UV Resistant Resin Additives

Jun 6, 2015

    1. I was wondering if anyone has any information or experience with UV resistant additives for resin. Do these additives make a significant difference to the longevity of the resin color, and do they at all alter the color of the resin?

I know of Smooth-On's Sun Devil additive, and Polytek's UV additive, but I am curious what others are out there and how they compare!

Additionally, has anyone ever added something like zinc to their resin to help protect the color?

If anyone has any experience with these, I would love to hear it! :kissy :<3

    2. while I have zero experience actually using them, from watching companies it seems that actually UV resistant resin is almost impossible to make, and when there are good results it usually requires tons of resources. Not that I'm saying those additives don't work, but an UV spray coat might be more effective.

    3. Some experts do not help is not. but My experience uv is useful to normal color.I added the uv always to all color.
If you use too much of amount, to cause curing failure. I also want to hear the opinions of many experts.
