Unoss

Well, U-noss are around the size of SD and U-noa are the size of MSD.

Unoss have the sculpted eyelashes and eyebrows that a lot of people aren't too fond of. But you can always sand them away. They also have a one piece torso while Unoa have a two piece torso which allows more movement. Their default is the flat chest but you can get your unoa a larger bust piece if you want.

Unoa have lightly sculpted eyebrows, but no sculpted eyelashes. Also unlike Seina and Aika U-noss, Unoa Lusis and Sist have different facemolds.

Lusis is a Unoa, one of the smaller dolls made by Gentaro Araki - Unoss (Sienna and Aika) are larger, like SD.

That's what attracted me to her was her pigeon toe. I'm getting me a Frankenstein Unoss, I got the body from hear in the state's and the head from the UK. The body came in a Seina U-noss box. I got both head and body for about $600.00.Once I get the head I will post some pictures.

I was wondering are there a lot of Unoss owners on the board and could you share some beautifull picturs of your girl?
I have seen some pictures of Unoss I also have the book..some make up make her gorgeous and some make up make her not as gorgeous..

I was also wondering iff there are owners who haven't erased the sculpt lashes and eyebrows and have pictures of that too?

I have 2 and both had their faceups done.

 

My Unoss Aika, Emma is my favorite of my dolls. I have only sanded off her lower lashes. I am always changing her wigs around and sometimes her eyes.

i remember even-star painted a unoss and she was forsale on ebay. her molded on lashes looked amazing! i really want to see those pictures again, (evenstar's website only has a thumbnail sized picture of her last time i checked)

did someone on doa buy her? if so, any owner pictures? i'd also love to see those original auction photos again if anyone has them saved on their computer.

 

I would love to see people's Unoss's, preferably the whole face showing without a wig hiding the details.

Don't worry! I'm not out to steal your faceups! XD I'm just finding it hard to get my girls right faceup, I've done one eyebrow and although it's quite a good eyebrow (it actually LOOKS like an eyebrow and not a smudge of pastel & paint!) it's not really her style.

So please show me your girls! I need inspiration!

Hahahahaha..I got some old pictures of Unoss ^^..here ye go:

I did the face-ups for the first 2 unosses the last Unoss face-up was done by a japanese seller.

 

My Emma has her original face mold and make up, though I sanded the lower lashes and enhanced the paint. The eyebrows are raised, so the paint keeps rubbing off. Here she is (her eyes and hair are different now, will have newer photos later):

 

I don't take or post nearly enough pics of Imogen, but I remember when I painted her I struggled a lot with getting the eyebrows in a good position and a decent shape. My Unoss doesn't have the moulded lashes or eyebrows anymore, that's how she came to me, but I would have liked to work with a unmodified Unoss as well.

Wow, gorgeous, I'd do the lips more liney though (aha! technical term ahoy!). I want my girl to have natural light peachy lips!

And yes, the eyebrows are hard, my girl hasn't got her molded eyebrows or eyelashes either, I'm not sure if that makes it harder since with them you'd have to paint over them but without them you can choose your shape, I'll probably do my girls face starting with the eyes and do the eyebrows last XD

 

Imogen has liplines, they just didn't come out in the photo, but the colour is way to orange... not what I really intended. I used Araki's illustrations as inspiration for the placement and shape of the brows, and loads of trial and error. I've been planning for the longest time to redo her, but can leave her as is for now till I have the time and inclination to do it.

 

I didn't see your girls photo till now (didn't upload or something?) she's absolutely perfect! Her eyebrows are wonderful! Ahh I love Unosses I'm going to keep mine forever XD

 

Also, besides bumping this thread to see if there are anymore gorgeous Unosses I can be inspired by, I want to know.

What size Wig does Unoss take? I have some DoT wigs and they fit but only if I use velcro.

I'm guessing they are the right size though? So if I wanted to buy her a wig from Leekeworld I'd buy the MSD sized ones right?

I'm interested in seeing pictures of the larger Unoss dolls - particularly a set that was made that was an angel and devil? Don't know much about them at all and just wanting to research a bit. Thanks!

I think you mean that you want pictures of the Unoss who are larger than Unoa their names were Aika (demon) and Seina (robot), these were the only two types ever made. They're getting difficult to find photos and information on, but I know a few people on DoA own them and will probably post soon.

 

Okay, yeah, like Usagi said, Aika and Seina. And yeah, they are pretty rare. ^^ But bump anyway because I'm interested in seeing some pictures as well!

There's two type of Unoss : cybord Sienna and demon Aika but the headmold is the same, only the clothes and options part change. As they were discontinued on october 2004 it's hard to tell how many have been produced. There's several on this forum

I've an unoss ( a modified one) and managed to find the unoss Aika outfit (I'm missing the horns, the wig and the eyes). If you type Unoss Aika or Unoss Sienna on the search engine you will find photos.

Her name is written 'Seina' on the box, btw, I believe 'Sienna' is just the commonly accepted misspelling..(if someone can show me where Volks or Gentaro Araki actually spells it that way, I'll rethink this).

The U-Noss are not expensive, they are usually somewhere around $1000, they are just not commonly sold. Just have to watch the market for a couple weeks/months

 

I am relly interested in see Unoss head in a Boy body (don't mind what brand =_3)

Im really in love with the Unoss body sculpt. And Im wanting to work making dolls with a similar body (I could never make one that looks near as good). So Im looking for nude photos of the body. Id also like some good photos of the joints and closeups of hands and feet if possible.

Why do some people have different (sd) arms on their Unoss? I don't understand why someone would switch arms on her. It looks like you only gain a little length in the arm. Are there other benefits? It also looks like the resin doesn't quite match in the second pic.

 

I have a Unoss on her way from Crescent-Shop, and I also have a Volks SD13 boy body. When she gets here, I will switch some heads around, and take some photos for you!

 

My Unoss is very girly, but if I get time when I take pictures tonight I'll try to switch her head with one of my boys and takes some pics.

 

Sorry for taking so long. Here is my Unoss head on a Volks SD13 boy body. They are both normal skin color, but the body is the new Pureskin UV cut.
The resin matches almost perfectly. The head seems just a tiny bit too small, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a little sanding of the neck. I would think that the head would look better on a SD10 boy body. I am sorry I don't have any other boy bodies on hand.

I dont know if this is the right place, but i want to try to make a thing that works like the eye "holder" on u-noa dolls (the one makeing ther eyes moves)

^^' My request if probably difficult to answer, but I'm still trying.

I was wondering if someone owning both a Unoss and a Lishe would be kind enough to behead them and show us what a Lishe head (normal or dreaming) looks like on a Unoss body.
The resin color or match aren't important ; I just want to check the proportions.
