Volks Doll's Party 26 (Tokyo Big Site) will be 18th December 2011

Do you think Volks will, from now on, release all limiteds with the SDgr body~?

 

I love sd gr body and msd cute body now. if they come out, I will lost money on them.

 

I really really hope so! That body is so fantastic.. It would be shame to only have it available for a few releases

I am not sure. I really hope so. Did they continue to release the SD-13 boys body after they came out with the Grboy body? I know they have released the SD-17 but I cannot remember for the life of me about the SD-13. It does not help that I do not collect boys. I am just hoping for no one new that is a must have girl. My list just keeps growing.

 

Tsuki: They have had a boy come out on the SD13 body after the SDGr release, Kujo was on a regular SD13 body, so I think Volks will still release LE's on the old bodies, perhaps just not as frequently. n.n

 

If she is included in this Dolpa my walled is sooooo screwed

 

Unless a WS DDS with that Akira Smile I will be fine from this dolpa. Hopefully.

 

Thanks! I guess it will just depend on what Volks felt like doing. I know with Charlotte and Lieselotte they have different bodies. I actually would love Luna just on a regular ole SD-13 body since it fits Val Zeitler clothes better, and I have a ton. But I would really love that new body just to play with.
As of late I have been really addicted to yo's so that could spell trouble for me.

 

I don't know what to expect... >.> There's only one boy on my wishlist and he's SD17 Cecile the Scarface... *I can dream, right?* But I might be screwed big time if they release a handsome SDGr/SD17 boy for the December DP. I manage to skip right through Date... that was lucky. ^^ Oh... and maybe some new YoSD Piccolo or Kira... (_ _) They're so expensive on YJ.

 

Add me to the list wishing for Luna.......I would be thrilled with her in any form, skin color, size!

 

I hope no Yo-Kira because I just bought her off the marketplace and although I did get a good deal compared to others I have seen I paid much more than retail. I do love Piccolo but I dont do boys. I would love a SD-17 Cecile for my good friend (Roweena23) she has him in in SD-13 sunlight and she would love him as a SD-17. She just got that last Williams so she would be in heaven and I like to drool over her boys. I do wish Volks would do teaser pics early so I can plan Xmas better. LOL

I don't think I'd get Suigintou (unless I have a lot of extra money floating around at that time) but I do think she's lovely so I'd love to have more of her in circulation so there would be more photos of her!!! I would luuuuv a 4 sisters yo ;~;. Or re-release Kanon/Neon!!

I've always loved so many of the one-offs! It makes me very very very very very sad that I can't enter for some of them

I think it would be awesome if there was a spy and they saw all the dolls we wanted to be re-released and it was a giant "Re-Release Dolpa"

If it happens I will go directly to this dolpa too, right from the US But I think re-release Suigintou is highly unlikely

 

Is there a guide anywhere to registering for the Dolpas? I was already thinking of going to Japan in December, and this just helps seal the deal

 

All you would need to do to attend the Dolpa is purchase the guidebook. It is your entrance ticket. I would recommend buying it online before hand to insure that it is not sold out by the time you get to Japan, though it will be in stock at the various Volks stores to pick up in person as well.

I cannot tell you how much I wish that was true but can you imagine the number of people that would enter? I sort of get why they only allow attendees to enter. I would love Suiguinto but I dont believe there will be any Rosen Maidens that are not one-off available. Again, I am still rooting for LUNA!!

 

I've booked a trip for the 13th-20th - I am so there! Now to figure out a good way to carry my Williams with me...I'm thinking wrapped up well in a hard-sided carry on bag. I'm so excited, this will be my first trip outside North America (the only country besides the US I've been to is Canada.)

 

Ahh, Rozen Maiden rereleases would be lovely... But I have the same thought as Tsukidoll about them not doing them outside of one-offs

Luna would be lovely. I'd have to at least try if it were Luna! But I am hoping mainly for Remi.


Solitary, have you considered carrying him in your purse? There really isn't size limits on purses, usually. Just have him sitting up in your purse and keep him safe between your calves and feet n_n I have done that while flying with dolls. Packing them or putting them overhead scares me a bit too much!

 

That might work too. My only fear with purses is them getting jostled when I'm getting on/off the plane, but if I keep just a minimum amount of stuff in there and can zip it up, that's a good option.

 

True, I can see your worry there! If you do go with it, just hold the bag tight. Or maybe try to wait to get on and off. Since most are assigned seats anyways, I find it easier than rushing on! XD

I managed to do it with two dolls and my dog in my other arm.. I have hope in you Do let us know which method you use! SD17 has got to be so big to lug around *-*

 

In my opinion, bringing an SD17 to a dolpa is no easy task. Especially if you are planning to 'run' into the dolpa and get to the booths before everyone. Your doll might be stolen or lost >< that's why I would probably advice you to bring a Yo, or the most an MSD >< !

 

If I had one, I would, but so far the only Volks doll I have is an SD17 u_u;; Of course, I guess that'd be one excuse to buy a new doll in the next few months... I do want a yo-sd sometime soon. But I haven't found the right one on the marketplace just yet. I don't plan on rushing very much, though...I prefer to avoid the worst crowds, so I will be sneaking along at my own pace and just take what I can get.

