    2. Briefly describe your entry's concept:
Pretending to be Merida makes her feel strong and powerful, but the dress alone won't do it--she needs a bow and arrows to be authentic! The bow was made to be a replica of Merida's bow, and was my first ever project that required using a dremel and belt sander. The quiver and arrows were more inspired by Brave than replicas, so this little girl can still be unique, even while dressing up as someone else.

Keeping to the story of the outfit, I went ahead and made a sniff box or rather a box with bottles and herbs of poison disguised as a sniff box which contains perfume and pleasantly smelling herbs. My lady has her mission and she'll fulfil it by dropping a bit of poison in the Queen's glass. By doing so she removes at once her enemy. Success guaranteed.

    7. Briefly describe your entry's concept:
Chica is a fashion model, originally Africa-born, but was LUCKY enough to be noticed and invited to the most famous runways. Today she lives in Paris and works worldwide. She is aware like nobody else that the right look can decide about your whole life. She turned from a poor scared girl to a well-educated self-confident woman thanks to presenting expensive high-quality art outfits. The crazy abstract flower dress will stay in her mind forever as a great symbol โ€“ this is her first Vogue cover photoshoots! (itโ€™s a pity the date of photoshoots is 13th, she believes in bad luck of 13)

I made from a scratch a miniature Vogue with Chica's first cover and fashion shoots inside. All pictures were taken directly for this purpose. Prop measurements: 11 cm (4.3") x 8 cm (3.2"), nearly 1 cm thick.

      Materials used:
      Old fashion magazines/ paper glue/ ruler/ scissors/ paper knife

I used old "human" magazines to keep the paper thin and glossy. I also carefully picked up page pieces to make the miniature Vogue look in doll scale, then cut them off and glue one by one with bookbinding technique:

      5. Photo of purchased materials used:(before use)
I also use Photoshop to design the cover and pages with Chica's fashion shoots inside and then printed them on right kind of paper (in professional printing point):

    9. Briefly describe your entry's concept:

Iset sits down on the edge of her magic fountain and waves her hand through the mist. Instantly it clears, and in the mirror-like reflection of the water she is able to see images of the mortal realm. The fountain is her spyglass--her only way to see the world of humans. That is, without going there personally...

"Who will fall in love next?" Iset whispers to herself, as her eyes hurriedly scan the faces appearing before her.

      ---------

I had so much fun with this one. This fountain really holds water! For the style photo I added some dry ice to create a mist coming from the basins.

      Materials used:

This fountain is made from sculpted Styrofoam and grout. I then painted the structure and embellished it with some plastic flowers.

    11. Briefly describe your entry's concept:
The King of Altral united a number of nations all thanks to an imposing weapon which he acquired in his youth. The 'Phoenix Blade' was a magickal tool which performed a number of impressive feats in the battlefield. He was successful uniting the peoples of various continents under one ruler. For the duration of his reign there was peace. However, the King's health was rapidly sapped from the use of his magick tool. It used a lot of his life force to wield the weapon, and his health was deteriorating. It was decided that the successor to the throne would be the first to acquire a magickal tool from a dungeon similar to the one the 'Phoenix Blade' was found in. A remarkable feat considering the dungeons were crawling with mystical creatures and ghouls. There were 6 heirs, spanning a wide rang of ages. The oldest was 21 while the youngest was an infant. Obviously the two youngest were ineligible to participate: 1 and 8 respectively.

Isidoral was one of the heir's to successfully capture a dungeon and acquired the 'Wolf Fang' blade. An ornate sword which not only improved his evasive maneuvers in battles, but rose his speed and granted him the ability to call upon canines for assistance. Upon his return from the dungeon, he was advised that two of his siblings weren't as lucky. The young prince delayed his return to the palace and opted to go venture into the dungeons where his other siblings were last seen, in hopes of rescuing them before it was too late. It inadvertently allowed him hone his skills with the weapon.

    14. Briefly describe your entry's concept:
Pictured is a throne made primarily of redbud wood and shells. The wood is all from my yard, and the shells have all been collected over the years by my mother and I. To set the tone, here's a story:

Tales are told of a boy who wanted nothing more than to become chief of his little tribe deep in the frozen wastes. Desperate to prove his worth, the boy spends years collecting every bit of wood, leather, and shell he can find in his supposedly desolate homeland, and builds a beautiful throne from which he yearns to lead his people to a better life. Whether or not he will succeed remains to be seen...

