    1. Dear BJD fans!

      We are delighted to announce a convention right here in the U.K coming October 21st 2023! We’ve got stalls, talks and competitions all in an amazingly gorgeous venue; the Mercure Grand Hotel Leicester in the King’s Hall!

      So far we have had a fantastic response from BJD collectors, doll makers and artists and we would love for as many people to attend as possible.

    15. We’ve sold over 80 so far and we have a max of around 300 for sale so plenty left! If you buy now they are £15 but later on will be £20 :)

    17. It might be an odd point to make, but I appreciate hearing that max! Running a con is extremely difficult at the best of times, but one of the major errors people make is not respecting a venue’s capacity, or overestimating their own ability to deal with said capacity.

      I super appreciate that this is being kept realistic and appropriate for the venue, that’s really reassuring both in general but also speaks of your great organisation of this!

      I’m so stoked for the actual event! :D

    47. Hello everyone we had a few questions re: the “age” of this con and suitability for kiddies!

      We obviously have to warn parents that some items might be scary (we’ve got spooky doll competitions as well as spooky humans!) somewhat adult themed items and also fragile/expensive bits so the con is essentially aimed at 16+

    49. Could I ask what you mean by "transferring" tickets? I've been looking all over the site and there's lots of mention of "transferring" tickets and when it must be done by, but I don't understand the terminology here. Transferring to who? In what way? Is there some actual official process?

    50. As in given them to someone else. We just want to make sure people who have paid are the ones coming into the con. We have essentially got a “guest list” so if anything went wrong we know who attended :)

    51. Thank you for the clarification! I think the use of the word “transferred” makes it sound like some official process rather than just giving a ticket to a friend. That’s good to know.

      It’s really bad luck that Square Enix announced Fan Fest for the same weekend. I’m one of the people it’s going to affect, since Fan Fest is a pretty big deal in the FFXIV community and all my pals want to go to that instead. It is what it is of course, but of all weekends they had to pick that one! :XD:

    52. Got tickets for my husband and I. He says it's about an hour drive from our place to Leicester. Buying tickets was easy, I liked the system, better than many others I had used. Confirmation to e-mail arrived fast. Looking forward.