 

solitary agent, I propose you to think about what if you buy several dolls(for example) on the Dolpa or not only at the Dolpa (yes, it's Japan, everything might happen) how do you plan to transport them back to US plus your own doll? You can only take one small suitcase and one small "personal item" such as a purse with you on a plane as a carry on. Of course you can check them in, but it's scary.

P.S. We took two large empty suitcases with us to Japan for the last trip and on the way back they were full and we had a lot of extra carry on for the stuff that didn't fit

My mom and I went to NYC a couple of years ago and bought too much stuff. We just shipped it home via FedEx. It was cheaper than adding luggage!

 

Did you check the internationally shipping rates lately?
The luggage is certainly going to be cheaper. $200 for 70lbs each up to extra 8 suitcases per person And you get to check two free suitcases up to 70lbs each per person.
For comparison one SD17 doll from Japan to US via EMS cost us 84.000yen ($110).

 

Whenever I got to Japan, don't talk about dolpas. I bring 2 extra bags >< I usually go to Sumika to see if there are any dolls for sale. And when I come back from Japan, the 2 bags are always full >< sometimes I have to pack the doll without the box >< and shipping is crazy >< from Japan to Singapore cost me 5400yen(USD54) for a Yo-Sd from Yahoojp ><

If I'm allowed two, then that's no problem, I'll bring very minimal clothes and use one solely for what I buy while I'm there For that matter, I may be able to get most of my clothes and toiletries in my carry-on. I'm very low-maintenance.

Edit: I checked with the airline's website and I can check two bags at no charge, but only up to 50 pounds is free. 50-70 is $60 extra but don't dare go over 70 pounds, then it's $450 each suitcase D: But if needed, a single passenger can check up to ten bags. That is NOT going to be necessary, but it's good to know

 

I always hand-carry my dolls during flights, but in a doll bag. I bought a really good bag from CoolCat, and it's extra padded, with thick pillows on the sides, top, and bottom. ^^ It can contain 2 SD17 dolls easily, and I can strap it on my shoulders. ^^ Storing the bag in the overhead cabin is no problem at all. With all the pillows and straps the dolls can't even move, and any pressure would be eliminated by the bag and pads. Just make sure the bag is full and there's no space for them to move around.

CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THEY HAVE SABER ALTER AND SABER NERO'S SWORDS UP? I don't know that series well, but I've never seen Saber Nero with the other sword...only Alter. *Still wants fully armored Alter*

 

Could they perhaps be releasing Saber Alter and Saber Nero at the same Dolpa for a one two punch of evil?

I've never been a big Type Moon fan, but I loved Saber Lily's DD design and resisted her. I may not be able to for Saber Nero since I sort of love how she's the sort of pointless, fanservice Saber. I can only hope Volks achieves her see through skirt and panty revealing outfit perfectly.

 

Flying man in the sky, save us all from this horror that is Volks maybe releasing two Sabers at once.

Oh, I really hope they do supply us with her "fanservice goodies." :3 I have to admit I'm not the biggest Type-Moon fan either, but I've always had a thing for the Sabers' designs...oTL;; Here hoping I don't need to aim for two. oTL;;

On figure.fm I saw a couple of mentions of the Type Moon DD (Saber/Sabers?) being "web order". Not sure what that means though (someone, anyone, pretty please explain? is that like the White Album girls?), or if it is correct.

So maybe not for Dolpa?

 

Would that be like what they did for the Gurren Legann DD series as well? O.o'' I've also read about it being a "Web Order" and was wondering what they meant by it. At least Overseas buyers can still do it if it is...right?

The Volks international site has a banner ad for the Type Moon release(s), and it says "A new Dollfie Dream preorder project now begins", so I would imagine that the release will be not Japan-only. Plus all the previous Fate DD's and DD items have been released internationally, so I think we have an excellent chance.

Though at this point, I am thinking we may be in the wrong thread, since I can't recall a Dolpa release ever being called a "preorder project", let alone one announced 3+ months before the actual Dolpa.

 

I'll happily start a new thread if that seems necessary? Considering I have to agree with you, I've never heard of it being called that either! I'd just title it "Volks x Type-Moon 10th Anniversary DD Saber project!" or something. IDK. xD I'd happily take the time to make it if it seems they are (and it really does) just a special website pre-order~

 

Aw... Honestly, I'm tired of seeing the Saber series pop up >_>;; I mean, I've never seen the series, and I do love the DD's because they're so full of moé but seriously Volks D8 I think they're riding on the franchise too much >_< I would really love to see a new series every now and then~ Like the rest of the Touhou girls! Or I would really love to see DD's of the girls from the DS game, "Love Plus"!

 

There are wonderful girls in Strawberry Marshmallow by Barasui. Nobue Ito, Chica, Miu, Anna and Matsuri. I'd buy every single one of them in DD form o.~

 

I think VolksUSA just confirmed Sabers will be available for those in the USA 8D

So if DD Saber is a separate event, I wonder who the Dolpa DD girls will be. If their Madoka characters I may be swayed to get one. :3

Oh also, I'd love to see a DD Kurisu Makisa from Steins;Gate. But I don't even think Volks has made figures for something that is Nitro+ related...to my disappointment.
