Volks Dolpa 18 Discussion.

I was hoping they would tell us before the LA dolpa >_<

ah yes, msd would be the better choice, eventhough i can just see her as a little yo-sd lol, volks always waits until almost the last minute to release the info, they need to soon, it's killing me!!

 

A YoSD would make a cute Sumomo (while we are on the topic of licensed charaters) ...I'd love to see them do Suigintou!

This has become a very dark thread... obviously Volks Lotteries put us in a wicked mood XD

 

I would hope that they wouldn't do the same thing that they did with pullip and make a butt ugly Hina-Ichigo. That would make me very sad, as Hina's one of my favorite characters. Also, if they announce a Suigintou, I'm paying a shopping service to get me one from dollpa. The auctions on her would be horrific to behold. >.>

I think it's likely that she'll be available to us too at the time of the Dolpa.
Shinku wasn't, but Souseiseki and Suiseiseki were.
So I'm hoping that they decide to make all of the future Rozen Maidens available to us from now on.

I was wondering when they would release a Hina Ichigo myself.

 

They did? How? *was totally unaware that sousei/suisei were available other than via auctions or shopping services.* They weren't listed on the english version of the Dollpa 17 page. :/

there's news about Huis Ten Bosch 2008! but none about the dolpa! T__T Dolpa is before!

I think this is because there's only one week left for apply for Huis Ten Bosch before the deadline closes. ^^ They probably released news about Masha before Dolpa18 so they could get more applications from people. ^^

 

Do you know? The Customize Contest theme is "&#20108;&#20154;&#12398;&#24819;&#12356;&#20986;" (memories of two...lovers?).

When the theme was Rose, Rosen Maiden doll Shinku came. So I think Kurumi & Tony (& Hewitt) line story or Tsukasa & Jun (Volks set them as a couple, not with Isao x__x) might come... Yukinojo & Olivia? I think many of Japanese wish it but at least Olivia would never come...maybe. *cry*

Even if they do re-release Jun T., there'll still be several new sculpts! The Christmas Dolpa (from what I've seen) tends to be one of the bigger ones, no? And thus bigger = more dolls. ^ ~

EDIT: If they re-release Tsukasa, I will be ecstatic. And re-releases aren't all that bad. I mean, look at Hewitt II. x3

A dolpa is a big-big event but Volks sells 5 or 6 dolls of different sizes. And I think that they must surprise us with a precious mold not a release. May be a Jun T one off...

In any case.... I would like to have notices about dolpa! 1 month and 2 days for the event!! ^^

I can't read Japanese but it sort of looks that way. There is text beneath where I can read "Doll's Party 18" I *THINK* they're also being sold at Comiket but I can't read enough Japanese to know for sure.

I believe that if they make Kurt he will be probably SD16 because Amelia is SD16 and they are supposed to be lovers... Also it is 2 years now since they released Yukinojo so they should release SD16 boy soon... ^^

Oh, a rerelease of Kurumi and Tony would be so cute!!! I hope they rerelease them soon! An SD16/17 Kurt would also be wonderful! So would another Rozen Maiden doll!

Awww! Those DDs are so cute! I'm not familiar with the series, but I think Mikuru is adorable.

Also anyone know why Mikuru's school uniform costs more than the regular school uniform? Does it include shoes or something?

 

There's no detail info yet... but I'm guessing it might include her wig without pigtails, and maybe shoes and socks.
We'll see when they update the info!

yes I think that's the deal also..that and maybe the uniform will be made for an L Bust DDII rather than the M bust cause Mikuru is an L(?)..

let's see now if they'll surprise us and give us yet another MDD with this Dolpa as an addition to when all the final products will leak..

I can't believe they lost the opportunity to finally introduce an S bust with Yuki cause she is really flat at the Anime....too bad...

hee-hee..I've been praying and begging them for a MDD CCS but since the theme is really old and they seem to be only considering recent popular themes it is not most likely..
but hope dies last I guess...

 

Lol, maybe they are afraid that would turn down too many males DD collectors... or maybe they just like the DD breats too much to flatten them! To them if might be one of their selling points : nice big breats

 

I think Volks always stick with the same anime/games companies for copyright reasons.
So far there was Evangelion (Rei), Muv Luv (Yoshiro Kasumi), Da Capo/Suika (Asakura Nemu, Shirakawa Kotori and Sayaka), To Heart 2 (Kousaka Tamaki, Komaki Manaka, Yuzuriha Konomi), Yoake Mae yori Ruri Iro na (Feena and Estel), Kimi Ga Nozomu Eiein (Ayu and Mayu) and and now Suzumiya Haruhi (Haruhi, Yuki and Mikuru).

Kimi Ga Nozomu Eiein is not really that new anymore but they still released the Mini DDs with that theme maybe because of their existing connection with âge (Muv Luv, Kimi Nozo...)... so who knows what they'll do next. One clue is that they seem to make the DDs from characters they have already done either 1/6 dolls, model kits or customized figure kits with. And if I'm right those were all from ecchi pc games (except Evangelion and Suzumiya Haruhi) Volks like ecchi!!! lol

Now Volks already has connections with Leaf/Aquaplus because of To Heart... I really wish they would make an Utawarerumono DD!!! I would buy it no questions asked! *dreaming* Sorry to be going off topic a little hehhee...

 

omg!! the SOS girls are great!! i've always been tempted to get Haruhi even tho i'm not DD fan...
but they need to make Koizumi & Kyon dolls too, that's only fair!! (will hurt all kinds of resolves i made tho >>)

I hope they release a new SD17 boy. Even if I don't like the face I want the body for my floating head. If they made an SD17 Kurt he'd probably have weird froggy attributes that wouldn't look good on a normal person (webbed fingers, fins).

Ooo...looking at the logo, I'm thinking maybe another faerie tale theme is in the works. The '1' is a boot...the '8'is a cat, and the top right corner of the Dolpa 18 has a little cavalier-style hat with ears. Puss in Boots, anyone?

Oh no... not Puss in Boots... He was my favorite character when I was a child but I do not want another animal-like doll from Volks. Firstly frog and now cat? Oh come on Volks But if he would be the 100&#37; human Puss only with a cat outfit than I go for it!
