Im patiently awaiting the arival of mine - but when I do get him, I want to take him apart, sand out his seams and give him a body blush... question is - puting him back together. Anybody know if it is the same as Volks SD? As in - http://rapture.sephdraven.com/misc/unstrung.html ? If so I can definitly do that, but Im kind of scared to go into uncharted territory with an expensive doll. @_@
He will be similar enough to most other BJD's... when you take him apart, make sure you keep the left side parts, and right side parts separately so they don't get mixed up. Also keep an eye on how he comes apart, so you can put him together again the same way. On the Eluts.com Notice board there is a unstring/restring tutorial featuring CP Chiwoo, which is pretty similar in construction to Lovelyhouse boys. - Therese
LH leaves you a LOT of extra string in the head to adjust tension so you can partially desrting him. Well you can loosen the string enough to have all the body parts seperated to see how they are put back together. Hope that helps.
For my LH, they had basically already sanded him, except it waqs poorly done and they sanded so deep it made a sort of dent running down his legs. So i had to sand that to even it out a bit, and his finger nails were sorta pointy so i sanded that too.. aswell as any seams they missed. In mine (I dunno if they changed it now..) the string in the arms was really weird, i had to replace it. It was only one piece of elastic clasped between some metal wire connecting the arms. It wasn't doubled over or anything. so you would have to loosen the wire around it to take it off. (that is if you take the arms off) Otherwise, the body is pretty similar to other dolls. Just remember which pieces go where. Hope that helps!
