Customs US Residents: What are you paying FedEx tariff wise?

May 27, 2025

    1. I have been asking around for this information. I have gotten no answers. Surely SOMEONE has gotten a FedEx package! I am asking SPECIFICALLY FOR FEDEX, because they are one of the stricter companies to charge tariffs/customs/duties (I don't care what these charges are called).
      1. I am only looking for information from those who have received a doll package from FedEx in the month of May.
      2. I am not wanting a link to the current tariff percentages.
      3. If you don't know, don't answer/reply.
What I specifically need to know is:
Did FedEx charge you the $100 flat fee or the percentage? If so, what percentage?

Again, no links to other information. I want to know your personal experience.

      • I know that some shipping lines manage to incur no charges. My dolls were not shipped with these methods! They were shipped FedEx when I told the shipper not to, UGH.
      • They are shipped via sea route first from China via EWS, and then will be handed over to FedEx (if that makes a difference).

Why am I asking all this?
I need to know how much I need to save in order to pay these tariffs. This is very important!

      P.S. I don't need a lecture on my finances.

      Thanks for reading :D

If I sound unhinged, it's because I am.

    2. My only experience to date has been with UPS. They charged an additional 10% of the value of the item shipped from Spain to the US before it would be delivered, It was an expensive item and this was quite unexpected,

    3. @Anshishoku, Folks are only now starting to see packages with tariffs attached so there may be few folks who can answer your questions specificly about Fed Ex shipments at this time. And yesterday, the courts moved to block most of the on-again-off-again tariffs imposed by the current administration. Whether they will actually be practically implemented is once again in flux.

There is also a lengthy thread in GD here where people are discussing the impacts of tariffs on their doll and dolly stuff orders.

We're trying to keep all the tariff dicussions in one place and frankly the Mod team finds the tone of your original post hostile and in violation of DOA rule #1
      .

We are locking this thread for that reason.
