Granado is my go-to company for my primary male doll. As a Granado Michael/Impldoll Idolman FGB hybrid, for a while he was the oldest of my dolls still in their original shell. Golden Shadow 01 by Yela Gatchalian-David, on Flickr But, as some Granado heads go, they're petite for their size. Make no mistake, I love, love Michael as Guórén's doll shell. But his unconventional size was making it difficult to work the rest of the collection around, and I did want him to be taller. When Granado released Noah, whose head circumference was closer to the "standard" sizing, I was ecstatic. Maybe I could plunk his head on the preexisting Impldoll body because their measurements are similar! (On paper.) Oh the Pain ANNOTATED by Yela Gatchalian-David, on Flickr Erm, obviously the Doll Hybriding Gods were not on my side this time. Not even having the head airbrushed to match the body's color helped, and I ended up having to order the 75Adagio anyway. But in the meantime, some awkward photoshoots ensued. Glad the hybridization finally worked out for you! Reshelling sounds like such a stressful process, but I bet it's all been worth it in the end to get the results you desired.
I think he looks gorgeous! As for Granado head sizes with my limited knowledge of them, I can't see any problems. But admittedly I do prefer realistic proportions rather than the more popular dolly/oversized head/anime styled ones. Your end result here is absolutely beautiful.
