Two different body types can't decide which to start first (newbie)

These are super rough sketches planning on refining during the sculpt obviously lol

Literally my first time I don't even own a BJD yet, but I love sculpting and love the idea of a hand made doll and possibly sending it to a resin casting company to get many colors or possibly to sell.
I'm just unsure which would be a better first project. The one on the right (curvy girl) is about the size of a monster high doll if that helps. I'm assuming the shorter one would be easier to balance as far as getting her to stand on her own, but I imagine bigger is easier when stringing? Can tall/lanky dolls like the one on the left even stand without a doll stand?
I would like both to be double jointed in the knees and elbows. I really want max pose-ability.
Do you guys have any tips for me?
Also which do you all like better aesthetically?

    2. Large dolls can definitely stand on their own without assistance - because resin is so heavy in comparison to toy dolls (like MH), they are also more sturdy. Whether yours will or won't be able to comes down to how well you design them :D

The most common/ popular heights for dolls are either minifee-compatible (40-44cm tall slim mini) or SD/SD+ (60cm and up). If you want your doll to have the maximum appeal, making your doll's proportions similar to either one of these should help because there are more clothes available for them.

But in the end it's always the best to work on whatever inspires you the most.
