This might be a long shot but has anyone an idea where I can get a car and/or a motorcycle(scooter) for 1/3/75cm bjd's ? Would children toys work? for example a car or motorcycle for toddlers? Are there doll brands that make these kind of things for 1/3/75 cm bjd's? Thanks in advance.
RC cars can go up to 1/3 and I'm sure there's a motorcycle version. However that's going to be very expensive due to the fact they are movable and to scale. Unlike most toddler and my generation stuff that can be a bit out of wack because they're for big clunky hands. So they'd be big enough to sit on, however may not look right with a more realistic body/adult body.\ Edit: Found this: Indian Chief - Scale 1/3 RC - Big Scale Cars Like I said, super expensive.
As far as classic models go, you'd be hard pressed to find anything that scale. The largest you can get is probably 1/8 (probably a handful of models). Cars and motorcycles are usually unusable scales for BJDs like 1/24 and the most sensible doll size for them would be 1/12. Time and effort required to build these models aside, they are also very very fragile - in the "cannot touch" kind of way so it wouldn't be difficult to damage them by just trying to sit a resin doll on top of them. Imai made a 1/4 Honda Monkey but it's long gone. This stuff is very rare because of the size.
If you don't mind that it's not super realistic, I've seen big motorcycles (1/6 more often and smaller even more) being sold as home decorations sometimes in the past few years (I've got one in 1/4 scale for my dolls). I guess it's mostly a lucky find, but could be worth to take a look at your local decoration stores just in case.
Hi, I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a super kit of a 1/3 Vespa at a cheaper price during the Corona period. Purchased through magazine provider DeAgostini. Unfortunately currently only a 1/4 Yamaha YZR-M1 "Valentino Rossi Motorcycle" on offer. Here is one of my published pictures: Agent 99 For these motorcycles you should have experience with kits. Then there's the issue - our SD BJDs are given as 1/3 but are actually 1/2.75 when converted. Because if we take your figure of 75 cm, that would make him 2.25m tall. He's probably rarer. And 75 cm times 2.75 is also 2.07m. Nice guys ;-) Cars for toddlers are possible if you find the right ones. Here is a BJD lover with his lucky find: Car The dimensions harmonize quite well. But my tip - if you have "mobile" dreams for your BJDs in this direction. The market for MSD 1/4 or even better 1/6 is bigger and cheaper for your bank account. Nevertheless - I wish you good luck in your search!
Thank you very much! A lucky find but also a bit sensitive. Functioning Bowden cables, sound generator and light and this fantastic classic shape I hope there will be another one of this kind soon. Oh yes - forgot 5.5 kg weight!
this company makes custom cars in 1/4th scale too! But the ones that have doors that open will set you back at least 23.5 thousand American dollars. And I mean…it’s cheaper than buying an actual sports car….
Hello, I offer to my daughter a motorcycle several years ago. The photo was taken without any presentation, so you can see, because everything was tidy. You will find it at : Caradisiac.com under the name : New Bright V-Rod. I hope this helps your research. this boy is 60 cm bjd size
I remember some hobbyists recommending shopping second hand for remote control motorcycles that didn't work anymore. Some are rather detailed so people still sell them for others to use as home decor and they do tend to sell quickly, but they will be much less than a functional one if you can find one. I will agree with the poster pointing out that a 1:3 scale motorbike will fit a doll around 60 cm tall (that would represent a person 180cm tall). For a doll 75 cm tall you need a different scale.
Many years ago I remember a DoA member posting pics of their Volks SD17 size dolls in a children’s size luxury car (like this one: https://toysforkids.com.au/kids-toy...MIzee2rYWViwMVZou5BR1XQy2PEAQYCCABEgIiRvD_BwE ). From memory, the scale was pretty good
OMG! That motorcycle is super cool! I dream of Yamaha R6 for my 65 cm boy. And I guess I can dream on. Not mentioning I should be a billionaire to afford something like jet fighter for 70+ guy (dreaming of shelling Rei Fukai).
