I'm going to start making a head for my dollfie dream, and I came up with a sketch of how I sort of want it to look... ...And with an example wearing a wig: I don't know about the face...There's something about the lips that I don't like. Also, maybe the head looks too round? Anyhoo, what do you all think? Also, here's a symetrical comparison of the right and left sides...It's amazing how much a face changes when it's symetrical!
Ooooh, I like it. If it were mine, I might have put the eyes up a little higher, but honestly, I am sure that whatever you turn out, will probably be really great anyways, judging by your previous works :]
Personally, I think she needs some more space in her face. The upper lip is a bit close to her nose, and the eyes a bit low down as well. I think the back of the nose needs to be longer... She's really pretty, though. I love those eyes. And the jawline in the second picture is really beautiful.
Yeah, you're right! All the features are sort of scrunched together...Whew, I'm sure glad I waited to get started! I'll tweak a few things and post more pics later..
I finished this a while ago, but never had any clothes for her, or proper eyes or wig. I finally got a fine goth lolita type dress and thought she looks nice enough to show, so here she is! I named her Veruca. Let me know what you all think!
S-she's FANTASTIC!! *is awestruck* The face is so smooth and she matches the DD body perfectly! Is she cast in resin, or is she painted clay, or...? Are you considering selling copies? I know, it's an annoying question, and you must hate me for asking, but... I had to ask anyway!! X3
Excellent job! Reminds me of the Hypermaniac dolls. I like your concept sketches for a DD head. The bottom drawing is my favorite- more rounded and less pointy. Cool beans
Thanks everybody for the encouraging words! I sculpted her out of super sculpey, and reinforced the head with a layer of magic sculpt on the inside. She's airbrushed. I will probably eventually make a mold and try casting it in resin. I'd like to change a few things about her features.
