hey, in september I ordered a big doll from them and I have the invoice and everything. I have not heard from them, I have inquired about the shipping and order status, I have posted a q&a on their website. Their provided email of contact results in a mailer daemon. Other emails have not received a reply and my q&a was also not reviewed. Im starting to get a really weird feeling about this and am wondering what to do. It was 500 eur afterall and Id really like to know the status of my doll. I ordered through their official website. Have you had similar issues? WHat should I do?
Isn't IOS in Thailand? Aren't they dealing with massive flooding etc? Even if the people at IOS are unaffected, they may still be without power or internet access or perhaps are dealing with family in need. I'd give them some grace and some time to respond~
According to the IOS waiting thread, others have also had problems with lack of communication... You could try reaching out through paypal? S.Korean services sometimes have problem with emails from Gmail coming through (or their mails not getting through to Gmail addresses), in case this is what you use, you could also try emailing from another service. Then again this wouldn't explain them ignoring you in the q&a board of course. Hope you manage to get in touch!
IOS have had a recent history of communication issues – ask myself and @MaleficentMrsofEvil and @Muraki88, who is a dealer for them. I ordered a doll and a head a month apart in November/December 2023, and IOS communicated to let me know they would send them together, but I then had radio silence in the following months no matter how many messages I put on the Q&A board or sent via email. I only got communication when I opened a Paypal dispute 5 months into my wait time. The doll and head were sent out shortly after, but I consider opening a claim to be burning bridges with a dollmaker, and I would not order from IOS again. From talking to other doll owners and dealers, IOS's communication hasn't improved since my order (and I can't help but wonder if their creation of the Doppel Maiden brand is to deflect some of these issues). I understand some dollmakers have long wait times, but having no communication about the progress of your order isn't encouraging, especially without a dealer to try and intervene on your behalf. (I'm experiencing long wait times with another dollmaker, but I regularly check in with my dealer to see how the order is progressing, so there's communication between the dealer and dollmaker) I would highly recommend opening a Paypal claim if you've had no communication – it was the only way MaleficentMrsofEvil and I got our orders sent. It's a real shame IOS's communication and practices haven't improved since I placed my order, but nobody wants to be in a Dollshe waiting situation, and you have to protect yourself and your money while Paypal protection is still in place.
Update: I emailed them with a threat of opening a paypla dispute would I not hear back before Christmas. I finally got a reply! And they are mailing my order out soon, luckily. Still gave me the wrong date, but I was able to reach them by calling. So that worked. Posting it in case anyone got scared before ordering
Final update: Order wasnt shipped as promised in email or by call. I sent another email with another threat of paypal case, no reply. after filing my paypal dispute I finally got a shipment notification with the tracking number on the first working day after the report. as sad as it is, IOS doll makes pretty dolls, but I will never order from them ever again and will definitely discourage people from doing so. THeir communication is absolute trash and it doesnt make any sense to me. Going out of their way to produce a discontinued doll upon an email inquiry for me but as soon as I paid the money they cease to reply and only hold up their end of the deal through a paypal dispute is honestly outrageous.
I'm glad your order is on the way. Sadly, this is exactly the same as my experience with IOS in 2024. It's not a good sign that their customer service has remained so poor. I hope your doll arrives quickly and safely.
Thank you! I hope so too. Im pretty neevous, as my adress wasnt showing up correctly on the invoice and I had put it into almost every single email I sent them. But in the worst case I can always put another paypal claim through I guess and at least get my money back
