Volks Dolpa 31 Discussion

The Dolpa 31 is not HT one, it's just Dolls Party 31 that's held in Tokyo.

I'm personally not sure that Yos would be just for Dolpa 31, maybe they are new standard models that would go on sale from Dolpa 31?

The Twitter seems to mention the Naval Academy storyline, so perhaps a rerelease of Anais/Tae there in the pink sweater?

Standard Yo-SDs would be amazing, but they've done standard mold Yos as limited releases before (Kun, for example). They're all so cute!

It looks like they are offering the School heads again at Dolpa 31? School A, SwD A and B (in white skin)?

I think the YoSD are being offered at Dolpa because they are on the cover of the guidebook. If they weren't being offered as limiteds, they wouldn't have the cover. As well as SDGr Tae and SD16 Madoka.

I was really hoping for a SD17 Tsukasa but my wallet is very happy that he isn't offered!

 

Oh my goodness ^.^~ Yo Elena, Rinon, and Kanata are just too adorable! While I "like" the original versions, I don't like them enough to want to own them... the yo versions on the other hand! Wow. Someday~! I'm really loving this trend of tiny-fication Volks is continuing. Great for people with small living spaces. I hope they do more and more! Another Tae release would be lovely. I know she's been released quite a lot, but personally I'd love it if more people owned her so I can see more owner pictures hehe !

 

Well I orderedmy guidebooks last night. I noticed they didn't offer the bento boxes. I'll have to remember to bring lunch!

I'm planning to go to DP31, to see if I can pick up Kanzaki Ranko early on.

The next Volks News with pictures of all the outfits will be shipped tomorrow (7 April), so people who live closest to Kyoto will start posting scans of all the dolls and clothes.

But, I've to say Rinon YOSD version is so cute...

Oh how I long to go to a Dollpa someday! But in the meantime, I'm dying to know if they'll (re)release any SD-size LEs!

I think I will try to bring Rinon or Elena home. They both look so adorable. Also, is it just me or do they have the same mold? They look almost identical.

 

I hope you get a good number! I bet the DDs will sell fast. They're both gorgeous. Maybe I will see you there? If I get a good number, I think I may try for the YoSD Rinon and/or Elena.

I think so because Tae's hands look like the SDGr girl ones. (imo) Also, she looks slimmer like the SDGr girl body.

My guess is that that's the limited outfits. But I'm sure we'll know more this week. Someone mentioned that the Volks News ship on Monday. I'm looking forward to seeing the clothing and shoes released!

 

Not going in for any of the dolls this time, but sending out good vibes so everyone can get the dolls they want.

 

I can't wait to try for SDGr Tae as she is one of my grail dolls. Super excited for this Dolpa. Hopeful we will see everything by tomorrow by those wonderful posters.

Well I'm dying here because I Tae is my grail doll, and I always swore if Volks came out with a yo-Rinon I would get one, so I need 2 of the dolls! I am also saving for Dollism, but well, I can't pass them up.

Haha, yes, the DDs always sell fast. The best limited-items number I've gotten for DP was in the 600s, and that wasn't near good enough for Aoko or Melty directly at Dolls Party. But that's OK, because each time is a new chance.

Definitely possible to meet up at DP or other Volks events to try and coordinate our plan-of-attack for the event. I've done that with another DoA member in the past when we were both in Japan at the same time, and it worked out really well.

 

OMG Volks finally released really cute girl dolls.. It's been SOOOO long Volks! I'm also smitten by Coco like a lot of other people are. T__T Thank goodness she's a standard as she's going to be super popular for sure. I'm interested to see more pics of Saki. Tae would absolutely be tempting especially since she is now renewed and I definitely agree that she suits the SDgR body more even though I usually prefer SD or SD13 body for various reasons. Yeay!! Definitely such great news.

04/26: Reservation Period Starts (5000 yen deposit required unless payment in full is made. Wigs cannot be requested. One of each standard model per person can be reserved. Reservations can be made over the counter and the dolls will only be delivered to the shop where they were ordered.) I do not know about international orders at this time.

05/24: Sale period begins at all Volks locations including on-line. An official announcement on the English site is likely coming soon.


DOLPA 31 COORDINATE MODELS: Coordinate Models will be offered of the new standards at the event. Coordinate Models are basically styled with an outfit, shoes, socks, face-up, wig and glass eyes. They are not one-offs, but are limitations of a design. It could be one doll or ten dolls that are similar. Details about the Coordinate Models at Dolpa 31 are in the guidebook. I am not going so cannot translate the details. Usually, Coordinate Models are first-come, first-serve, but recently they have been using a new "line-splitting" system where they will draw one number. That number becomes #1. So, for instance, if there are 500 people and they draw #100, that means that the #100 gets to be number one and all the people before that (1-99) go to the back of the line.

OMG......................... Saki and Coco @___@ must. have! These models are so gorgeous, I can't believe they're standards! So the first reservation can only be made in person, and must be picked up in person?? Eck, I don't have the money to drive all the way to Volks and back twice. I can imagine the initial stock will be sold out the moment they go up on the website though! Even better, I hope they'll be added to FCS like most standards so we can get WS versions .

By the way, after looking closer at those 3 new standard girls... Don't they look so much alike? Do they have the same sculpt, like the 4sisters, and only different face ups?

 

I have the feeling that they are same sculpt just different face up. I thought the wigs were to be different but volks said random wigs

I don't know. While they do look kinda similar, they also look quite different? Like Coco looks so much like Kurumi, but the other two not so much. I don't know. We need more photos to be clear. But all three of them are just gorgeous.

 

I am glad I could share the information with you all, and I hope it clears up the primary questions.

As for the Standard Models, they are indeed three different head-molds. The "random wig" is one of the three wigs from the photo here: http://twitpic.com/e0imfy

In the Volks News, each doll is pictured in all three wigs for reference since the doll could come with one of those wigs. I am sure scans will start popping up today.

 

Is it just me or I found YOSD-Rinon, YOSD-Elena, YOSD-Kanata have similar sculpt to each other?

Rinon, Elena, and Kanata are not the same sculpt, so neither are the YoSD versions going to be the same sculpt. The 4 Sisters were all the same because the SD sculpt is the same between all of them. YoSD Syo looks similar to YoSD 4 Sisters the same way SD13 Syo looked related to the SD 4 Sisters and so on.

Has anyone found a site with actual large scans of the new dolls? YoSD Kanata is really calling my name with how cheeky he looks.

 

I've always liked Kanata, and he is just so adorable in YoSD form!
