Here is the gallery thread for showing off the cool stuff you got from your partners in the Visual Kei Swap! Remember, posting pictures of the stuff you received is a chance to show off all your partner's hard work and skills, so please try to post at least one photo! (But the more the merrier, of course )
here is what i got in one picture eru loves his outfit (sry two of the extra straps are not attached ^^")
thanks ^-^ and I love the outfit. Though I prefer Eru blackhaired...his current hairstyle is also blonde >3 btw the pillow is taken by my large boy *gg* he loves it and Eru said it's okay to lend it to him =P
I'm so glad , I've seen him both ways and he is great either way. Eru-chibi is kind to let your large boy use the pillow. I see it in the background.
thank you >/////< *blushes* Now I am kind of proud of little Eru-chibi it makes me so confident that I did a good job on him with the make up...the clothes you made for him makes him even better! it was there till i took a shot of my large boy *lol* eru was one of the first *gg*
I can't see that sparklie jacket belt, that was the pièce de résistance. Hope to see more of Eru chibi in his outfit.
Please note that completing one's part of a swap and getting confirmation from the swap partner that the items did arrive is ALL that is required to received good feedback for participating in a swap. Good feedback cannot be held hostage depending on the posting of photos!
Eru-chibi looks fantastic in the outfit. I hope to see more photos of him in the future, cuz he's so cute.
Noted and my post is amended, hobbywhelmed. Now that a second person has shipped, I can't wait to see what everyone else has created!
So, shiatar made Amethyn this amazing outfit! So pretty! You'll have to excuse the fact that she's not wearing shoes right now: Amethyn's boobs are huge, so it doesn't close perfectly in the back, but it is still really pretty. I love it! So sparkly! And I love the wire dragonfly charm for the choker!
Even though you say her boobs are busting out and causing problems, I think that neckline is incredibly flattering on Amethyn.
ah, So sorry about the bust fitting. I was a bit iffy about that part while drafting the pattern. So I decided to make it a lace up back rather than a button up like I originally planned. I was hoping the lace up would compensate for any differences . She looks lovely in it though. I had fun making the whole outfit, especially the little dragonfly choker. I'm surprised it arrived so fast, I thought it would take at least 3 or 4 weeks... My postal service surprises me sometimes.
The lace up works great, it's just the center back piece can't reach the eyelets near the top. Amethyn has a pair of magnetic pixie wings, they'll cover it anyway.
Better pictures are pending... I was just so amazed at how sublime the whole outfit was that I had to take pictures right away!! Jana Yvette has blown me away with the quality of her work. No shortcuts were taken in construction at all... everything is fully lined and the few edges that are shown have been neatly overlocked. The hem of the undermost layer has a rolled hem and the rest of the fluff is tulle. All of the swirly flower things are made of a translucent woven fabric and hand-sewn on... yup, all of them, headpiece and choker included. The inner dress has a convenient zipper and the outer corset skirt laces up in the back with delicate little eyelets. The hoop skirt is MASSIVE... so gloriously massive. Interestingly, when I saw Miyu-chan making a hoop skirt I thought, "I definitely want to make one for myself. It makes such a nicer shape than a traditional petticoat." And look at that! I now have a hoop skirt for Eve! The fabrics are delicate and fine and very tastefully selected for the dress, imo. Which outfit off my wishlist that Jana chose was a surprise... And as soon as I lifted of the layer of tissue paper I was blown away. Ohhhhhh hoop skirt! This explains the big box! The outfit consists of an inner dress, an outer corset/skirt, a choker, and a headpiece. (I was servicing two sewing machines during this time, excuse the mess.) Everything is lined! I've always been told that a beautiful inside is indicative of a highly skilled maker, and there is no doubt that Jana knows her stuff. From the outside, there is no apparent bulk, either. I cannot express how happy I am. She now looks as lovely as I've always wanted her to look.
omg so awesome - I forgot the jacket of my partners gift at my grandma's v.v hope to get it back soon. I hope my partner will like his outfit too! i love all of the stuf you made here and I'll also post some eru chibi piccs when the weather is better and i can go outside
That dress is just lovely. Cool hoops and see through skirt. Wow, the whole thing is amazing. Great job Jana!
Here is Remi's outfit. The arm bands were too big around because he is a scrawny brat and the band on the collar was too wide but here he is in the rest of it. vk swap outfit by steamwitch, on Flickr The gray and blue really bring out his eyes.
Ooh... Those pants look fantastic on him and the blue - especially of the decoration on the shoulder - really does match his eyes well.
I'm happy everything arrived safe and sound. Ah the neck piece was the one thing I used my doll as a reference as instead of making a pattern out of measurements. Looking at Remi now it makes me realize my Cylic has a really fat neck hahaXD I'm happy the pants are nice and tight like most Jrockers wear, I was so afraid of making them too tight. (Which I did on my test run)
Thanks Hydric, they fit really well. I am going to add more icing on the cake so to speak, I have some shiny buttons and bling to add, just to make the lovely brat really glitter.
It has been crazy around my house the past week or so and just now getting to take more photos and post here in the gallery. So to start with is the wonderful outfit that Aikohaku made for my Luts Lishe girl. I wish I had taken photos before I dressed her but was just to excited to get her dressed I guess. she has a lace petticoat with additional hip pads and the multi layer over skirt and the bodice that laces up the back. He really created a look that was from one of the photos I sent. I even found a wig in my stash that was very similar to the style in the sample picture he was working from.
Here is the outfit Miss Carrion made for my Minifee Merwin. It has a corset, short bloomers, leggings, open front tie on skirt and 4 hair accessories. The little ballet shoes I had matched the color of the leggings perfectly.
