Unoa Girls (Lusis+Sist)

Nov 19, 2025

    1. I have a couple girls I've decided to FINALLY sit down and shell out!!!

I was initially thinking of basing them off my two kitties (A black cat and a white cat) but it wasnt really clicking...
Now, I'm taking it down Goth and Pastel girlfriends:chibi:aheartbea

(Full disclosure, I straight up didnt realize they basically look like Chibiusa and Hotaru until way after, but whatever!!! Almost better??:abambi:)

I think I'll make some outfits myself (open to hearing some places though for these styles,) but if anyone knows a good place for wigs and eyes (and probably shoes/socks) That would be great!!! Im trying to find a deep purple its a bit tough!! (pink isnt too hard to find but if I find some pre-styled that would be nice, im nervous to dive into wig styling...)

      :thumbupWhat do you think!!!

    3. Aaa what a cute plan! Looking forward to see how you go forward with it! :aheartbea

(As for the images - sometimes they display as X even if everything is done correctly when the forum has a lot of traffic - it's an ongoing problem we all face! They usually fix themselves, and the pics should always show when you hit reply at least.)

    5. Sounds like the opposite of a problem to me! Though I'd say the pastel one looks more like Chibichibi than Chibiusa.

In terms of eyes, your best bet is always going to be the custom route; Ashuradark and Secret Art Studio (Etsy) are the two that immediately come to mind, and Ashuradark has done custom work for many users here, so you can probably ask around how easy they are to work with. Naturally custom eyes can be expensive, but it's the best way to ensure you get exactly what you want. (Please note: I generally do not recommend buying doll eyes/wigs on etsy, unless you're reasonably confident you're getting a genuine artist product. There are many shops on Etsy that sell bootleg (recast) BJDs, or use artist's photos while delivering a subpar product. I'm not saying never buy from Etsy, just be cautious when you're seeing the same wig in dozens of shops.)

Legenddoll has probably the best selection of artist quality eyes/wigs, but their categorization is a tiny bit flawed sometimes. Thankfully you're working with a very well-established and common doll size, so you're not likely to run into the same problems a tiny outfitter does when trying to source things. As an added bonus, they also sell shoes and clothes, so it's a great place to find some nice artist products without having to sift through taobao and proxy services.

Sewing for dolls is great fun; it's challenging but extremely rewarding when you finally finish that outfit exactly the way you wanted it to look. But I would rather sew my hands together than try and sew a knee-high combat boot by hand, so I tend to just try and shop for shoes when I need them. Socks and stockings, on the other hand, are extremely easy - it's a matter of wrapping fabric around the doll's leg and sewing along the line. You can still buy them, of course, and you may find this preferable to fiddling with a doll's leg, but it's definitely not as difficult a project as a full garment is.

I just need to shout you out here because I knew Leekeworld still sold their wigs somewhere but I couldn't for the life of me remember, so thank you so much for sharing that link!

    6. Hehe, I think moreso the dynamic of the two designs reminds me of them, she does look closer to chibichibi on her own tho for sure!

Thank you so much for these amazing sources :love Im browsing and so many great options, I'm so grateful!!

I am SO with you on etsy, BIG reason I wanted to ask here is because how much I dont think I can trust it... Don't wanna risk it...

I think I'm not TOO concerned with "accuracy" to the ref I drew, it's more of a vibe check! As long as I find some pretty green and gold eyes I'm happy, even the wigs I'm open to adjusting the style if I something I like. But I do adore some of the custom work I've seen , so I will absolutely be saving those suggestions!!

I'm still pretty greenhorn but Ive sewn a few outfits in the past for dolls, so im pretty excited to make some for them (My mum would sew a lot of barbie clothes for us as kids so she has helped me a lot:aheartbea) Socks themselves arent a fear so much as fishnets :sweat I can't seem to get them how Id like them, so I'll save myself the agony LOL
