Sculpting Using Nomad Sculpt

Jul 8, 2025

    1. I'm using Nomad Sculpt on my IPad and It's going fairly okay.

But how do I know how big something is after I sculpt it, and in time print it?

    2. I haven’t printed yet but it is my understanding Nomad uses “units” for measuring. Varying sources say that 1 unit = 1mm roughly. It is also my understanding that when you import your project into the slicing software, that you can tackle sizing there. Hopefully someone else might have more info as I haven’t yet gotten to the slicing part!

    3. I use chitubox to get things ready for printing and it will show you the size of everything in millimeters, then you can easily scale things up or down if you need.

    4. I used MeshMixer (another free software) to create some standard sized things to compare to as I go, then just import them as needed. A cylinder that's 44cm tall to measure overall height against and some 5mm cylinders for magnets I've already got on hand are what I use the most.