After some sickness induced delay, here is the gorgeous outfit which MaryFairy5 sent to Nyne (MNF Ryeon) and I! It's a gorgeous remake of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's outfit from Candy-Candy, and I adore it! IMAG0179 by Miss Carrion, on Flickr Mary sent us two over skirts and two underskirts, and this has to be my favourite over skirt - it's fabric which is wired around the edges of the petals, and it is gorgeous. The pink matches her hair almost perfectly! IMAG0186 by Miss Carrion, on Flickr This is the second over skirt, and it's so cute - it's plastic just like from the video! IMAG0185 by Miss Carrion, on Flickr Underskirt number one - it's so light and airy, I can see it looking really sweet under a bunch of Nyne's dresses and skirts. IMAG0183 by Miss Carrion, on Flickr Underskirt two! SO PUFFY! I love this - Nyne is currently rocking it with a Kirby hoody and turquoise leggings. IMAG0184 by Miss Carrion, on Flickr And the undershirt - this is so cute, and does up with domes down the back. I think this would look really awesome with a pair of jeans as well. IMAG0188 by Miss Carrion, on Flickr And some little cakes, very fitting for the theme of the song. Thank you so much Mary, we love the outfit!!
That pink in her hair is a great match. Just so you know the plastic petal skirt if you lay it over the puffy skirt it will lay really well and not bunch up the petals like it does on the softer less full skirt. I wish the wonderflex had worked out better for the plastic skirt I could not find just the right form to heat it over to get the shape I really wanted. That is why you ended up with two over skirts and I really did like the wired cloth flower skirt on better after it was done. Like Tim Gunn (project runway) would say "Make it Work" Glad everything fits and got to see it on your girl. Here's what the plastic over skirt looked like over the fuller petticoat. My Merwin was the model for the outfit. URL=http://s1217.photobucket.com/user/maryfairy5/media/Miss%20Carrion%20swap%20outfit/MissC7.jpg.html][/URL]
The lace you used on those underskirts is so nice... For my petticoat, I used some really cheap (aka: very stiff!) lace, thinking, "it's not like anyone is going to see it anyway." But seeing such lovely trims used for underthings tells me that I really need to step up my game next time!!
Confession time...... I have an obsession with the under garments for my dolls clothing and sometimes that is all my dolls get to wear. Petticoats, chemises, and corsets are a weakness for me. I have several just dressed in period underpinnings. I have a pretty large collection of laces and trims and it was fun to use some of it on the outfits I made for my swap partners. I used a vintage lace trim on the underdress I made for Shiatar's outfit. The one I used on Miss Carrions while not vintage was very fine soft embroidered tull.
Remi loved the outfit and wanted to make it his own style, so I added a few blingthings. They don't go with the original outfit but what do I know, it was Remi's idea. I don't know if it would be approved of but it made him happy. (Where do I get these strange ideas???) Remi in VK by steamwitch, on Flickr Thanks Hydric!
Finally I am posting the petticoat that is under the dress Aikohaku made for my girl. The petticoat was 3 pieces. The main layer with many layers of lace and then two hip pads that he created to hook on to the side of the petticoat to fill out the hips. Sorry I did not share this sooner I was so excited to get the whole outfit on my girl!
Today at my local doll meet, Kate took a lot of photos of her swap outfit and some of mine, too. But it'll take a little time for her to go through them, so here's a pic I snapped of our two together. I had to take off Eve's hoop skirt so she could stand closer to Rumiko for the picture.
Wow what a great photo and the outfits look wonderful! Both of your swap partners made amazing outfits for you! I like the dress without the hoop as much as with it.
OHMAN, those outfits look so amazing!! I'm so happy it looks great on Rumiko, it's so gorgeous!! She looks like she's about ready to pilot her ship into outer space
Hi. First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in posting pics of the Absolutely Gorgeous outfit maryfairy5 made for Juliette. I received the package last week just as I was heading off for a family vacation... then as Murphy's law would have it, both my kids came down with persistent fevers. Everything is good now. I planned for an outdoor shoot today but alas... thunderstorm, so all I have for the moment are low quality indoor pics. I will try to get better pics if the weather picks up. here they are... Isn't that jacket divine! Fully lined and I love those buttons. (shoes are mine) Thank you so much. Workmanship on this outfit is top notch!
Oh, and because I couldn't resist, I took another pic. The violin is mine... this outfit deserved some extra props. She will be wearing this for my next meet definitely
Great photos! That outfit is magic and looks so - Wow! Oh my gosh, I just realized I missed Remi's birthday. It was the 25th. He is 2 years old. His VK outfit was his birthday present, I knew it then but forgot in the meantime. Happy Birthday my sweet Remi.
sorry guys that took long buuut i have new piccs, with the sparkly belt on the jacket ^^v Eru-kun got a new face up too!
I am LOVING these photos! It makes me that much more excited for the outfit for my girl All of the outfits look so so amazing!
I'll have to get a few more when I'm able (it really sucks working graveyard shift - NO GOOD LIGHTING) but here's a sitting down picture of Ruari in her outfit. I really love love LOVE how this came out -- everything fits PERFECTLY and it just looks SO GOOD ON HER. Thank you so much Aiko!!!
I'm so glad to see that it fits! I tried to reach a compromise between the curves of her body and the masculine silhouette of the original. Also, I finally worked out how to include ease into a pattern!! It was definitely an interesting project and I learned a lot in the process. I'm so happy that everything worked out I took a billion progress pics and then trying it on all my girl bodies it would fit after it was done. The sister jacket (I made two of them, each in different fabrics) wasn't fully finished, but its still lovely on the doll I gave it to. I look forward to seeing more of your girl!!
