Unsatisfactory Transaction with Jisatsu - RESOLVED

May 6, 2008

    1. All right I'm not looking for any form of retribution or anything for this I would just for this to be recorded so that other members may see this and take it into consideration when doing work with this artist.

April 16, 2008 - I first contact Jisatsu on this day as I had attempted doing a face-up on my boy myself and was displeased with the results. She was offering free face-ups (only pay shipping both ways) so I took up the chance. Her feedback looked good and she was really nice through communication. She had a lot of free time as well so I was told turnaround time would not be long at all.

April 17, 2008 - I send the head via Priority mail along with images of what I would like his face-up to look like. Specifically this image:

Please note the way his eyebrows are.

April 19, 2008 - Jisatsu sends me a PM informing me that Okisa's head has arrived. We talk through AIM a bit before this day and on this day she contacted me as well but my computer froze up on me so I was unable to respond.

April 21, 2008 - I'm informed that he's to the point where his lips are being glossed. Was given a preview image before hand that was a little blurry so couldn't see all the details but it looked all right so I gave her the go ahead.

April 23, 2008 - He's completed and I'm given the final preview image:

The eyebrow on the right looks a little high to me but I say nothing as I thought it was just the angle the photo was taken at that was making it look far too high and if when he arrives I don't like it I had planned to just brush his hair over it. Even though in the photographs I showed her both of the eyebrows were relaxed, at this point I just wanted to see him in person.

I was also told he was already packed and ready to go at this point so no point in making her unpack him and do it again. I thought if I did their might be trouble.

April 26, 2008 - I send her a PM reminding her that I would like him to be shipped back to me the same way I sent him.

May 2, 2008 - At this point I sent her a PM asking her why he hasn't been shipped yet as I was told he would be shipped during that week. At this point its Friday which means there's only 2 days left in the promised week. I tell her if I have no working tracking number by this day then I will have no choice but to leave her negative feedback. A while later I receive a PM with a working tracking number.

May 6, 2008 - I collect the mail and there is Okisa's head waiting. He is packed pristinely and I am so excited to get him open I hack at the tape and bubble wrap with an exacto knife. Only to roll him out and feel my heart sink into my stomach.

His head feels grainy and unfinished. His eyebrow looks even more arched than it did in the preview. His lips are unbalanced. His eyebrows are so jagged it looks they were done improperly. He still has hints of his old face-up under the new one that are very obvious. The pink and black 'eyeshadow' is so faint that it looks like stains. And upon closer inspection I see there are in fact smudge stains under the eyes and near the lips. I honestly cry at this point. For I waited so long to see him only to be given this. I put on his wig and the high arched brow actually smudges from an accidental brush of the pad of my thumb. I did not use any force at all and it smudged over the eye. There are black specks near the eyes as if dust fell upon him and the MSC was sprayed on without care. He even has a strong smell of the sealing product that he did not have before he was sent away.

I wish the pictures were better but the camera does not have anti-shake and I have shaky hands. But if you look close you can see the smudging on the eyebrow. On the contour of the nose there is also the brownish peach from the default face-up Souldoll sent him with. I had difficulty removing it when I took it off but she had to clean off my face-up so she would have seen this coloration still here.

Take note of how shiny he looks in images. In person these areas with shine look like specks on his face. The texture of his face is now grainy and when you look at him in sunlight it looks like a window that someone has rubbed oily hands against. I have no better way to describe it.

Here you can faintly see the smudged brow.

And here you can see how the lips are unbalanced with one side having more color than the other. You can also see how the lower lids color seems to be done in flecks. It really does appear that way in person as if it were coming off. It also has smudges underneath that you can't really make out in pictures.

A few close ups so people can see the discoloration and the unbalanced coloring.

After this I've decided I rather just practice face-ups myself or send them to someone local that I can speak to in person so as to avoid being left unsatisfied.

    2. I am very sorry for this... I am a little upset that you are taking this so hard. I did all I could and as for the eyebrows... I am sorry about that. It is VERY difficult to do eyebrows and you knew, as I was giving them free and as stated, that I was just starting out doing them for other people. You never told me that you would do negative feedback if I did not send the tracking number that day. I apologuised for the delay and told you the situation and you were fine. To bring words together and try to make it seem like I did this on purpose to hurt you is very wrong. I am sorry you are not satisfied at all... I thought he was beautiful and when I sent the pictures you agreed.
Please do not play with words to make me sound so horrid.
