ohh i'd like to see! well could you do one for unoa? i believe her and MSD share the same sizes right?
You could probably use some of the sloper patterns from undeadthreads as the basis for a uniform, and fairly easily (even just by trial and error) modify them to your doll's measurements. All you'll need is a skirt/blouse/tie, aye?
There are several styles of school girl uniform, aren't there? I can think of blouse & skirt, sailor styles, and blazer uniforms, just off the top of my head. Blouse and skirt is easiest, as there exist blouse and skirt patterns for many sizes of dolls, and blazer is probably toughest to sew, although patterns exist. Middy blouses are middling in difficulty to sew (that collar at its ends is a little difficult), and I don't recall seeing a pattern. It's on my list, but pretty far down. Could you maybe give a little more information as to which style you are looking for? A link to a picture or reference to a manga or anime would also really help us tell you how to achieve the effect. Ann in CT
This pattern is for MSD I'm yet to try this but here's a pattern for the blouse, with both front fastening and back fastening options one sailor flap the skirt is just a basic pleated skirt which I've explained how to do before. (http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78483) As i said, this pattern is untested so I don't know if it will work, but it should, as i altered it from patterns I've used before. the blouse is meant to be baggy, I didn't include a cuff as the model I used didn't have one, but one can be added at user's discretion. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a191/seraphim_grace/patterns/school uniform1/01.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a191/seraphim_grace/patterns/school uniform1/02.jpg These have gauges on them but should be printed on basic A4 paper, I'd love to see what you make from them. If you have any questions about the patterns or how to make them email me at [email protected]
*revives a very old thread to ask a question* has anyone actually used the pattern provided by seraphim in the above post, because I can't work out how it all fits together - i'm a novice at sewing, I don't understand how the bodice in the pattern fits into the construction? Is it a separate piece? Help!
for some reason unknown to man I gave two backs in the pattern.... just ignore the one on the second page what you need to do is sew the shoulder pieces together with right sides together fit the sleeves into the curve you've made then sew up the sleeves and sides, all bodices go together the same way
ah that clears it up for me, thank you. I was getting needlessly confused over my own misunderstanding
