Volks Dolpa 18 Discussion.

Thank you so much. It just felt like i had her, because it is in my paypal and all. i will try i hope i can have her. has been a while since i had her in my cart now, but going to try credit card. do i have to pay right away? can i then say i chose wrong method and want a paypal invoice?

Well, for the first time in my AE History, you don't actually have to wait for a Paypal invoice or confirmation letter from Volks to pay through Paypal. Once you click Paypal as your payment method during the check out process the Volks site takes you into your paypal Account so you can logg in a make payment.

Is the eMail address that you have your Volks account registered under the same as the one in your Paypal Account?

What I cant understand is why Volks have this event for 3 days, when everything is sold out in 1 min. O.o??? They could have it for 5 min.

 

The event is also 3 days in the actual stores they just happen to sell out on the website in a few minutes

 

Today was my first Dolpha/After Event ever. I (well, my husband) drew number 2 in the lottery! I couldn't believe it, I was number two out of like 200! However, I was only after the SD H. Naoto dress, so that's all I got. Now reading all these posts I almost wish I had gotten a Renee, she's so cute... but I'm on budget.... I feel like I wasted my super awesome number two spot that I'll prolly never get again.

But I really love my dress *SO* happy with it! Congratulations to everyone that got what they were wishing for!

Thanks!! yes what happend was first i confirm the payment, then when i clicked "make payment" the error... i wish i would have known about credit card because now i cant do that.

 

Well, that happened to me and I still got my Renee..... So I'm assuming you didn't get a Order confirmation email? Check your My Volks Page... If your order went through it should be on your My Volks Page Order History.... Also if your order went through it should be in your Paypal Payments.... Good luck, I really hope you got your girl after all

man I feel so stupid for what happened to me (prev page) that I have a terrbile headache and my sholders are killing me... all from frustration

I mean it´s the second time this happens. Last time when I thought about getting water hanael I was in bed with flu and a very high fever so could´nt even make it out of bed on my own without falling down and fainting..it´s like I´m doomed with this kind of stuff

 

I got the suit and shoes I wanted!! It's a darn good thing too, I've waited two years for a suit for my yukijo!!

 

WOAH! Just checked my email account - even though I got the error message, my Paypal payment went through!! I GOT THEM!! All three outfits are mine! MWAHAHAHAHAHA! I thought I lost them for good! XD

Even though I couldn't get my Alain, I was able to get Chinatsu when she came back into stock.

 

I only saw the chibi outfits restocking at 7.30 JPT

 

I never saw the white kimono outfit restock even though I refreshed the page for hours and hours. I kept hoping because other things on the page would restock, just not that one. I finally just gave up and went to bed, but I dreamed about it. *cries*

 

Same thing happened to me, I wanted the Henly Jean set but never saw it come in stock. DOH!

 

Looks like I'm the only one who went for Tinatsu. Got her plus the outfit she is wearing in all of the pictures

 

uuugh was on a plane during the AE so couldn't even try I wanted the white kimono so much~~
ohwell, time to stalk volks USA..

If it's any consolation, the Chibi snow set for girls never came in stock. The rest of the outfits they stocked in order, which was kind of weird, but nice.

Now to wait for the VolksUSA sale.

 

I don't know if anyone is interested in this, but there are 44 Hinaichigos and 44 Suigintous listed on Yahoo Japan right now. If you couldn't get one before, this may be your next best opportunity. It is kind of sad to see though. And I'm not sure if most of the dolls are from the After Event at the stores or the TBS lottery.

And congratulations to everyone who was able to get something in the international on-line after event -- especially those of you lucky enough to get Renee, she's a cutie!

 

Its sad like sunflowerdoll says, that so many of those limited dolls now are for sale on Yahoo japan for alot more then volks take for them. Its sad that those ppl got thier hands on the dolls instead of those who really wanted them.

Gee...why is so many nice dolls limited. Kinda sucks! >.<

 

I finally got around looking at Yahoo! Japan and man, it's a sad sight to see so many Suigintous on there listed immediately after the event. What can you do, y'know...

Oh well, I have too many incoming anyway..... I will just look at owner's pictures.

