Volks Dolpa 18 Discussion.

I just got a very nice e-mail reply from Volks about the shipping.

"Thank you for your inquiry.

We are currently packing the Dolpa 18 limited items
to ship out.

Since we have a large quantity of orders at the same
time, it is taking a time than usual.
But we hopefully ship them out within this week, and
after we shipped out, it will be informed by an automatical
email, so please wait until then.


Thank you for your understanding and patience."

I should have e-mailed earlier as they never did send an e-mail with the tracking #. too much excitement for me to pay attention to details.

I don't think they have a large staff to get the orders shipped. They also have to ship them out to the two doll stores. But they replied to my e-mail within one day and the customer services is always very nice.

at least my doll won't be cold left outside.

on to start waiting again next week!!!

The last time I visited the store (last year) there was like 4 people working - and AX was the same time I visited so they also had con goers buying dolls ^.^ But another week to wait oh no... I really wanted my boy to wear his new clothes to the Matsuri Doll Meet this weekend

Oh well~ At least I know it's still in safe hands and that some shady looking kids haven't stolen it off my porch lol >_<;;;;;

Thanks for posting that email, Lisianthus! I'm glad we know what the delay is now. I can imagine how busy they must be with not only our orders, but everyone else's!

Isn't their customer service great? They're always so nice and polite!

Since Volks USA seems to ship packages to Canada last.... well I`m hoping to get Mirai in early March

 

I just now received an email from VolksUSA saying that my order has been shipped and the tracking for UPS says estimated arrival is Feb. 24th.

 

I just got the shipping notice for my clothes and Mom's Kuuta.

 

I got my e-mail

But uh... it says it was billed/shipped on the 14th and was supposed to be here on the 18th *it's the 21st now*

Should I be worried? ^^;;

 

I just got a shipping notice email too! The expected delivery date hasn't updated yet (boo! ) but hopefully it'll be updated by tomorrow so I know when to run home in the middle of the day to check my front porch!

 

Got my clothes today! (I purchased some "regular" items on Saturday.) I hope everyone else gets their stuff soon .

 

I don't think you should be worried just yet. O__O;; The info you're seeing probably just hasn't been updated with the new info.
I got the same shipment notice, and it still says its due on the 18th.

If its been a couple days to a week, then I'd be worried.

Yusss I called the UPS people (automated machine yay) and figured out why it said that XD So I may expect his clothes by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week o0o!!

 

Got an email from VolksUSA too!

Estimated arrival hasn't updated yet but it should soon.

Last weekend they had their regular Dolpa 18 items for sale on-line and in the store, and when that happens it takes up a lot of their time.

They have people working all week long handling internet orders and stocking the store, there is a lot more going on besides just getting in Event items and working the store on the weekend.

They have to check all the items before they are sent out

What happened is they probably had someone put in all the info for all the shipping on the UPS site, which causes UPS to show that items are being submitted for shipping. But until UPS actually picks up the item, it won't show the actual item in transit in their system.

I guess Volks didn't know that people would post that info as their items being sent out when the item shipping invoices had only been submitted to UPS.

Once UPS picks-up the items, then it will show on the UPS site where the item is while in transit. Then you will know your item is on it's way.

I'm only posting because from what people wrote, I thought Volks had sent everything out last week and I was still waiting to hear if I could pick up my doll from the store and it was a little upsetting since mine doesn't even involve shipping. I'm still waiting to hear.

 

UPS has updated....my rescheduled Delivery is 02/27/2008.

 

I got my dress set today. It was left unceremoniously on my doorstep by UPS.

 

I got my H.NAOTO outfits just now! I had to sign for them though........

But don't you have to sign for them like I did? O_O

 

I got my items today, Happy Day

 

I got my 2 AE outfits delivered yesterday (Friday)! Very cute!!

 

I hate UPS with an unbridled passion. The last two times I was forced to use UPS by a seller, they seriously screwed up. The first time was the delivery of my Volks Masha from Dolpa NYC2 and they left her on my door step too! A $900+ package left with no signature!
The second time was the delivery of my Orient Doll Tae where they held him between the delivery truck and the UPS office for a WEEK because the package didn't have a unit number on it. I live in a Victorian house with only 2 doors on the second floor. They could have left it in the lobby you know? I would have found it. I ended up on the phone with them everyday (no joke) for a week asking why the person I spoke with on the first day didn't update the computer information with my unit number after I gave it to her. Their answer? Hmmm, someone didn't update that 3 days ago...wonder why..."

Aaaaanyway...I am hoping they just leave the package outside my door today as it is scheduled to be out here today.

 

My UPS tracking shows delivery date 02/22/08 but also IN TRANSIT....checked details and it indicated that it reached my city at 8pm last night.....
I doubt if I'll get this before Monday.....

There was a "Signature Required" sticker on the box. UPS in my area is 'pretty unorganized' to put it nicely. Actually they are pretty bad. At work, we put in pick up requests thru their website and they don't come until we call, and then charge us for calling them. We are fed up with them

 

Couldn't you call UPS and complain? They're not doing their part of their job and leaving packages on your doorstep without it being signed for isn't right! What if something happens to it, wouldn't they be liable for it since the package wasn't signed like it was supposed to be?

