Twigling Doll Discussion ~ Part 2

Question for the discussion board!! Can we post mockups of our ideas for the preorder girls? I'm doing a rough sketch of my twigling girl I've got planned and would love some feedback. 8)

Thanks @$abbatha and @$avage!! Here's a rough sketch of what I have in mind for her, albeit sans color for now.



As I said, it's still a bit rough. My plan is for the lovely female elf head to become one of my Faces of Death from my story [Death is three entities, instead of one], this one in particular named Zephyra. She has blue-grey markings on her face and blue-black hair, and red eyes with a red gem also in her forehead as a focus stone. I haven't quite decided what resin will work for her, but it will likely be one of the pale tones, perhaps the palest? She's aligned with ice and winter as her element/season, so a pure white would compliment her color palette well.

Twigling has reawakened my muse, and she hungers greatly!! I can only hope things go smoothly this summer, and that I don't miss the preorder. ; ~ ; Damn you, academics!! *shakes fist at the sky*

A little more Eloy spam since the weather is nice and the flowers are blooming I actually got to take him outside.

Thank you, [MENTION=9171]aernath[/MENTION]! I planted those last year and I was surprised they came back since we've had zero rain for such a long stretch. Braum's a little washed out in that photo but I'm not a talented enough photographer to know how to balance these things...

 

BlitheFool - I love your Eloy! He looks just lovely I like how you've styled him.

@BlitheFool: Thanks!! Your Eloy is simply BEAUTIFUL! I've seen a few photos of him floating around, and he always grabs my eye. You've wonderful job on him~

@$avage: Thank you! I did see the samples, and I can't recall if she has special term for the white, but that's the color I'm planning on ordering her in! It would give me the greatest flexibility in blushing her too, so I could work in the blues to her skintone. EEE!! I'm so excited about all of this, I hope everything works out! 8D

About resin colors you can check Twigling facebook, somewhere in here posts she says what color are available for this pre-order..i don't recall exactly at the moment which color isn't available at this time.

Shadeling Sanguinesure I was about sharing the same link from Twigling FB, i think btw that better choice will be white so you can add color for blushing, i'm sure that this resin color will suit so much with your ideas!

 

The colour used for ingenieuse was based on iple light brown, however these things change from one batch to the next — the lahela head i used as a sample now matches fairly well with a dollshe paletan. i will not be doing any darker colours as regular editions (or at all) untill the issue with surface lightening due to sandblasting and chemical treatment that i cannot get enough information about. for me it is a big problem when the sueding or some types of clothing on a doll absorbs the chemical treatment and reveals the true colour aka. lighter sandblasted surface texture.

Twigling, have you had any news from Dollshe regarding your Eloy's heads pre-order?

EDIT: What I really mean is: 'are they late?'. I am aware that you are attending the Dolls & Party on the 4/5 July so I don't expect my boy before middle of July. I just want peace of mind.

The Ingenue face won't be available, but the same body is used for other head sculpts.

 

Me too! If V2 isn't available I'm going to have a real quandary because that version works so much better for my djinn, but I'm all committed to this pre-order
(if I end up stuck with V1 I'm sure she'd grow on me once she got here, but looking at pictures of that sculpt hasn't made me giddy anymore after the drama in this thread)

She would be a kind of shaman in my pirate story. And V1 could also work well for the character

I believe so. [MENTION=238]twigling[/MENTION] has a number of head sculpts for this body so I don't imagine it's going anywhere anytime soon

The Obsidian Ingenue was a one time, super limited release. You might be able to find one second hand, but I don't think Twigling has mentioned any plans to do another obsidian resin release

 

She specifically stated she is not doing any dark resins until the problem of the surface treatment which caused difficulty is solved.

Oh, wow. So many to choose from! I thought I'd made up my mind but this gets me pondering.

 

I wasn't sure I was going to get one of these ladies, but now that I've seen the finished prototypes (or, specifically, seen Elbe ::swoon I'll have to put one on layaway. Now to decide what skin tone! (and bust size, and leg length, and torso lol)

 

I *think* I have decided on all the parts for my Ingenue! So awesome to see all the combinations!!
