable!!! She and Claudia are so beautiful together!!!

Just wait until I upload her pics!!!

I can't believe it. After all these years, my dream has come true!!!

 

My Amakusa, Hideo, showed up Thursday afternoon...

I'll keep his wig and outfit around, but I doubt he'll ever be the one who wears them. He just doesn't seem the type to me. I'm undecided about his eyes. I was expecting to switch them for a pair of Stormy Blue Gumdrops, but now I don't know. I kind-of like the dark gray... Choices, choices.

Anyway... The light's been awful the last couple of days, so I haven't been able to take decent pictures of him, but here's my favorite so far.



He may not be a "pretty boy" sculpt, but I do love my sad-eyed angel. ^_^