UPS does charge a pick up fee for packages requested to be picked up online or through the phone.

 

I got my outfits for my boy!! I nearly missed the guy because I was scrambeling to find my house keys to open my back gate XD But thank God I yelled, "EXCUSE ME!!" and he came back *dork*

I signed for mine~ Which kinda surprised me because I rarely sign for UPS packages (unless it's at my work) X3;;;

I'm hoping my little Tinatsu comes today. She's out on the truck. Unfortunately for us, UPS Ground NEVER shows up before 6:30pm or later. :[

UPS is such a speedy service. through the Volks order page, my new girl has been 35 miles from my house since 5:38AM on the 22nd, but on the UPS site it is not scheduled to be delivered until the 27th. great system when they just hold on to the package for 5 days without moving it. - Barb

 

Mine, too. I think they're on the plane flying around having shrimp and lobster (of course for what we paid in shipping!) --- the dolls I mean while they try to find a place to land in the snow that should have melted last weekend. The UPS people are napping...

 

Oh, wow - I *just* got a notice from Volks saying that they shipped my h.Naoto outfit! I was sort of starting to wonder... lol. I am glad that it's coming, though. Hopefully it won't take too long. I ordered airmail shipping to Canada instead of ground. *is hopeful*

Alex, thanks for asking. the arrival in Chelmsford (35 miles away) on 1/23 disappeared and now it says arrival scan today at 9:27, unload scan at 2:07. so i expect her tomorrow . interesting that the tracking showed "arrived Chelmsford on 1/23, but didn't get scanned until this morning. they must want us to know how very hard they work sorting the packages. I will have to plan on staying close to home until she gets here. means 'ugh" housework! - Barb

 

Mine arrived today. I love the h.jelly&HONEY outfit but the SD channel H is a bit meh... I dunno. I took some pics and will upload them post haste

 

My package is lost.

It's been sitting in California for what is now going on 6 days, scanned into the depot there, but has never left. I called them today, and the first woman I got (from UPS) said "Well, expected delivery date isn't until Feb 27th (... uh... tomorrow... and I'm in Michigan), so we can't help you until it passes that date. At all." She was absolutely not helpful and rude.

So I called back again to get someone different and told them that the whole "Can't help ya till it's passed the expected arrival date" won't fly, unless, of course, they plan on going, finding it and overnighting it... so... the guy tells me that still there's nothing he can do about it, because evidentally, as a paying customer (the one who paid for shipping in fact) they can't use any of the information I have... you know, order number, tracking number, etc... to start an inquiry. I have to rely on Volks to start an inquiry.

Seeing as how they (Volks) haven't responded at all to the last 3 emails I've sent them... this does NOT make me happy... and I tried calling them today only to find out that Tuesday, is, in fact, the only day of the week they are completely closed.

I envy those of you who are only watching super slow tracking... at least your package still exists and is moving!!!!!

 

That really sucks. I really hated when you get this kind of customer services. (Were they even located in US?? I had a phone repair issue and the customer service for the repair dept for my local land-line was like in India or something.... I almost said are you flying someone out here to fix my phone? since he was not helpful at all either)

Anyway, I just hope that somewhere along the time, they forgot to scan it and it is still on its way to you and will show up tomorrow.

Meanwhile, have you contacted Volks to ask them to open an inquiry for you? Since these are all limited items, what will Volks do if your package gets lost??

 

lol, yeah, they were all from the US... I only ever get foreign folk when I'm getting computer help... and they usually know what they're talking about, so it's all good XD

My fingers are crossed for you. My package supposedly sat in CA for 5 days (until late this afternoon) when it magically appeared in KY. Maybe yours will as well??

 

My package sat in CA for 3 days, arrived at one city, then arrived at mine, then somehow was scanned for departure in the other city, and was put on the delivery truck back at mine.

I love UPS. That's a lie.
I didn't get anything SD related, but I got my Cthulhu LA on the expected delivery day, today, so you should all be getting your lovelies soon! Good luck and I hope to see them in the coming days!

 

Thanks... UPS actually called me... to tell me they airmailed the package to Ohio.

I am *really* confused. But... at least they found it? Maybe??

(I got a Cthulu girl too... so I'm glad to hear some of them are arriving!)

... evidentally all you have to do is finally get fed up and call them, then vent on a public forum, and that gets the mail moving :P

 

My little one is currently out for delivery! I'm going to take a little vacation this afternoon and wait it out at home (no sense staying at work and being entirely distracted!)

I went out for 20 minutes, saw the ups truck drive by my house on the way home and then 10 minutes later, a plunk near the door, not a knock, not signature required! opening the outer box, opening the little pink/white striped box. no time to charge the camera!!! I see a little wig! then those boots! a hat and clothes. oh, my goodnesss. she is like a little sprite! meows to welcome her home. going to try with the camera and I must find more clothes for Renee!!!!! no wonder they call them SD Cuties! - Barb

 

I just got my Tinatsu from the doorstep as I walked in! Boo! that I have a concert to go to this evening when I'd rather be playing with her (Hubby adore this band and bought the tickets a month ago!)

There was a sticker that said signature required, but since I only have bears and bunnies and deer (oh my!) to worry about I'm not thinking to hard about it.
