I am currently going through a complete nightmare. After enduring the seemlessly endless Soom wait for my Afi he is now lost within the country! He was sent out 2weeks ago & released from customs last Monday, I have already paid the custom fee which was placed on him & even allowed to arrange a delivery date (which I did for the 18th but of course nothing arrived). I confronted Parcelforce face-to-face to enquire about my item where I was told it was unusual for an item to have been released but not to have arrived at the National Hub after over 7days. They took my number & said they would enquire with the International Hub about the parcel, I have not heard back from them. Does anyone know what I should do? Or can do? I am terrified Afi has been lost & may never be located!! Below is as much tracking data as I have got. Any advice welcome, please help! Correct me if I'm wrong, but do you mean you were able to pay the custom charges BEFORE the doll actually arrived at the local delivery depot? That is very strange; I've never been able to do that. Even if I track a doll and the status changes to 'released with charges', I can't pay the charges until the doll physically arrives at the delivery depot =/ I'm not sure if it works differently where you live, but that's how it goes with the depot in Glasgow, so I'm surprised you were able to pay the charges at all - or rather, they took your charges before the item was in the actual depot and ready for delivery. Of course, if the doll WAS at the depot when you paid the charges, then one would assume it would still be there now even if they forgot to stick it into a van and deliver it to you. I'm assuming you've pestered the local depot to search high and low for your package to make sure it's not been stashed away somewhere and forgotten?
Yes, I thought the same & confronted them about the fact I already had a customs letter & showed them the e-mail receipt for my payment. They told me the letter was auto-generated after the item was released with charges. The tracking still says International Hub, in progress, expected delivery date 18/3. I have not heard back from PF since Tuesday but have contacted them again & Soom also. I basically have no idea where he is & am getting no help T-T
Oh Cat honey T_T Poor you! I can't offer advice as this has never happened to me, but I can offer myself as someone to argue for you with Parcel Farce...I know it sounds silly but ask anyone who knows me; I'm great at being forceful and getting info from people who don't want to give it. Seriously if you feel too stressed out or whatever, I'll happily give them a ring.
Hi!!!! This has'nt exactly happened to me, but the bottom line is I had brought a doll from a UK dealer, have waited an endless 5 months, and the dealer explains to me my parcel has basically gone missing, i've tried to contact or have a reply from the couriers (parcelforce i presume), but nothing from them and I havent gotten any word from customs either, and the dealer isn't replying to me either. So, missing parcel, 5 months of waiting for maybe nothing, and no communication whatsoever from multiple ends. T__T
You have merely one serious choice, get FIRM with them. Not RUDE, but firm. If the parcel is in the country and parcelforce have registered it enough to charge you the fees and release it, you need to get on the phone with them and refuse to hang up until they put a trace on the box. They'll tell you they can't do this, which will be a predictable lie from them, but they can and will if you hassle them enough. Since you paid the fee, they have already assigned it a UK tracking number which means they can trace every hand that's touched that box since it hit UK soil and should then be able to narrow down which section of their half arsed operation let it fall out of a cage for you...which is more than likely what's happened here tbh. Basically, DO NOT TAKE NO AS AN ANSWER. They're PERFECTLY capable of finding that box, your mission is to get them to actually do their jobs and remember, always get the name of the person you're speaking to on the phone and make notes on every phonecall so that there's ABSOLUTELY no doubt about what was said to who.
YES! Brilliant, The problem is solved! Thanks for helping me, my confidence is so degrading. XD anyway, its all good, My parcel is coming on tuesday~~~Or this week. either way, SHE'S NOT LOST/MISSING ANYMORE! T_T Oh thank heavens. Anyway, Thanks Lulu for taking the time to post the reply~~~xxxx
I've got a package that's been missing over three months. I keep getting passed back between different people. I know how you feel when no one wants to help you get the things you've paid for.
my feeple Chloe went missing too, and after 5 phone calls and hours later i finally tracked her down.....i too was firm and i think if you get a bit shirty they sit up and take notice..glad it has all worked out well for you
