UPS is confusing me

    1. We ordered a Hid from Junkyspot and he was supposed to be delivered today. But instead they marked the progress form with 'destination scan' twice. What does that mean? That they can't find my address? Now he is going to be delivered on the next possiable day, which is Monday.

    2. either they can't find the address or the guy left it on his truck. (either way i'd call them with your tracking number and double check.)
       
    3. Well, we called the US help number....and uh, they said that the package is 'out for delivery'. Today is Saturday. UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday. So we are either going to call a store and talk to a real person or visit the main center, later today...

    4. that's a good idea and yeah they don't deliver on sat unless you pay extra (like way way extra) i'd try to call the main center, a tiny ups store won't be able to do much since they are just drop of pick up places.
       

    5. You can tell them to contact the driver and arrange to hold the package at their distribution center for pickup. They'll tell you that they can't contact the driver, but they really can, they just don't want to.
       
    6. "Destination Scan" just means that it has reached your local UPS hub, which appears to be in Knoxville. It will be scanned several times at the hub, which explains why you see multiple Destination Scans.
       
    7. Well, that's three different answers. We're off to the main site.

      @Krissy: Today is Saturday, and UPS does not deliver on Saturday. Therefore, package cannot be in delivery. I think something is wrong with their communication.

      @greeniebone: I've never seen this before on any of my items. It worries me because it should have been at my house yesterday. With the package being in Knoxville for two days, I don't see why this isn't possible. Unless something/someone has messed up somehow.

      It's different when a package is delayed. It says why it is delayed. This time, there is no explanation.
       
    8. Definately call the UPS number listed on the site, and you should get directed to your area hub. You can check in on what's up, and if you have a way to get to the hub, this sounds like a good time to ask them to hold it. In my experience, it usually won't be there until late, like at 20-21:00, though it may be different on saturday. Sounds like they may be trying to reach the wrong house.
       
    9. We went up there, (right down the street) and it's closed on Saturdays.

      I called the contact UPS customer service number. It's 1.800.742.5877
      When we called that number we talked to a robotic voice and we gave her the tracking number and she said that it was out for a delivery. But as we all know, it's Saturday here...and UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday. I'm going to try and hunt on the website somemore. Their phone number isn't in the phone book. Only the 'The Ups Store' is in there.

      Thanks guys for your help. Sorry if I sound annoyed. I'm a bit frazzled. O_O
       
    10. UPDATE:

      UPS has yet to update their tracking information. I have yet to recieve our doll. If Hid is not here before 5 (a few hours away); we are heading down to the UPS office again.

      I called them today and they said that he was to be delivered today. I told her that it just says destination scan, she said he will be their today. I said, he's not 'out for a delivery'; he will be there today was once again her answer. I don't like UPS. D:
       
    11. The day my doll was out for delivery from UPS (the third attempt since I wasn't home) the website was not updated with any out for delivery information. So it may be out for delivery even though the website doesn't say so. UPS can contact the driver and find out from them exactly where they are and when they should be at your house.

      Don't worry about being frazzled. My husband and I actually hunted down the UPS driver for my doll.
