The modified pattern for Lusion Dahlia includes a wider sole and a bigger slipper opening to accommodate her very high instep. Dahlia’s foot is about 4.5 inches long and 2 inches at the widest. This pattern uses short rows and 4 types of decreases: k2 tog., k3 tog., sl1, k1, PSSO, and sl1, k2tog, PSSO. U.S. size 3 (3.25 mm) needles and 2 colors of sock yarn Note: Shorter knitting needles might be more convenient than longer ones. Gauge: 7 sts/inch 10 rows/inch Sole: Cast on 52 sts. K 3 rows, placing a marker in the middle of work (26 sts each side of marker) on the third row. Note: Placing a safety pin on one side of your work might help keep track of the increase rows.
