Hi! I have a question. I find really cool patterns but they are always to big, or human patterns. Is there a way to turn these too big patterns into bjd patterns?
Resizing Human Patterns Pattern Creation from instruction sheet - for fashion dolls Re-sizing Patterns For Your BJD translate a clothing pattern to doll proportions These are all variations on Dale Rae's instructions.

I do not have a printer at home nor a scanner. However, I DO have graph paper, measuring tape and a LOT of sewing experience LOL so I just pretty much recreate the pattern to fit my doll, on the graph paper (often this works much better than using scanners etc to accurately transfer since dolly dimensions are often NOT the same as the human patterns).
I think I might try that too because I don't have a printer at home. Let me know how it works for you and I will try it as soon as I get the graph paper. ameiru
I will sometimes do the pattern alterations on my computer then trace the pattern on a piece of paper. I had to do it recently because my printer ran out of ink.
Dale Rae's instructions are the best out there for scaling down. Her tutorials are very well written with great photos.
