Esthetics Transparent resin stringing colors?

Someone did one with red and blue to look like veins and arteries, it was cool.
I don't have pictures though. I just remember seeing it and thinking "now that's a fun idea".

 

I'm not an expert and I've never seen it done. But the theory stands that if you dye the elastic carefully without the dye bath being too hot, it shouldn't effect the elastic too badly. Just be sure to rinse it well afterwards so it doesn't stain the inner channel of the doll parts.

 

I believe someone did that with rainbow elastic, it was pretty neat looking. I don't know if they dyed it or found it somewhere. If I can find where I saw it, I'll link it.

 

I've used blue and red elastic inside transparent dolls and it's subtle but definitely visible. I'm actually the person mentioned above, who painted a transparent doll with clear red acrylic paint (she had blue pastel blushing). She had bright blue elastic, which I bought in that colour. You'll find a lot of different colours on ebay, amazon or etsy if you look for round elastic or bungee cord.

 

You can find already colored elastic depending on if you're not too picky about shade and the size needed. I've seen a rainbow of colors on Amazon. And I buy brown or tan elastic to use to string my brown/tan resin dolls. Gonna order some in black to use on my black resin doll as well.
