Volks Dolpa 18 Discussion.

February 12th...no word from Volks about the shipping of our outfits from the lottery yet.
I am getting anxious.

I'm waiting for my Suigintou & h.NAOTO outfits from Volks... I really hope I get to pick them up this or next weekend!

 

Oh no new children for me this round, but I am awaiting my first H.Naoto MSD Channel set for my little one.
It's the first lottery I've ever entered, so I am more anxious then usual.

 

Does anyone still have their original order email? I can't find mine, but if I could I'd be checking the status every day now to see if it's close to shipping.

Mine's been updated as well, delivery's not until the 19th though. :P
I've been waiting this long, you'd think a couple more days wouldn't bother me so much.

My h.NAOTO outfits were shipped as well, scheduled for the 19th. I wish they could have put the outfits in with my FCS thats due in today...

 

That means Kerby Lane should be getting their shipment in soon >_< Oh my sweet Suigintou is coming home!

 

No word on our doll order shipping yet, haven't even rec'd confirmations for DP18 regular items although they should arrive today. My feeling is they are coordinating it so they all come in together which should be soon.

Yeah! I got a little tracking button on my order, too! My little tinatsu won't be here until the 20th (poo!)

I had ordered some yosd shoes from volks a couple of weeks ago and received an order confirm and a shipping email notice with a tracking number. I guess they're pretty busy with the Dolpa items coming in, so they aren't sending out shipping notices yet....

 

Cool! So I can guess that my Mom's Kuuta and my clothes'll be here around the 20th.
I hope they send out shipping notices soon so I can be sure.

 

Yaaay~!! HinaIchigo (*should*) be here on the 18th~!!!! I can hardly wait (again).

Okay, this may seem like a dumb question; but where did you go to look at your status' o.o Is it in the e-mail VOLKS is supposed to send you XD?

Izarra- When you entered the lottery, the link should be in the first e-mail they send you-
The second e-mail will be saying you won; the third e-mail will tell you when your item is being shipped (or in my case, ready for pick-up).

I did get a UPS package this afternoon although not from Volks. I assume that deliverys were made throughout the country today.

however, when I go into my order form it says manifest pick up on the 14th, and expected delivery on the 20th. When I use the tracking button it has not been updated from the 14th...

I have no idea if my doll has even been shipped. Has anyone been able to track shipping other than billing information received. like picked up at Volks, etc.???

Cammy, she is but she has fur like a matted sheep, so she gets a lions buzz cut each spring. hmm, so they leave her with a long neck ruff and the tip of her tail furry. Now I might need to try to make a matching tail for Renee but not from Emma's fur. - Barb

 

I'm in the same boat. Nothing updated with the same expected delivery date. *sigh* My little one will get here eventually, so I guess all we can do is wait for the date and see what happens...

UPS came and went with deliveries to my job all day today. Though none for me at home from Volks. *sob*
I also have the same thing when I check my tracking info...'expected delivery on the 18th,' 'billed/shipped on the 14th.' With no other information since the 14th. >__>;;

 

Lisanthus and porkuchi - The same thing happened to me today - UPS came, but not with the Volks box!!!!! Tomorrow I guess......

hmmm well mine seems like its due in today but it still says "Feb 14, 2008 02:10 PM US BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED" =/ I'm wondering if there is some sort of error in the system, or if my box is stuck somewhere. GUH I'm worried.

Poo, yours being due yesterday and because the ups site itself also says
"Status: Billing Information Received". Usually if there is some anomaly when tracking through the volks usa site, the ups site shows the accurate tracking. /worry

I dont have a doll coming in, just two outfits but the weather is finally nice and I need those outfits for the shoot =X +looks out at the porch again...+

 

It sounds like everyone's dolls are on the pickup list, but haven't actually gone out yet. Volks does that sometimes before they're shipped. The status will have the tracking # but it'll say manifest pickup or billing information received until it actually ships.

 

I have to agree that is more than a possability. Usually the UPS site updates with "in transit, or received in a location". going to usp.com I get a

"Billing information has been sent to UPS. Check site later for updated shipment status or contact shipper for more details."

It is just that the delivery date for my doll here is listed as 2/20. I was going to wait until tomorrow to write to Volks, but maybe will send something now. - Barb

 

I was thinking that too but it seems really strange that I had an order shipped the day after and its due in tomorrow =/ It just doesnt make any sense.

 

I jumped the gun.

Volks just contacted UPS that they have my package ready to ship.

I called the UPS 800 and for once I was glad that they don't have real people on the other end.

 

... this is kind of annoying though... because Volks said my item would be shipped EARLY Feb... it's now going on late Feb... they preped the item for shipment a week ago and still haven't bothered to ship it.

I'm not at all happy to learn that I'll be waiting yet another week for this thing.
Time to email Volks and ask what the heck is going on.

 

I'm also disappointed in Volks for telling us that it will be ready around early February and now we're more than half way through February. This has happened before in the past few Dolpas and I feel they are becoming more and more inconsistent.

 

I don't think I'd care as much... if they hadn't obviously already both gotten our items in... AND already prepped them for shipping.

It looks like they're just sitting on them... and seeing as how we pay them quite a bit more money than we should for shipping... it's annoying me.

 

Mine says Manifest Pickup as well since last thursday!

 

Since the Sumika is only open on weekends and Monday was a holiday is it possible the delay is due to that?

 

Then... who was there on Wednesday printing out mailing slips and updating the web? :P

My other orders have been shipped out on Wednesdays as well. I think someone just *really* dropped the ball.

I've gotten shipments from volks sent out on weekdays too. I know the sumika is closed on weekdays though so when I see stuff go out on weekdays I'm generally happy.

I wonder if the shipping updates is volks' fault or ups. I've had it happen with ups where the tracking has delayed updates. And they show up at my doorstep before the website updated

Not denying though that the last few dolpas stuff gets mailed a bit later than original estimated dates.

I hope everyone gets their items soon. I have few more weeks wait for Hina.

 

I'm sure they're not just sitting idle. Along with our limited items, they have probably recieved a lot of other items that need to be taken care of. Also, maybe UPS is just being slow about picking up the packages. I'm sure they are doing their best to ensure that we all receive our precious items. I'm eager to get my h.NAOTO set, but a few more days wait won't be so bad.

Don't worry, they'll certainly arrive before the end of the month.

It's nice to know we're all in the same boat and not alone. My tinatsu's delivery date is today and I'm pretty sure she won't be at my doorstep when I get home from work. My sister sent me the cutest clothes for her, so she's not naked when she gets here, and I ordered some super cute volks shoes a bunch of weeks ago (from volksusa and during the week-- so they are filling their regular orders when they aren't open to the public)

*deeper sigh*

Just gotta keep busy and not think about it!!!!

 

Well... I used to work for UPS... and generally they're pretty on top of picking things up and updating the web
(when a package arrives at a new depot, the second it's taken off the truck, it is scanned into the computer system that is the same one that gets the info to the tracking on the web you see... at least, that's how they explained it to me)

However... once it's ON its way... who knows how long UPS might take, LOL!
I've watched them hold packages for days in Ohio until it was the day before my "estimated" arrival date... and then they sent it moving again.
I called them once on it, and the woman said "We don't do any such thing" so I asked her, why then, had my package been sitting in Ohio for 4 days... she had no idea and told me that she'd get it moving right away. LOL! (so if your package arrives somewhere a few hours away, a few days before "estimated delivery" call up UPS and ask about it... you just might get it sooner then)

I just suspect they haven't actually been sent from Volks yet.
