Volks Chair Stand Issues

    1. Hi all!
      I managed to find an old metal Volks stand (not the new ones with the heart saddles) secondhand, to use with a brand new stand chair I got from Volks US before those all sold out, but I'm worried I might need a new clip for the stand!
      Is it normal for the clip to not close all the way when the stand chair is in? It closes firmly on the normal saddle part, but when I swap that for the stand chair it doesn't seem to be able to lock, like the chair's bar is too thick, and the stand chair itself slides all the way down and rotates freely in the base. I don't see any cracks in the clip itself, and the stand looks like it's for SD, not MSD, so...I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
      Any ideas, DoA?

    2. The clip doesn't close all the way with mine either, but it gets pretty close. I think the chair is supposed to rotate and slide down all the way to the clip, and sits kind of like a bar stool or a hair salon chair. So your doll's legs should dangle off a little. I wouldn't suggest forcing it closed, but it shouldn't stick out either. In any case, you could try contacting Volks USA about a replacement? They're decently responsive about faulty products.
