I Have a question for those who had won the event lottery, Does the price on the VOlks webpage include the shipping? or did you have to pay extra fees?

 

Shipping is separate.

 

I just got my special-items-lottery notification today: I got Isao's second wig. And enough Yo-SD option hands to reenact Bergman's "The Seventh Seal" in sign language.

 

I will wait patiently for this photo shoot. :3

Oh no. I didn't win Jun's optional hand and Komame. I think I'm going to cry. I've been wanting a Komame since I bought SD13 Jun way back when and I thought this was finally my chance. Unfortunately my order status shows as cancelled, so I know I didn't win.

By chance, can anyone tell me what to input in the Y!J search if I want to find an auction for Komame? I speak absolutely no Japanese.

OK! : But Chibi Isao will be my first and only Yo-SD-- so, unless Volks brings out Chibi Shiro soon, the Angel of Death will be played by Jimmy the Fetus Reitenshi. Stay tuned.

 

Thank you! I'm not sure how big this Komame is in comparison the one that comes with Megu, or even to the original with SD13 Jun.

No I think it's the same size. But it's bigger than the Komame keychain that came with the book.

maybe it's their strategy to make people go for upcoming megu with komame! ^^

 

No email or cancelled order means you didn't win. I don't think it's strategy to get people to try for Megu. I was thinking it was they didn't make enough parts. Their last Dolpas didn't sell out as well as Dolpas in the past so possibly made less supply than demand for Jun.

It's sad Jun seems like she is missing something minus Komame. I ordered direct from Volks mainly for chance at Komame and hand part. I equate Komame more with Jun than Megu even though they use Megu & Komame combo as a logo of sorts. On a side note what do the other 3 sisters have if Megu gets a Komame.

 

It was said that they were looking at an april shipping date for the dolpa26 orders?
Just trying to find out a more exact date or so.

Really? Shipping Already? I havent heard from KL yet.....I'm going to email Rochelle to ask her if she knows anything!

 

KL is closed this whole week, though, for SXSW. If people are getting ship notices from Volks USA though, I estimate KL orders will probably get to the store and sent out in...a week or so? Depends on how long it takes to check, repackage, and ship.

 

Volks usually ships the dolls to KL together with to the ones won by customers in the Volks USA Lottery. :3 So Rochelle will most possibly be receiving them when we receive ours from VolksUSA, and then she will ship them out. Probably next week, indeed. ^^

 

Got an email from Rochelle last night, I had asked for a final total on my SwD Nono, and she said the shop was closed until Tuesday but she might go get the list today. Either way, the dolls have to get to Austin before they can go out to us. Still, it feels so close at hand now!

 

I just spoke with her via email and indeed shop is closed and she is going to send out emails soon. Won't be long now, yay!

 

Just got an e-mail from Kerbey Lane; looks like the dolls are on their way to the shop and balances are due ASAP.

Seems like the dolls arrived earlier than expected; the original due-date for payment was April 3rd. Good thing I always have enough in my savings account. ^^'; I was planning on cashing out PTO from work for little Isao on my next paycheck.

 

I was prepared to wait for April, too, but here is the little bugger sitting all boxed-up in my cubicle! Other Californian Isaos might be on the same truck. How wonderful to get to have him for the weekend. I'll get to photograph him tomorrow.

Can I take this opportunity to say.... I was a little freaked out by such a tiny box. I've never bought a Yo before. In fact, I don't think I've ever been in the situation where New Doll = "a box you can carry with only 1 arm" before! After schlepping SD13 and EID boxes up these steep SF hills, it feels funny to be able to stuff this guy in my messenger-bag.

 

Yay! Looking fwd to all the box openings! Cant wait for my first proper gals! I will be away when they arrive though but it still feels good to know that they will be home to greet me!

Wow, dolls coming in already? Awesome! I'm looking forward to getting a package from KL then, already paid though so I don't think I'll hear any news for awhile.

And congrats, JennyNemesis! I now have this image of one, wee little Isao (decked out in his amazing boots, of course) surrounded by "giants".

 

Hehe, thanks... well, the chibi is already making friends with just everyone and everything, despite being barely taller than one of Radu's boots. Everything looks like giants next to him.



He is so teensy and funny and stumpy!! And it kills me the way the wig is an exact miniature of the original, and the shirt and pants and boots. This is such an awesome fullset.

The faceup is wonderfully done, the same soft russet-brown coloring that Isao v.2 has. Even the same eyebrow-shape (which are usually hidden under the same shaggy bleach-blond bangs). But they gave him a big huge goofy Yo grin, instead of Big Isao's enigmatic half-smile. This is the best closeup I've managed to get so far (my little camera doesn't like to zoom in so far on such small things! ^^).

Last I saw on their FB they were asking for people that still had a balance to pay so Volks could ship.

Just saw this posted on KL's website, for those of us anxiously waiting :

"Volks shipped our DP26 dolls & outfits today. Delivery is Tuedsay. Box Fairy Lanie will be busy! Ha ha"

So maybe we'll get our dolls late next week/the week after?

 

Wow, really? That seems a bit inconsiderate of those who paid immediately (upon notification as required) because their dolls are now being held in limbo due to those who didn't pay. No wonder KL instituted the new payment rules.

I am sure they will be busy. And collectors will be relieved.

 

It is not, really. No one thought the dolls would be ready so early. It's like a giant group order so it doesn't matter is all the Juns are paid, for example, if there were two Iasos still waiting. Volks can't/won't ship part of an order I guess. Going the Volks USA route is better if someone wants their doll to arrive quickly. I'm just glad I was lucky to be able to pay my Jun off early! I feel bad for those that budgeted for making the layaway payments excatly when they were due. Scrambling is not fun.

 

Didn't they say in the beginning payment was due at the end of March?

 

Final payment was due by April 3. There was still at least a month left for anyone that broke the payments up and had budgeted exactly to be finished on April 3 when they got the notice that the dolls were ready way ahead of ETA. Hence the headache scramble dash of trying to get everyone with a balance to pay ASAP.

 

Ah..i got my Yo-SD Isao last week but I won't get to see him until next month because he was sent to my brother's house in Ottawa. I paid $85 in border tax (customs). Ouch. But i can't wait to see his little face. Congrats to all those who got their dolls.

Hooray! I'm glad he finally at least got to his first destination... hopefully he'll have a smooth trip from Ottawa. Post him when he gets here!

 

Actually, From KLs original email: "Failure to pay balance by March 3rd will result in forfeit of deposit and doll." So really anyone stretching it out to April is rude. I like the new KL rules.
