I'm going to put this under "Shipping", but it might go under "Customs". I don't really know (and I suppose that's why I'm posting this). And if there's a thread like this already, apologies. I didn't find it. So I've ordered from Dollmore, and my order has shipped via EMS (or EMI, if you prefer), and it arrived at ISC New York on January 14. I'm not particularly worried about it since it's only been one business day since, but I'm curious. So my question(s): What exactly is ISC? Is this past customs or is this customs? I've read a little on it, but haven't really found a clear answer. And another question: Would it be unusual if my package was delivered on Tuesday and the tracking website hadn't updated from ISC? Thanks for any and all input you have on the mystery that is ISC.
ISC is the International Sorting Center. IF my memory serves me, it's before customs. because as far as I remember, my stuff goes through ISC (I guess it gets off the plane, and figured out where it needs to go) and then gets run through customs (can take less than a day to a few, so I definitely wouldn't worry after only one deliverable day). She'll probably be there..monday is there's mail (I can't remember if they deliver on MLK JR day or not), or tuesday. Tracking doesn't usually update on the weekends, unless it's delivered. And the USPS is NOTORIOUS for not scanning things or updating, even though it's EMS. A lot of times, mine won't update and show the progress until AFTER it's delivered (at which point, I don't need to know).
Thanks, ZombChan. I was really wondering what ISC stood for. You made me feel better about the tracking updating (I check obsessively). There isn't any mail tomorrow unfortunately, especially 'cause I have the day off, but I'll hope for Tuesday or Wednesday. Thanks again!
I just want to point out to you some bad news. After your parcel hits ISC, it may not get tracked anymore. I have had this with a few items. Tracking was fine till it was stuck in ISC then the tracking was never updated till the items were in my hands Drives me crazy!
Once it gets inbound into ISC( international sorting center) it will stay there for awhile and then will show outbound ISC. sometimes it shows inbound then outbound then inbound again though I dont know why but it will eventually show outbound and then it will on its way to your post office for delivery to you... sometimes I hear it doesnt update but I have not had this experience it always shows inbound then outbound before it gets to me on my tracking.. and then out for del when my mail carrier has it.
Thanks for the input, guys. Just for reference, I ended up getting my doll on Tuesday, two business days after it arrived at ISC.
