I suspected that clothes would be difficult to find. Tinies tend to be hard to fit because they are so small and differences can really be a big deal... I mean--that can happen with larger dolls, too, but the shapes of tinies also tend to vary a lot... so they are hard to fit over-all.

 

It's so true! She doesn't FEEL as small as she is, but trying on all those clothes really put into perspective how short her little legs are. At least Villitunes sells clothes for them! Maybe now that they're getting more popular other sewists will start too.

Yeah, that's what I was guessing, too. Was just hoping someone may have known a definite wig size Thank you, though! I ended up buying a 7-8 wig, so hopefully it fits well!!

I saw someone posting their Lamoon on FB and asked what size wig she takes. They confirmed it's a 7-8 wig but said they use a silicone cap to help keep it on. So that's really good to know!

 

Mizuki is precious! I want her but then I feel she would need a matching Odysseus, which I don't think I'll be able to find a kawaii, pastel colored version of. Maybe if Villi re releases Gloriana that would work - "Ody and the Baby Cyclops" part 4 of the epic cycle.

Mimichu has such chubby cheeks. Too bad they're bad of resin.

I bought a grey Mizuki second-hand a while ago, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made! Here they are with their original owner's faceup (they're now waiting for a new faceup!) and hair helping me knit a blanket:



Now that the preorders for Mizuki and Loppi-Moon are coming up next week, I'm really, really torn...my Mizuki needs some friends, but I'm not sure who! I loooove the new green tea color on Villitune's site, but was originally thinking of getting a yellow or pink color.

up, my Mizuki is grey! Villitunes' grey is rather cool toned, so it can easily look more blue or green.

Loppi-Moon is coming out this time, too - that would be the perfect friend for any cyclops.

 

Anyone else get in on the new pre-order? I admit I caved and got a blumt Loppi-Moon... Sunny Beeps needs a friend after all

Aw...Cyclops Loppi-Moon are so adorable. I'm a little sad about missing the preorders but atleast it'll give me a chance to save up and see owner pictures before commiting to my own someday.

Thank you It makes me sad the Wikia isn't updated more often. It does have a bit of a learning curve.... Have you Mods thought having some sort of "reward" to get people to edit it? Maybe something like an "Editor Rank" displayed on Users' profiles or under their tags?

I was actually curious if anyone had tried specifically some Pukifee or maybe middie Blythe clothes on their Mizuki maybe? And the other one about how to pose her cause i've been struggling with it so bad to the point she can't even sit without falling on her face and i almost gave up on her standing, so I was curious if anyone had similar issues?

 

I haven't tried any other clothes on my Mizuki.

Yeah... with that big head, she's not going to be easy to pose standing up!

I was able to stand mine up right out of the box (here's box opening photo), BUT I will usually just prop her up against something because I'm lazy about trying to pose dolls!

 

@BubbleDae she is very top heavy so I usually let her lean on stuff. But other than that I find her to be a really good poser, especially considering she's single jointed. As far as standing goes, make sure the ball joints in her thighs are aligned right, I find that makes a huge difference. Even so - she's got that big head so I don't expect her to stand unaided for long periods of time

As far as clothes go I can confirm that regular blythe clothes are too small so I would imagine middie blythe would be even less workable? I haven't tried Pukifee though. Maybe very stretchy tops?

 

I'm planning on pre-ordering a Mizuki tomorrow, but I'm so torn about the faceup! Villi's are so cute, but I also like the idea of a shimmery custom faceup. I know so much is down to personal preference, but I'm brand new to the hobby and having trouble making a decision! D:

 

If it helps, the faceup you get will look just like the ones in Villi's pics (aside from the normal minor variations you'd expect). Possibly you could ask her to just add some extra sparkle to it? If you aren't too picky she might not mind.

For the clothes i said middie Blythe cause judging by the measurements I found online Blythe clothes seemed to be too big but i was wrong so that's really good to know.
Villitunes clothes are really cute and well made and i really want to buy some of them, just right now the shipping cost is a bit too high for me so I was looking for some alternatives, but in the end I think i'll just have to save up

I loveee to get a mimichu but i guess i miss the pre-order. =.="

So i am thinking which villitunes i should get (since the pre-order is open now and no one seems to sell 2nd hand), can anyone please tell me the difference between cyclops mizuki and cyclops loppi moon? I can't seems to see the difference between the two of them on the website.
And does anyone know how long is the processing time?

There will probably be another preorder for Mimichu next year! She's very good about holding them fairly regularly.

