Volks Halloween Party in LA

I was wondering if they will release something limited as well. I can't think of a Japanese or American event where they haven't released something. Even the August LA Tea Party had the unveiling of the new FCS heads.

Hmm.. maybe they could just use the sunlight Scar Face Cecils for the Halloween party and then they wouldn't have to release anything new ^^;;;;;;; lol..but that's just wishful thinking on my part.

I'm not sure I can afford whatever limited items they might release anyway but I'm definately going down there. I've been working all summer and will be working during this next quarter so I know I can afford it if I start saving now.

BTW is anyone getting the blog to work? I think it got too many hits and now crashed

 

I can never make it to these LA events but I hope everyone who does has a fun time and takes lots of pictures

 

I'll be going to this event. I hope they have bingo for sei tenchi's. If not its cool, I love volks tea partys, its so much fun. I hope they have limited stuff for sale.

 

I really wish this one was in New York City, as it's much closer and easier for me to get to. I went to the most recent teaparty in LA though, and I loved it! I'm going to try everything I can to go to this Halloween Party as well. It would be nice if we had more notice, as plane tickets are cheaper when you buy them a long time in advance. But that's ok, I'm not complaining. It's wonderful that they hold events like this for us in the first place!

I would bet more that they'd have clothing items rather than limited dolls, but I'm excited to see either way.

 

I don't care what they have, and my friend have decided that even if we are offically appoved we might just hang around outside and see if they take pity on us. I missed the NYC one 'cause I was in London and the LA 'cause I didn't find out enough in advance and got tickets for Otakon on the east coast. Glah!

I hope they have limited items. Or dolls. Or sell one-offs. Or just LET ME IN!!! Feh, doesn't matter what. It is always nice to spend an afternoon with other doll owners.

I would love it if they decided to release Yo-Tenshi Yuu at the Halloween party for the American fans. I'd really love to go, but the money issue is always a problem. XD If they do say they will have a lottery for a Sei-tenshi, though, I may try to find any way to go. o_o';

 

If they are doing Tenshi Yuu, I'm not eating for the next month in order to buy one!

I'll most likely go. I haven't missed an LA Tea Party Yet! This is the same weekend as Yaoi Con. I was only planning on going one day anyways and just for that tea party, but other than that... I'm not a Yaoi fan. So it might be silly for me to miss this just to spend an hour at Yaoi Con.

 

Oooo I really want to go, I havent missed a L.A. Tea Party either! I wonder if they will have one offs (if they do I hope I dont like any <_<) oo I wonder if we can dress up our dolls in costumes.

i haven't missed any volks party in the u.s. yet.. and i don`t know if i can go to this one or not.

Oh if I get to go I will for sure go in costume! My dolls would be in costume too, of course. I hope they release more information about it soon.

 

I've been kicking myself for missing the last LA tea parties, and since I'm planning to go down there one day to order a FCS I'll see if I can talk my dad (aka driving partner) into making a weekend out of it instead. I hope its a costume party! That would be so cool. And I can't wait to see if Volks has something special planned to release for the party!

I'd have to skip the Yaoi con tea party too, which is a shame, but I think I'd rather go to this if I can.

 

I'm sure they'll have one-offs and sei tenshis, but kind of doubt if there will be limiteds for sale - the limiteds were usually offerred the next day at the store, and since this event will be on a Sunday.....
Unless, its a signup like the NYC Dolpa! Anyway, I'm hoping for a release of Olivia's outfits. Or at least SOMETHING I can bring home in case I'm not lucky in the drawings and Bingo. Alex

 

Yaoi-con is actually the weekend before ^^ I checked cause I wanted to go to both as well.. though if I had to choose I'd definately choose the Volks party.

If I didn't work, and could drive, I would so go. It sucks that I live in California, but I've never been to any of the tea parties or dolpas.

 

Well, on the topic of costumes, I'll probably be wearing. I am gonna be the Queen of Hearts and Elizabeth is going as Alice. Yeah for matching!

I was seriously relieved about this too. It was a drag last time having to rush back for AnimeOD. I'll definitely be going to the Halloween party and am trying to talk my husband into coming along and us going to Disneyland on Monday. If he can't make it though, I'll probably do the round-trip day trip like I did last time. However it works out, I am so excited about the party and seeing everyone again!

 

Hey, we should have a mini-meet at Disney. We can gather at downtown diseny or something maybe Monday night.

 

There are the Halloween festivals and parades in gay West Hollywood around Halloween. Theyre the best! But if people want to bring their dolls, then a less people-packed venue would be better.

 

I think that one day of dolly activities is about all I could talk my husband into.

 

tee hee, well, it is good of him to go along with it. Well, my friend and I are probably gonna skip over to Disneyland on Monday if anyone wants to join us.

i'll be cosplaying tenten from naruto(only cosplay i have) and i'll take kisa with me and she'll be hinata! my sister is going also and she said that she was going to be jack sparow and her msd ken is going to be a bottle of rum!

yeah, I just drove down to Arizona this summer to visit my sister... all of my family lives in so cal or arizona, and I have friends in LA who are mad I didn't stop by on my way back this summer, so I was planning to drive down sometime in the next month anyway. :P

 

Oh man.. I only live 8 hours away and I'm flying. I've done that drive too many times and it's deathly boring.

At the Volks parties with bingo, when you get bingo you don't automatically know what prize you get. You have to draw a piece of paper out of a bag and that says what prize you win. A lot of people win bingo but the paper they draw is for a postcard set. Mr. Shigeta can get pretty funny when he reads the paper and says "Wow.....postcard set!"

Will it be at there Torrance shop or will it be held elsewhere? I hear people mentioning how many hours they are away and I'm only about an hour and a half away from the torrance shop ^^; .

 

It will be at the Volks Mansion (not sure how far that is from the shop, as I haven't been to both in the same day)

 

I'd really like to go, i've never made it to an event yet.
My mom said to me "Just go if you want." and all I could do was stare at her because I don't even have enough money for tuition.

The volks Mansion is located in Palo Verdes Estate where a lot of people seem to own a horse. @__@

I wanna go!!! Bu tI think my drive is about 17 hours and iwth gas that will cost as much as a plane ticket!! And I cannot afford a few hundred on a plane ticket right now. Oh well. Best of Luck to You all!! ^_^
