OMG such amazing entries!!! XD I'm jealous of the sewing skills some of you have! This is going to be hell to vote!

 

Question: should entries be related to the theme?

 

I can't believe some of these were made out of underpants! They're all amazing.

 

I'm so blown away by all of these (my mom is, too)! I don't know who to vote for >_<

OMG! So many of these are unbelievably fabulous! how were some of these made with just undies? Wow1 The voting is going to be hard, that's for sure.

 

I wish there were more categories to vote in. There's too much talent to choose from!

Oh dear me! I just voted and it was so-o-o-o hard because the level of creativity here frankly just blew me away. What you were all able to create from a couple pairs of undies is just completely amazing. Bravo to all those who entered!

Wow, all of these outfits are amazing! I just voted but it took me a looong time to pick. It is so inspiring to see what people can do on short notice with a challenge like this

Seriously, every last one of you is amazing! The details, and the accessories, and even soft toys and things made to match the outfit! I'm sure some of us feel totally outclassed by the competition (*raises humble paw*) but every one of us ought to feel proud of her ingenuity and creativity. I would never have believed things like this could be turned out under such constraints! choosing is really gonna be tough!

Voted! My gosh you guys drove my insane trying to look through everyone's entries and pick ONLY 3. I had at least 10 favourites and it was hard picking between them. You guys are so amazing. Now that I've seen all the details all I can say is wow.

I feel outclassed for sure in this one but I am in love with these entries. So many great ideas and details that I'm thinking of getting a few more pairs of undies just to make some more neat outfits xD.

 

Hmm how odd, when I placed down my 3 votes I got this message; "Error, you have exceeded limit for number of times this form can be submitted." And It was my first attempt to vote

And the other thing that's impressive? So few repeated dolls. I sort-of thought I'd see a couple of clear favorites,but that's not the case at all.

i dunno if im allowed to ask, but does ANYONE know anything about entry number 14's shoes?! i didnt even know there WERE shoes like that available for dollies!

where can you get those? are they from a company? are they homemade? are there more?!! heck I myself want to wear them!

Hehehe... I knew there was a reason that I didn't enter. There's NO WAY I'd have come up with anything like some of these. Hats off to absolutely all parties! Gosh how do you CHOOSE?

 

My only question is: Where are all of you on the forum? Seriously if I saw these in the marketplace, you could probably buy the prize for yourself in a matter of months. I encourage those who entered to keep working and in the future offer some of these wonderful creations for sale.

 

All of these entries blew me away! I had to get help to choose my favorites! The list was so long!! You all are amazing!

 

I guess the triathlon forces us all to work as best as we can. ^^ Without the force, I'm not sure any of use would want to work to create something like this. And it's not about the prize as well, I think it's pride? XD;; It's a competition of skills, right? ^^

I have a feeling I know who created some of the outfits. Simply because I've seen their works in the market place, and I looked at the item and went 'oh wait, that's the pattern that x uses, I saw them make that same outfit with other material'.

 

it was so tough choosing!! so many beautiful things were made! there really are some talented and creatives people here

 

I just voted!...and now I'll echo everyone else: that was ridiculously hard!! XD All of you entrants did an amazing job! There were some very clever uses of the existing buttons/bows/elastic/etc., and all the little handmade details also blew me away. I once used a pair of ruffle panties to make a very simple tube top and skirt for a doll, but now I see that I clearly overlooked a lot of potential to make them into a much more creative outfit. I'm never going look at undies the same way again! lol

 

OH MY GOD this is just underwear!! Fabulous job to all those who entered.
This fashions are all so creative! If any of you aren't already making clothes
you should really consider it!

 

Yes, I think many of the more experienced seamstresses picked the panties apart and used the fabric with their patterns, which turned out beautifully. While those with lesser sewing skills--and no patterns--used chunks of the panties, as is, to assemble their outfits, also effective and unique.

 

LOL, my feelings exactly; this was really an eye-opener! I had never before thought of underwear as an inexpensive way to get a small amount (and that's all we need!) of really nice material, but now I'll be thinking differently.

 

Everyones entries look great. A few of them also gave me some new ideas for clothes for my doll. I was going to enter but was having trouble getting Picassa to let me upload my photos to my flickr account and then I saw the second challenge and knew I wouldn't be able to do it anyhow. Not during the week of finals for my summer classes and at home at least Still got a great outfit for my girl by trying though and I might look at underwear for fabric again in the future. It was hard to choose which one to vote for but a few of them stood out to me a bit more than others and one of them I was truly suprised somebody managed to make from underwear. Great job everybody.

 

I'm not the owner of said gorgeous outfit BUT - I do own a couple of pair of shoes similar - I bought them off e-bay.... I'll find the link and BRB

Hooooo man, I wouldn't call making an outfit out of panties a cheap way to find materials. Less than half a yard of material for $10 on just one pair was a yikes moment for me.

I am seriously amazed and floored by the turn out! The range of styles, from jammies to formals, is so cool!!

 

Very tough decision, they were all great and the imagination and creativity was amazing. Good luck to all of the entrants.

 

gotta pop back in to echo what a couple of people said: If you don't want to keep the outfits, for heaven's sakes put them up for sale! There was one in particular that I would snag in about ten seconds flat because it's so perfect; but there were others as well that I'm sure would go for a good price, undies or no!

 

Wow. I was a little miffed when I realized I completely missed the deadline to vote but, uhm, I'm thinking even if I'd known about it from the moment voting started I don't think I could have made up my mind in time which I wanted to vote for. These are simply incredible! I can't believe the talent. Its amazing. And I second, or third, or fourth, whichever it is now, the urge to set these up for sale once the contest is over. ^_^

 

Wonder when we'll see the points for the first challenge!
