Twigling Doll Discussion ~ Part 2

I think I have managed to choose what I want for this preorder... aaaaaaaand... the next one

I just wonder how we will need to pay for additionnal options/parts/heads, if they will need to be paid upfront or if it will be possible to add them to the current layaway until the end of the year?
I guess we will know soon...

I did hesitate about Pieta, but I will wait for the next preorder... and the last question is for new comers only, as for the one about Pieta, you can't unclick them if you make a choice by mistake... Reese told me not to worry about it though..

I wonder if they might arrive before Doll Rendez Vous at the beginning of December in Paris... being able to pick her up there would be awesome...

 

I thought I'd settled on the configuration for my Ingenue, but I can't seem to decide between the short and long hip parts now that I've seen the comparison photos. So far I'm pretty certain on going with pink skin, bust C and long legs, and maybe some extra hands if I can't decide on which type to pick. Argh, so many choices!
One thing for sure though, I have definitely got to get a couple of pairs of those stilettos!

Put my specifics in and almost kicking myself for not being able to get the sleepy Ingenue head since this is the last chance but I just cant at this point. Super excited we have reached this point in the layaway though

I've filled the order sheet just yesterday, i had decided averything already but hands, was nice to have many options to choose amount also extra for vivid resin color was cheaper that what i thought, pretty happy!

 

Thanks for the link. I got my tan original Pieta ordered and an extra Kahlo head to match the body. I was not adventurous enough to go for the new body proportions, just the original torso and legs. Maybe next time will get a different body after seeing how other people's dolls turn out.

 

Got my order in----Gamine, Teal Skin, C bust, Original Hip, Long legs, Long Nail hands, White Stiletto shoes, extra elegant original hands. Getting an extra set of hands just in case--I am getting Teal, and if anything happens I want back-up hands.

Gamine will be my fourth Twigling gal Just love her dolls to pieces!

 

I ordered Ingenue since it seems to be her last go around. I got an Oryx extra head too. Long hips, c bust, long legs and long nail hands. I ordered tan skin. This will be my first Twigling doll.

 

Just filled in the order form (and have possibly planned out my next couple of Twigling dolls too). I'm going for an Ingenue OE in rose pink, with short hips, long legs and elegant hands. I've also order 2 pairs of stilettos in white & black and also went for an extra Ingenue SA head. So excited!

 

I skipped the shoes, but now I'm wondering. Are the feet difficult to find shoes for? Should I add a pair?

EDIT: I went back and looked up her info and the info here in this thread and I should be ok for shoes. I have EID ladies. I may still get a pair though.

 

It sounds as though the feet are very similar in size to Iplehouse's large dolls so their shoes could fit, and if that's the case then some Dollmore Model F shoes may also fit Twigling dolls. At least that's what my thought it is, although I can't be totally sure until Ingenue arrives. This is also my first Twigling doll, so someone else may have better knowledge about what fits.

There's some reference info on at the beginning of this thread saying that very thing. We should be ok with Iplehouse EID shoes and DM model f shoes. I have some of those.

 

It looks like we were! I already have several pairs of IH and DM shoes too so it's good to know my Twigling girl should fit them. I'll admit that I mostly bought the stilettos because they looked cute and I like the idea of her having her own custom-made shoes!

 

My Newkiru wears Iplehouse EID boots and they fit really well. I've found some of the heels seem a little big though it depends on the style? I'm not sure why that is.

Speaking of planning, I was just wondering what everyone is going to do with their dolls. I know it's still a way off yet, but I'm too excited not to start making plans and looking for ideas - I think the next few months of waiting are going to be tricky.

 

Zaliayn- I ended up ordering 2 different heads, 2 different sets of hands, and 2 different busts so my doll will be multiple characters. I got an Elbe and a Kahlo. Elbe is going to be the sister of my Twigling Eloy, Braum. Kahlo is going to be decked out as an ancient vampire queen.

I really can't wait for the December flood of Twigling dolls. So many colour and size combinations. It'll fun to see what everyone else comes up with.

 

I picked up an Ingenue. She is going to be more or less an assassin in my work. Decked in some strange color combinztions. But she'll be fun to work with..

 

I'm getting Elbe and Kahlo, with extra busts and hands.

