Your furniture is amazing. I'm mindblown by the details! Ecspecially the antique throne is so beautiful. I love the slightly shabby look its color got.
Your 1/3 throne is quite beautiful. With such elegant, gothic lines, it is my favorite of your works. The dolls that are enjoying it are also lovely! It's a great scene. ^_^
You are absolutely magnificent! Everything is so beautiful and stunning! I wish I could craft such fine things of my own. How wide is the plywood you use? 1/4th inch?
I'm wondering, is it possible to use MDF instead of plywood? I saw some smaller pieces of MDF (6mm(T) x 300mm(W) x 400mm(L)). The plywood that the hardware shop is selling is either in a big piece or 18mm thickness... The furniture that I had in mind are chairs and tables something like a cafe theme type
Thank you, guys! Very glad to see you all and appreciate all your comments! I am glad that you follow my work and try to do something within yourself. About the thickness of veneer - it all depends on the size of the product, of course. 1:4 I use the plywood, thickness 10 mm and 7 mm MDF - not what we need, because I do not only straight lines, but also round off their, and there's no way to get from MDF unfortunately. If you are still interested in the process as I do furniture - will show you the example of garden benches "vine" in the amount of 1:6. Sometimes people ask me: "are you help elves and dwarves to make furniture" - so, it's true My main assistant and mastermind is Lavender (bjd 1:12) So, for this product, I (and Lavender) took plywood, of a thickness of 7 mm for side benches, and even plywood, of a thickness of 4 mm for plates. How we scrollsaw all the parts - I showed on the first page of this topic and I will not repeat all the same. Today I want to dwell on details. Then, I make a sample for mounting spikes: And Lavender already offers to start coarse grinding. But still early. First you need to check whether the connected all the details. Do you like, what happened? But this is only the beginning...
The bench is gorgeous! I still can't believe that you do all that sawing by hand! Do you get blisters on your hands? I loved the beds with closet and desk, and the throne was so beautiful......but I think my favorites were the two chairs for DC Ada! I don't think anyone has EVER thought to make something for the anthro dolls who have such a hard time fitting in, or looking comfortable in anything. I think it shows a compassionate spirit that you care for the "different" ones! I've always heard that anything that has a partly human form, like dolls, also has a form of a soul, so I'm very glad that you care about these little ones! If possible, the next time you make shoes, could you take photos of the process? Thanks very much!!
Malmer, Thank you very much, I am very pleased. Now place the sequel roni207, Thank you. I is great that you are worried about the fact that my hands were healthy. Of course there were cuts on her arms and still I often wash the nails when grind my products. But I work with pleasure and only while it is pleasant, but not blistering. Very helpful in polishing Dremel and grinding machine for large flat surfaces.

And I wonder, many began to criticize exactly two of my chair that I developed for Ada. Maybe just people who do not understand these dolls? And I love everyone. Today, we continue to make the bench. You remember, we prepared a large grinding nozzle dremelj to round off all the edges? After rounding, we need to make them completely smooth. To do this, take the nozzle for dremelj grinding stone of different configurations. Lavender is an excellent helper, right? Now check enough smooth all our polished corners. Mark up the sketch of future bends - imitation stamping. And select the attachment dremelj.
Sanding parts with fine sandpaper. Paint details, give the aged beams of the benches, and side walls give the effect of forging. After that connect parts of the plug and glue methods. All. Our garden bench is ready!
