    1. Well, some people are starting to receive shipping notices for the Sabers, and while both the second wave Sabers and Yukis arrived at the same time, and I'm expecting Volks to be working on shipping out the Sabers first before Yuki.
       
    2. Grrr, I had 5 Dolpa 27 items in my cart, and after I entered my payment info, the one set I really wanted was now not instock after I already had it in my cart. I got so mad, I canceled the entire order. Oh well. Bummer! I can't even say it will be Volks loss, I know the other items will sell out sooner then later. Man, just so frustrating. :( Maybe it was a sign, I need to spend the funds on more important things.
       
    3. I had the same problem. I added both the Silver Mic Stand set and the Black Headphones, and after I entered all my info, the Headphones were out of stock. They should put the item on hold once it's in your cart to give you a chance to put your info in! :evil:

    5. I think I might be the only person actually prefer VolksUSA current selling system. I have been less successful via Volks international, where they allow you to keep the items in your cart, as compared to VolksUSA. Most of the time, I will be able to get what I wanted via VolksUSA, though I always try to minimize myself to 3 items or less, and try to check out as fast as I can. Volks International, most of the time, I can't even put the item into the cart. :/
       
    6. I had to vent! I'm better now. Silly, when you arrange your day just to acquire an outfit (I so totally did this, and had the items all ready opened on my computer and just had to refresh at 11am.) and then be shot down. But like Alrick said...give us a chance to pay when it's in our cart. :P I've lucked out on the lottery so maybe this is the volks fairies telling me, I need to give someone else a chance. ^_^
       
    7. The headphones fell out of my shopping-cart, too! :doh: It happens every time, though. I'm cursed when it comes to that particular item... I think this must be like the 5th Dolpa in the past 7 years where I've missed the damn headphones.

      However, it is the first time that I've ever gotten the mic-stand to stay in my shopping cart long enough to check out, though, so not a total loss. If you try enough years eventually the Volks faeries take pity on you, I guess. But they're clearly not through tormenting me about the farking headphones yet. I can but try another day....
       
    8. I do not know any on-line shopping site system that actually HOLDS items in your cart and prevent others from putting the same items in their cart and try to pay for it before you do. Nothing is deducted from the seller's end (however many the items are left) until the item is sold so if there is only 1 item, technically 100 people can still put that same remaining item in all 100 carts and the 1st person that checks out first and pays is the only one who gets it (it may be the last person who put it in the cart but the first who paid for it), everyone else will not be able to check out and pay for it even though it's still in the cart. And of course once that person pays for that last item, another person who tries to put the item in their cart afterwards, cannot do it because it will show as sold out. In other words, whoever pays first gets it until it sells out. Doesn't matter how many people put it in their cart (in the cart, does not guarantee purchase). I mean, people do put things in their cart and never ever pays nor go through the entire transaction all the way to the end so, it wouldn't make sense for the on-line shopping cart system to hold all these items if they were to do it in the way you suggest. I mean, how would the cart system know which cart out of everyone's will actually become an official sale? So it is what it is ^^

      But I do know of some sites where the cart does not get refreshed or there is no refresh button so I would leave things in my cart for 3 days, try to pay for it 3 days later and during check-out/payment it will say some items are not available anymore (but before I get to the check-out page, my cart page still has everything there even after I click the update button).
       
    9. As far as I know, Volks International website does allow up to 8 hours hold for items that you put into your cart. As long as you're signed in, and the items are in your cart, they're yours if you pay within that 8 hours time frame. After the 8 hours and if you still haven't paid, the items will be released for other buyers. I was able to combine shipping some of the limited releases because of this, but a lot of times, I found that getting the items into your cart is a lot harder than checking out on VolksUSA website. I was able to get the 3 items I wanted from VolksUSA that I failed on getting from the Volks International website.
       
    10. I think that's a misconception about the 8 hour hold ^^

      What happened in your case was just that your items in the cart were still available when you checked out later. If someone still bought them all (and no restock or cancellation) within those 8 hours where you did not paid for the items in your cart, even though it still showed that they are in your cart, they are not going to be available in final check-out by the time you try to pay for yours even if it's within 8 hours. They do not hold at all.

      Volks (both international, Japan, USA) I've had the same thing happen where new limited outfits/item were released, I put them in my cart, but when I tried to pay right away, it showed it's no longer available because other people had them in their cart too but paid for them before I managed to. I mean, I've had a friend who put a limited item in her cart the same time I did but paid for it like 5 seconds quicker than I did and she got it but I didn't. We both had the same item in our carts. This is all within 10 minutes time. There's no hold whatsoever. If you really want it you must just do everything quickly all the way to check-out and wish that luck is on your side. If they do hold by any means, people wouldn't complain about trying to check out right away but still end up with nothing ^^

      Volks make you pay right away, so they do not offer combine shipping with separate orders and what not (I've never asked them but I remember reading on their site that they do not do it). Unlike say Luts, or Crobi where you can wait a few days and use paypal/cc/bank/wire transfer etc to pay with your order number. In that case the items in your cart is on hold for a few days and others cannot buy them (while they wait for you to pay). So you can combine shipping that way and they let you. If no payment, then your entire order gets canceled and put back on their site within a certain number of days. That's the only form of hold I can think of. (this does not apply to Volks)
       
    11. I just wish once it's put in the cart its not available for anyone else to grab and if you do not pay for it within 10 min or so then it goes back out on the floor so to speak. I was only tying to buy the jean jacket and I put it in the cart and started checking out then bam!...LOL!

      During the release of limited items, a lot of times the website will act funny due to a lot of people trying to access the site. I got items thrown out from my cart before, and when I tried to log in, the website would switch to the Japanese site and so on. Even with checking out, right at the end, there usually would be the problem with completing the order, an error message would appear and all the items in my cart were gone. This is why I usually wait an hour after the actual release time before trying anything.
      The website becomes more stable then, and I'm usually more successful then.

      I actually tried the "hold system" a couple of times already. :D They only have this recently, after the re-did their website. The limited items that I had on hold were listed as "sold out" on their site when I finally checked out. The most recent examples were the limited items that I got from the Sendai Dolpa. I got most of the popular limited clothes that were sold out on their site with the exception of the yellow bikini. I wanted to wait until I get the yellow bikini set before checking out. When I still couldn't, and it was maybe 4 or 5 hours later that I decided to check out and was successful even though those items were sold out on their site. Same with Haruka DD and Megohime, I had them in my cart but wasn't sure whether to purchase them since I wanted Sakura and Miki more. When I checked the next morning, they were still in my cart even though they were sold out on their site. I couldn't resist the temptation and got them also. :'D
      This is why some of the limited release would randomly appear after the actual release, besides Volks restocking them. Some people added the items into their cart but didn't bother checking out so the items got release for others to purchase. At least this is what I believe. ^^
       
    14. ^so there IS such a thing? That's so strange because from the FAQ, I thought they meant that your cart doesn't change during this time (Volks doesn't empty it or make you re-add stuff back to cart) but once you get to check-out it you may still get nothing if someone pays before you did (which goes back to what I was saying earlier). So if there's 100 items only 100 people can even put them in the cart 1st and the rest cannot even add the items into their carts? I didn't buy off the website for the Sendai items but the hold did not apply to me when I tried to buy the limited uniforms back in March. I tried checking out right away after I added the limited items in my cart but by the time I got to payment I only got to buy 2 out of 4 items in my cart. I do not know if that's before the site was revamped or not. Sounds like a buggy situation.