 

I have Oryx with b and d busts, long nail hands, long torso and short legs in tan skin coming. Eeee so excited to see all these new dolls coming

 

I'm going to enjoy seeing photos of all these new dolls when they arrive, especially the new headsculpts and body options - I'm really interested in seeing Oryx and Elbe in the different resin colours.

Great plans BlitheFool, I can't wait to see your vampire queen and it'll be nice seeing how Elbe and Eloy look next to each other. You know, I've never considered having one doll and swapping out the parts to make it another character before, I'm not sure if I'd find it odd to do or not. But it does strike me as a clever way of essentially having a second doll out of one, and saving on storage & display space.

Scarele, I like the idea of using unusual colour combinations for your assassin, she does sound like she'll be fun to style - I look forward to seeing her!

 

Yay Dreadfulme! Another Oryx! I can't wait until they arrive. Excited to see everyone's vision come to fruition.

I sometimes know exactly what I want my girls to look like, but in this case, I'll probably figure it out once I have them in hand.

 

So excited to see everyones plans! I have been looking around for a faceup artist who can recreate the style my poor succubi needs. No luck yet

Zaliayn - I've never body shared either but this seemed like a good opportunity since Twigling offered different bust sizes and hands! I'm sure she'll spend more time as one character but it'll be handy for story telling!

 

My friend and I exchanged dolls: my Ingenieuse for her layaway girl. So I was able to chose which girl I wanted from all the wonderful parts

I'm getting: Kahlo, Short hip, short legs, vivid skin, Bust C, Relaxed and long nail hands, Resin shoes in black.

I'm so excited. I hope she'll work perfectly for my character

 

I so wish I could afford to get in in this order! I have figured out four different combinations that I want, but most of all I wish for a Kahlo with long hip, A bust, and long legs! *sigh*

 

Looks like Kahlo is getting to be quite popular. The first time I saw her I thought of the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti. So it will be fun trying to bring her to life.

 

My choice was Oryx, now i simply love her mold now i'm figuring out some eyes for her!

 

I'm still waiting for Twigling to reply to my enquire regarding the final billing notices, apparently i got 4 rates instead of 5 and i really don't know why..i've also filled the survey form and infact i've added a note cause in the options 5 rates was not available as choice and i was not able to skip the question

 

I haven't heard from Twigling since my down payment---are people getting contacted yet?

 

I've had some contact from Twigling - mainly around some small issues that have developed, but I haven't had any problems with lack of contact. There are a lot of people on this list, so perhaps if nothing is going wrong, there is no need for contact? Or perhaps there is a list she's working through?

As for my order, I have confirmed - I'm getting an Ingenue with the largest bust, short body, long legs, the new long nail hands and a pair of white resin heels. I'm just wondering if I will indulge in some of Iplehouse's epic historical outfits for my new girl!

 

Twigling sent my paypal invoice earlier for the extra parts I'm ordering (I filled out the form a couple of days ago) although I already paid outright for my doll rather that doing a layaway, so maybe there are fewer details to sort out on that front. When I've contacted her via facebook she's always responded fairly quickly though. I would think she's working to some kind of list because I'd imagine she's been fairly busy since the order form went live.

Btw, ingenue OE, large bust, short torso, long legs in vivid! So psyched! My first Twigling! Wish I could get a teal lady too....so beautiful!

That teal colour is lovely. I was so tempted to go for it for my doll but I'm not sure what I'd do with her if she was that colour. Maybe I'll go for the fantasy colour next time. This will be my first Twigling doll too, although I doubt it'll be the last - I think I planned out another 2 dolls while filling out that form lol!

Twigling reached out to me with a new payment schedule since I'd requested to add the extra part to my layaway (rather than just pay them at the end). Since 60 + people are signed up for this, I'd imagine she's just working her way through the list and processing the orders.

 

It seems like she's getting to people in the order they filled out the surveys, and as Blithefool pointed out, there are a lot of them to go through. It just means we all need to be a little patient. Remember, the order doesn't finalize until mid-August, and doesn't actually end until December!

 

My ingenue just wanted to drop in for tea.

 

Zaliayn I feel you about teal color ended up ordering vivid color for my Orix cause i will surely deal with it instead if teal color will be too luird of too faint instead i wouldn't be able to deal with that color