 

On the bright side (well, brightest it can hope to be), she's dropped about 100000 JPY in price. The first two sold for around 360000 and that trend continued for a bit. Still, her price can still be labeled ridiculous >_<
However, I've seen three that went for buyout prices at 230000 JPY, which means, although that's still quite the markup, some are giving the opportunity to purchase her a *little* cheaper.

 

I was so wired after the obsessive attempt to win little renee - when I finally pried myself off the counch and up to the actual bed - I had long confusing dark dreams of searching for a lost young girl in endless city streets and alleyways. She needed protecting.
YUCK!

 

^^; some people may call me dumb...but I really did like Suigintou...but I knew that from the start I wanted Renee much much more...and when I lost Renee three times since her picture release: the luck that the volks dealers would have them and in the US lottery...and this morning at the crack monkey of Dawn I while I had been sick in bed for days ...was still determined to get Renee...and still lost her...
I had a really good friend call me up very down that she has lost Suigintou...about as down as I was about Renee...some of you saw that I won Suigintou...and I did...but I felt a bit more saddened that a friend wanted her so much more and wasn't even interested in the other any of the non Rozen maiden dolls (as she has all of them so far...except for Suigintou) ...so I offered her My Suigintou...as I knew that she wanted her far more than I did...I knew I wanted her a lot ...but I'd rather of had Renee...sadly enough...but at least I was able to make a very good friend of mine very happy ^_^

I knew I may have been able to ask for a trade...but it wouldn't have been a fair trade in my opinion...so I'd rather Suigintou go to my friend ...I will try to get Renee at non Scalping prices or by Trade...as I still very much so want her...but if it wasn't meant to be it wasn't meant to be...

I"m so very sorry to all those who went after Renee and did not get her...I am in the same boat you are in...but I"m happy to those who did get her...please love and cherish her...and if you feel you can't bond with her...please allow her to go to a loving new home, someone who wanted her and tried desperately for her...but couldn't get her due to computer lag or not fast enough clicking ...

oh and Funny enough...for those who remember my Masha/FDQ incident...hehehe...I emailed volks about my situation about even having to call the Police and having lost my girl...Volks did not answer at all after month and month of waiting for some kind a response....Volks ignored not only one email I sent...but two...didn't even respond about anything....( but the did listen to a sweet fellow DoA member who knew the situation and called teh Sato Store in Japan and did talk to her...but basically told her that there was nothing they could do unless FDQ asked them to make one more Masha specifically just for me)

....but the second I emailed them about being disappointed that Renee was super limited... I got an email response like no joke and no exaggeration, 2 mins after I sent off an email of disappointment...I get a response of So sorry for your Disappointment...we didn't' think she'd be this popular and sought after...we hope you support our future dolls ^^;

^^; I was super shocked that I got an instant response over a page of Disappointment...but got no response for a missing doll due to negligence on FDQ's part...I know Volks wasn't responsible for the missing doll...but I was hoping that they'd ata least give me some kind of response saying that they would talked to FDQ to try and find a Solution being it was a Volks Dolpa limited doll

 

Lady Saiyuki: That's interesting I guess sadly since Masha was sold as an FDQ exclusive volks was treating it as not bought through them. I remember your plight on her so well. I hope you are able to find Renee at not so bad a price.

Thankies Aree * Huggles* yeah but the most interesting is that Volks re-released the Same exact edition Masha for the HB doll thing they had for 2007 later that year ^^;...the Same clothes, same faceup, and same eyes and wig...that is what got me so much... as FDQ were completely sticking to the issue that Volks would never release her again as she was at the NYC2...and they did... and that FDQ had no problems asking Volks for 5 more cause they "over sold" her and didn't' want to refund anyone's money...but wouldn't ask for one for me even though it was their fault she didn't make it to me...

but yeah I super hope that I can get a Renee at a not so bad price...as I really want her...

 

Actually, I just wanted to point out the Huis ten Bosch event hasn't occurred yet. ^^;; Volks is re-releasing the exact same Masha for the February 2008 Huis ten Bosch event.

I think you're giving your Suigintou to a friend who wanted one desperately is incredibly generous and I really hope it brings you some good dolly karma so that you're able to get a Renee.

