    3. Ai ai ai, it's starting to look like I'm going to have to spring for one of these torsos to go with the limbs I ordered. I'd originally though I'd be able to skip her, but now that we're seeing pictures....she's lovely.

      Will we be able to see pictures of the torso next to a common doll torso/body before the ordering is finalized (I want to see the neck comparison, as I'm a visual person and '10cm' really doesn't give me an idea of compatibility with my head)?

      Will there be multiple bust options available?

    4. Hi Kiya,

      There will only be the one bust option this time around, sorry, but I don't see why if there is enough interest I couldn't swing it in the future. 10 cm is the same as a pureskin SD13 girl, so Wren should look really good on this body.

      The good thing about thicker neck/larger (it's not huge, though) busts, is that its a lot easier to sand away and make them smaller/thinner than it is to build up and make the additions match and blend in.

      You are SO right about the neck, better too big, those OLD SD13 necks are so thin some heads look silly on them

    8. dechanique, I'm only doing oldskin white and oldskin normal, did you mean match each individual order to a specific sample? I'm afraid that just isn't feasible at this point.

    11. Mmm....I love those preview pics and she's sounding better and better as I watch. I'd still love to see images of her next to a standard doll of some sort, though! Just because comparison pics are always a good thing. ^_~

      Any idea yet how her hip width will compare to SD13 or SD girls? Wider? Narrower? The same? **happy wiggles**

    12. Hi Kiya,

      I'll take some pics next to my old SD torso as soon as we've sprayed a few more coats of grey, as I had to do a bit of sanding after the pics were taken. I can also take comparisons with Supia and Limhwa. Hips will be 25.5 to 26cm, which is the same as a pureskin SD13 girl. I'll give you an accurate measurement when I have the Limbs in hand to test. Bust is 24cm (2mm less than a PS SD13 girl) and waist is 18cm (8mm less than a PS SD13 girl).

      I wanted to make the measurements as close as possible to the "standard" size, so clothing fit wouldn't be an issue.

      I also started sculpting the thingy that will sit inside the head today. It's like a cradle for the S-hook that allows the head to look up and down without the S-hook jumping out of place.

    16. Elf Piper, there may be extra sets cast depending on the condition of the (limbs-) molds after the first 25 sets are cast. I have put your name down to contact if this does occur.

      Enaibi, Thank you!! :D I don't plan to sculpt a head for this body, it is just for people who have floating heads to have a nice body to put them on. However I am also working on another doll (with head) which will be ready in a few months.

    22. Your doll is another one I love to come back and check on! I love the whole engineering aspect of making these dolls. It's not just sculpting. To do it right you have to have a machinists precision. Aesthetically, and technically you have just out done yourself. Your work is marvelous. It really is. Love the hands and feet ;)

      Fitz; I haven't decided yet, but French resin (with UV stabiliser) is certainly an option. Ordering will be different, so I can't promise anything ~ no lists this time. It's all very hush-hush and secrit for the time being.... but I can tell you the next doll is also female and she will be around 60cm tall.

      illyrimur, I sold Limbs sets for $207 plus shipping, and everyone in the first order is able to order the full set (torso plus Limbs) for $350 plus shipping as a special "thank you"-price for helping me get the project off the ground. Ordering closed almost two weeks ago, and the edition is sold out, but there may still be some extra sets available after the first 25 orders have been filled. Otherwise there will be ordering periods later in the year again, after I take a break to work on my new doll.

    25. Hey Twig! ^__^ Just wanted to say again you've got some awesome, AWESOME stuff here. I think its totally marvelous.

      I was wondering if you had a Photobucket/Flickr/ect thing that you had all your photos on. I noticed this there was missing a lot of pics, and your wip there was the same. o.o Is there any place that people would be able to see the pictures again, or did you pull them for a specific reason?

      Thanks for your time, and your effort! The finished works are going to be totally astounding-- so don't be stingy with those pictures! :D

    32. Would you be releasing full bodies at all? I really like the replacement for the SD10 bodies including all the legs, feet, arms, hands and torso. I think it is absolutely perfect for my Kun!

    33. bella, I am working on a two-part torso at the moment (originally sculpted by otehrunicorn) ~ buyers from the first order (which closed some time ago) was given the option to upgrade from Limbs to full-body, and most of them have done so. I will open for orders again once the first group is shipped out. There are some pictures of the body with the new torso in the sales thread (see my signature), and there will be new pictures this week when I finish modding the torso.
