Using nail polish remover...yay or nay?

May 18, 2005

    1. I am curious about if people use nail varnish remover on their dolls and if it has been a good experience or not? (particularly on the Serendipity dolls, if anyone has done this yet.)

    2. Some brands work, some don't, some just smudge the paint and makes your doll dirty.

Most people swear by acetone, but you might be even better to use Windsor and Newton Brush Cleaner.

    3. Thanks :) I think tobe on the safe side I'll just not do the nail varnish remover idea.

    4. I was using nail polish to remove Gabriel's faceup, and I accedentally dumped some on myself and it took the color right out of my skirt... and melted it onto my leg...

    5. Crazy me, you've just given me some great ideas for color play on fabric :)

    6. I will have to say NO for nail polish remover, Try getting 100% acetone. Strong and clean.

    7. I've ben using nail polish remover all along XD (100% acetone is a little too scary for me) Then again, I don't use acrylics/ Mr Color either, and those will probably need a stronger removal liquid.