    15. Briefly describe your entry's concept:
At the beginning of every day, as head priestess she must call the worshipers into the temple. She stands outside the grand hall and slowly rings the ancient gong, its long ringing tone carrying far and wide. It may be battered with age, but it's tone still rings true to call in the faithful.

      Materials used:

      - Twine
      - A single tiny brad
      - Cotton ball
      - Aluminum drink can

    19. Briefly describe your entry's concept: My doll's character's story revolves around a quest given to her and a few others by the gods to help save the land. One of the items given to them to assist them in that quest is a magical staff that can detect a certain type of danger that they'll have to face during their journey. Since it was the most interesting looking magical artifact from the story, I decided to make that for this challenge. In the story, the staff is made out of a branch from a sacred tree and a magical crystal, and the golden swirl around represents the magic particles that float around it to warn the characters when it detects something.

Materials used: A wooden stick I had lying around, a crystal from a fountain, sparkly golden wire from my mom's craft supplies stash, newspaper, glue, water, acrylic paints and tiny plastic spoons to help hold the crystal in the structure. The main technique used is paper mache.

    21. Briefly describe your entry's concept:

This piece is based heavily upon David Bowie's career, drawing upon three key points:

Firstly and most obviously, I asked myself what would a young starting out David Bowie use to help himself? And the answer was self-explanatory, drawing upon his habit of adopting different personas and the cliched 'chameleon' label the press loved to give him. In keeping with the luck theme I decided to make my doll 13 masks of key personas from throughout Bowie's career, playing on the double-edged sword that Bowie himself saw in the personas that he adopted.

The doll can wear every mask, the majority were made from papier-mache, however there are several Transpa-art masks mixed in as well as a few Worbla masks. The transparent masks directly reference the clear masks of Bowie's own face that were used by the dancers during the Diamond Dogs tour.

The second reference is to an obscure little film that Bowie starred in in the 1960s, called fittingly enough, The Mask. The film dates from Bowies time as a member of Lindsey Kemp's mime-troop; the very first mask in the set of 13 is based upon Bowie's mime make-up in the video. Appropriately enough the plot-line of the film revolves around Bowie's mime character stumbling across a mask in a junk-shop that brings him fame and fortune, slowly taking over his life, and eventually strangling him to death live on stage in front of his adoring audience...

The third and final reference revolves around the suitcase and strange little props that my doll is using to cart the 13 personas around, the suitcase and bizarre sculptures are from the music video Little Wonder, in which a young just-starting-out Bowie wanders lost around New York wearing the Union Jack Coat, massive ruff and carrying the suitcase whilst encountering many strange individuals and objects...

      Materials used:

      Cardboard (old Amazon envelopes),
PVA Glue and newspaper (to make papier mache - for both the masks and the suitcase),
      Worbla,
      Transpa-Art,
      Pheasant Feathers,
      Leather Scraps,
Plaster (to make a mask-form, so that the Worbla heat-process wouldn't cook my doll's head),
      small hinges - decorative

I didn't want the wand to clash too much with my dolls outfit from the first round, so I made sure to not over decorate it. 26. Briefly describe your entry's concept:

Having been on vacation for most of the week i had a single day to finish this gorgeous nature inspired chair. It's inspired also by the fact that while this dolly might be a fancy young man, his connection to his roots is great and that it's an inevidable fact of life that roots are important to one self. Flowers show his need for beauty and fur his want for riches.

Materials used: Greens, sticks, metal thread, fur, hot glue

    28. Briefly describe your entry's concept: I made a shield for my goddess Athena. It is not her regular shield with the gorgon head attached but one she can gift to the people of Athens as a reminder to honour her and to let them know she keeps them safe. The shield shows symbols related to Athena. She is the protector of the people and has created the olive tree. She is the godess of wisdom and associated with the owl and the snake (the owl is her messenger and the snake was left by her to protect the city of Athens). All of these elements I tried to bring together in her shield.

Materials used: worbla black art, thibra, eva foam, gesso, spray paint (gold), mr base white, rub 'n buff black, gold and silver, suede deerskin, glue, hotglue and a gold fake leather trim, rhinestones (2) feathers.

    30. Briefly describe your entry's concept:
      The Pomegranate Throne
      - My doll's outfit is based on Persephone as Queen of the Underworld and a Queen needs a throne as both a symbol of her power and as a place from which she can exercise power. In this case, Persephone has a golden throne, rising tall from the rocks of the Underworld and embellished with jewels, golden flowers and the image of a pomegranate. It also matches her staff of authority which I made as part of the first challenge.