(And I hope things work out with FDQ re: your Masha as well! Stay on them and keep contacting them! )

 

The HB is this year in March no? Really not sure how to read the Masha re-release unless it's that she's not released again in the US. Who knows how companies think in the end.

We can also pray they re-release Renee since she wasn't specifically an exclusive it would be nice if volks released her in one of the US Dolpas this year. Afterall they released Tinatsu and Kuuta both in US then Japan in close succession dolpas.

 

Lady Saiyuki thanks so much for posting about this. I was wondering what evolved in your sad Masha saga. How terrible that neither Volks or FDQ felt any responsibility to you and the criminal loss of your doll. It makes me angry.

Hearing of your generosity with your friend is very therapeutic! You are setting such a wonderful example of friendship and ethics! Hearing that story makes me feel better. Thanks.

Volks' response about Renee is an eye opener too. I guess they really did base her production quantity on the lackluster sales of Kurt and SwD Kaede. Somehow that makes me even sadder. If they ever re-release her I bet it would be super limited and exclusive like the Masha and Toppi re-issues. Maybe Volks could make a replacement Masha for you from the HB event. If wishes were horses.. then Masha would ride home to you then!

I wonder how many folks got Renee in the AE? Is there a poll up for that yet?

I"m very very glad I was able to make a friend so happy about Suigintou...and I do hope too that I will have enough Luck and good Dolly karma to be able to bring Renee home to me O.O

and yeah O.O releasing Renee at the NYC DOLPA 3 or heck I'd travel to LA dolpa next year if they had Renee there ....would be Fantastical O.O OMG ...I have new hope...I"m going to email volks ^^; ...as I'm odd...

@Sheri: There's no poll yet... But I counted 4 people so far, including myself, got Renee during the AE.

 

Awe thank you so very much Sheri O.O *HUGs* but yeah...I ended up filing a Police report and then had to wait an obscene amount of time and complaining before FDQ would even consider giving me my money back... and even then I didnt' think that was enough...as I didnt' want the money I wanted the doll...as for Volks...I don't think they would make me one...as Volks customer service has been a big let down in that situation...and the didn't even email me back at all...so I'm not holding my hopes up...

I did get a ton of offers to bring her home at like $1350-$1500... ^^: which was also not what I was looking for...as she was only an $858 doll...but like I say if they come home to me...even if it takes years...like my Open eyed Suzu (and I got her at almost original retail value...with tons of Extras...in perfect condition from someone who wought her a retail value and sold her for what she paid...that person made my 2007) ...then that means they are meant to come home...I will not give up hope on my Renee...nor have I truly given up hope on my Masha...I still have hope ^_^

I'm glad there was a response from Volks regarding the really small production numbers for Renee. At least we know they're aware that her popularity far exceeded their expectations. I, too, am hoping that they'll do a re-release of her somewhere down the line as there's no way I'd be able to afford her in the after market... but she's the first doll to ever grab hold of me and who knows if another will roll around like that ever again (since I'm so picky).

i came from After event of fukuoka... all are soldout... i had figthed for only Yo tanistu and one dress for sd17 for my unon (hope that fit) ! no more doll, or clothes... just the poor jeans volks and poor miniDD

Sadly I lost out on her. Her page froze when I tried to refresh and just wouldn't load until 15 minutes later! By then she was obviously sold out. I saw "there is a little bit left over" when I checked 40 minutes after the start of the AE and when I clicked "to order" - I got the usual "505 error"!! My friend who kindly tried to help me at the same time saw "to order" 3 times and tried 3 times and the stupid server also screwed up

So, yes I am extremely disappointed. I hadn't planned on getting her as I couldn't go to dolpa in December and couldn't try for the volks lottery as well. I wanted her really badly as she reminds me of my kitten - a stray which I picked up on New Year's Day in the carpark near my apartment. My kitten is named Ginger and I had wanted to re-name Renee "Ginger" as well.

My next hope would be to buy her from someone who didn't bond with her.

I didn't realise Renee was so cute until I looked in at the AE online to see if there were any Tinatsu left (not that I could afford her either!)

Interestingly enough, I could only find one on Y!J (using Rinkya and searching for 'Dolpa 18')