Loppi-Moon has a slightly chubbier face, a less pronounced smile, two small horns on their forehead instead of a magnet horn, and bunny ears instead of pointed ears. They also have little paws (Mizuki has three-fingered hands)

For my Mizuki I waited almost 11 months, but it looks like the Mimichus from the March preorder are almost ready to ship now. So it depends a bit on her workload I think. Usually she has the shipping schedule on her website but it looks like those images are down atm. Probably Mizuki and Loppi-Moon will be ready in late winter or early spring? That would be my guess!

And does mimichu mouse use 1/4 or 1/6 wig? or does she need a special wig?

 

I got faceups for my Mizuki and Loppi-Moon but I got Mimichu blank because I want to play with her look more

At least four people on IG have gotten their Mimi-chu (with a face-up)!
I still have yet to pick a name for my yellow one.

 

My two friends who ordered at the same time I did got theirs! Mine is still stuck in customs limbo

I can report their findings on receiving her at least: she can wear a loose Barbie top and skirt as long as it's high on her waist. Yo-SD tops and dresses are slightly oversized but bottoms are too small. The MSD bottoms they had are slightly big but fit okay (aside from length).

They said that she actually wears a 6-7 wig instead of a 7-8 like we thought!

We think Blythe shoes might fit based on measurements as long as they're wide enough.

As soon as my (also still unnamed) girl gets here I'm having a try on party!

 

Here's my little Ui in a Dumbo hoodie I got from Japan which fits her perfectly with Mermaid Lagoon in Tokyo DisneySea that I went a month ago

She's so cute, I'm absolutely smitten with her!

For reference - she's wearing 14mm Dolled Up Workshop eyes, a 6-7 Monique wig, a Barbie top (borrowed from Sunny Beeps), a Blythe skirt (which had to go over her head without her faceplate on) and Yo-SD tights (from Soom, specifically). Stretchy yo-sized bottoms will fit as long as they can get over her hips! I also tried a Blythe top and it nearly fit, aside from being too long/too small at the waist. Possibly short Blythe tops and empire waisted dresses would be okay.

She's just perfect, I'm so happy I bought this wig for her at the last moment. I can't wait to get her painted

Thank you so much! I'm really enjoying her, honestly I'm super impressed with how well these little dolls pose, considering they're single jointed and top heavy.

Her resin is very smooth and pleasant to the touch (Sunny Beeps/my Mizuki came with a faceup and blushing so she's coated), and once you get her thighs aligned properly she stands solidly. My only issue is that I haven't quite mastered getting her to sit nicely. I'm not giving up yet, though. There might be a trick I haven't figured out yet, or a little sueding might solve the issue.

I'm totally enamored with Villi's dolls. I'm almost 100% set on getting Minami as well when preorders open for her

 

I've seen this lovely girl on Instagram! She is so cute, love the way you're styling her. I'd been planning on getting a LaMoon in the next preorder, but your Mimichu specifically is giving me some fomo. ha ha. I'll have to get one myself, eventually.

 

Aw jeez thank you so much!! I want a Lamoon too, I really love her third eye. I'm sure you can get a Mimichu eventually, Villitunes has been really good about holding regular preorders for her. It makes me really happy to see more and more people getting into her dolls!

I finally added an avatar, which made me realize there's more pictures of my Villitunes dolls I've never shared! This one's my Chocote, also bought second hand. I made the socks and sweater, but at this point I hadn't washed anything yet, so the hem looks a little wonky.



My blueberry Mimichu finally came, but I still need to do a faceup for her, my Lamoon, and my Mizuki. It's so much nicer to just curl up in a ball and knit or crochet in this cold weather.

I can't wait for Minami's order, though! I'm probably going to get sweet cherry.

 

When was your Mimi-chu shipped and when did it arrive?
I'm a bit concerned about mine because it was shipped Dec 1 but USPS doesn't have it yet... EMS shipping is suppose to take only a few days compared to methods like Air Mail.

 

Mine went November 17-26 from Russia to USA.

But I wouldn't worry too much! It's the holiday season now, I have another package that is EMS from China, and it hasn't been scanned since 11/29. That doesn't necessarily mean it isn't moving, just that it hasn't been scanned at another facility that does scanning yet.

I ordered my Kitty Cat Minami today! It's a little hard to believe that she won't ship until almost 8-10 months later, though.

And the resin cat shoes she made... they're a little overpriced to me, but they're so unique I had to add a pair in, too.

She's been calling Minami MSD sized, but technically since she's around 33cm, she still fits within this category too, right?

 

Yes Minami is still a tiny I *think* Villi is trying to say that Minami can fit some MSD clothes/wigs.