      Materials used:
The rocks are made from papier mache and painted in a mixture of greys. The throne started as cardboard boxes - I built it up in multiple layers for strength and added layers of tape and some more papier mache so it would have a more craggy look then I painted it with gold acrylic paint, using brush strokes to add more texture. While the paint was still wet I added microbeads in 4 colours to make it seem more weathered, add variety and to match the staff. The throne is decorated with papercraft embellishments and rose beads; the chains were leftovers from when I made the crown for the first challenge and the pomegranate disc was made from polymer clay during the first challenge but not used in the outfit. The seat back is formed from 4 wooden skewers, painted gold and wrapped with jewelry wire and beads. The cushion is made from the same fabric and embellishments as my doll's cloak.

    32. Briefly describe your entry's concept:
The mortal realm was far more vast than She had expected and She quickly grew bored with their pinstraight roads and paved walkways. So She called forth Her servants, telling them to bring Her
palanquin so that She may travel the lands of men like a true Queen and at a quicker pace. She would not miss the winding paths of Her kingdom quite as much now that She could gaze at this strange world from behind the silky veils while Her unseen servants carried Her swiftly through woods and villages alike.
Now and then She made them stop.
Now and then someone was invited to join Her.
Now and then She tasted the fruits of this new garden She had found.

      Materials used:

Curtain- and other fabric scraps, two types of twine, wood scraps dug out from the back of the garage, bunch of acrylic paints as represented by the golden tube, a broken bracelet, diode, wires and batterypack from a cosplay project, parchment paper and cardboard... which was white... and I put on a white table so it doesn't really show... but it's there. (an honourable mention goes to my hot glue gun, not pictured as it wasn't necessary but without which this would have been impossible)

    33. Briefly describe your entry's concept: The last few days that she spent with her ailing father she listened to stories of adventure and treasure hunts as well as treasures that he has hidden. He made her promise to sell everything they owned and to set sail on her own adventures and fulfill her destiny. After he was laid to rest she bought a ship and hired a crew and was about to set sail when a trunk was delivered to the dock. The chest was old and had seen better days. The man that delivered it told her to fulfill her destiny she would need the trunk. The trunk has a removable tray which was a perfect spot to keep her maps kept from view.

    43. Briefly describe your entry's concept: Nothing makes you more powerful than your mind--- and maybe weapons. In order to rise to the top and feel all powerful, he falls on a pair of swords, custom created for him. The sheaths rest loosely behind him, providing both comfort and ease to whip out the weaponry when needed. On the sheaths bare a griffin wing and tail print, to match the Griffin silhouette pressed upon the blades.

    44. Briefly describe your entry's concept:

(Well I guess the narrative continues!)

Three years after stumbling into an unearthly adventure that lead her
into the depths of our local galaxy cluster ...

"What do you think about this flying vehicle Morty? I built it out of stuff I found in the garage."

The blue, green LCD light flickers over buttons and wires. She laughs to herself in the cramped quarters of the smallest, cheapest spaceship she could find in the Hexa Nine Dyson sphere. Following yet another episode of abandonment from her partner in galactic crime the girl bbegan to make her own way home. At least she has the first season of Rick and Morty alongside classics like Barbarella and Firefly to keep her company.
Well, what goes better with a spacesuit than a spaceship?! I imagine this is the first spaceship the character would ever buy on her own, something just to get from A to B. It's kind of like a capsule hotel but for long distances in the cosmos.
      Materials used:

A storage bin I wasn't using, old glass bowl, strange plastic toy I bought at a garage sale (ages ago) no idea what its from but it looked cool, (black, purple, gold, grey) paint, dirt (for texture outside), cardboard, wires, fabric, Piece of metal from a broken DIY enterprise spaceship figure, capsule toy containers, old mini christmas lights, tops to some little clear containers, glitter

Emma is an Arbor Elf who lives in the forest canopy with her clan. Traditionally, Arbor elves choose an animal companion which is suited to life in the upper branches of the forest. This creature resembles a long-necked, elaborately feathered bird with a prehensile-tail perfect for life in the trees. Arbor elves and their companions remain closely bonded until their deaths.

      Materials used:
Clay, dyed feathers, wire, gold leaf paint pen, imitation leather, ribbon, adhesive beads, glue
