transaction problems with Toccyn - RESOLVED

if you have her address, why don't you do a reverse address search in the white pages for her phone number online? It'll give you the phone number for that address, unless its specifically unlisted, which means you're out of luck anyways.

 

I would try Clarissa Jones then cause with an e-mail account-- it can be any name. But you know for a money order, she needs to present and ID and such.
Like I said-- I have her #-- but chances are-- it won't work out since she has moved. >_>;;

 

I paid $105. >_>;; That money could have gone to a number of things, and now it's gone.

It's been OVER a month. Don't you think OVER a MONTH is long enough???

 

Gosh, this is weird....I know it's probably no comfort to you but I thought she was a really nice and honest person to deal with...

Can you put in a claim with Paypal? I haven't heard you mention that yet... but you may be able to get back your money that way.

Yup, and in my case I used the good ole personal check. That was cashed way back on the 21st. >_<# Unfortunately, I'm not with a bigger bank, so my piddly local bank isn't very helpful in that situation.

 

peach-and-lime, i understand your situation and how you are feelings (and rightfully so!) but i think the message under your name is a bit innapropriate... it just looks like a method of spreading poison, and it doesnt endear you as a victim.

 

Perhaps something is very wrong. None of us have heard from Toccyn since the last time that you did, and I, for one, am worried about her.

I can understand you being upset, though, and I wish she would get in touch with you. But because of the type of person she is, I don't understand why she -wouldn't- have...that's why I'm worried.

 

A business transaction is a business transaction. No matter the circumstances of your life, you're still obligated to finish a transaction. To claim you sent something KNOWING you have not, is fraud. To take money and not send the items, still fraud. If it's a missunderstanding, it can be cleared up easily. If it's not, no matter what the reason...people were still taken for their money. If something DID happen to Toccyn, I'm very sorry. However, it doesn't explain why transactions that were suppose to be settled BEFORE now, are still unsettled. She could have been in a car wreck a week ago and is unable to send emails to people...but that wouldn't explain why items she claimed she sent a month ago are still not at their destination. As someone in this thread said before...one item not arriving on time is one thing, but all three?? If she didn't send them, she need only to admit to it and try to set things right.

Awesome! ^_^ I'm not waiting for goods to arrive, I've been waiting on a 'refund' for several months now. (The situation is a little unusual to explain, but Toccyn did promise that she would pay me back.)

And I do have the impression that the actions you took on the 12th finally got things moving, so thank you!

Now we can start putting these things behind us hopefully. Just hoping now that Enki can get her items.

 

Any damages caused by postal handlings should be reported to the post office. If significant damage was done, you can claim with insurance.

The post mishandling boxes is not the sellers fault- however, the delay in shipping is. The giftcard is, i assume, an apology and a gift for delayed shipping and hassle? I know If I take more than a week to ship out an item I refund shipping. But sometimes I have not been able to get to a post office for two weeks, since the post office is, of course, only open when I'm at work.

Glad you all finally got your items!

 

From the postage shown, it seems insurance wasn't purchased on it.

I still think this should be made a sticky--people should not deal with this seller, as she is clearly untrustworthy and has flat-out LIED on multiple occasions to buyers...

For people who are saying this isn't something serious, or that 'scammer' is an extreme use of the word, it's NOT. Taking someone's money and failing to send an item IS scamming. Lying about a product and lying about when you sent it IS fraud. Buyers should not be criticized for wanting their basic rights given in a transaction where money exchanges hands.

I'm glad you finally got the body, peach-and-lime, good job fully pursuing this.

Err, yeah, and I seem to recall getting that FREE 'gift card' in the mail a week or so ago, myself. Packing box =/= garbage can.

But it's the sellers responsibility to pack the items well, especially when they are big expensive things, like dolls or their bodies

Thank god it came in! I was watching it and hoped it would come in soon. If I ever have a delay in sending off someone's purchase I let them know! Now if Enki can get her things, we'll be set.

Well, it's a year and a few months later but I have finally been refunded by Toccyn.

Here's what happened:

Sept 2006 I sold two Leeke wigs in milk colour. One was sold to Toccyn and the other was sold to another DOA member, we shall call that person "member A"

I shipped both wigs and Toccyn's arrived to the best of my knowledge. Member A contacted me because the wig was lost in the mail. I filed a claim and then went to refund her. I accidentally refunded the wrong person, since I just looked at the item, not the person's name. I just saw "milk Leeke wig" and I thought that was the right one. So I refunded Toccyn. I got in contact with her and asked her to please send the payment again. I know it was totally my fault for making the mistake but I was hoping that she'd pay me back since she got her product. She said she would pay me. I never heard from her again.

Recently, a friend of mine who is on another forum contacted me because apparently Toccyn is back in the hobby and wanted to make amends for the problem transactions she was a part of. My friend forwarded my info to Toccyn who got in contact with me IMMEDIATELY. Toccyn told me that she wasn't in a good place back then and she wants to fix the problem. She was extremely sweet and very apologetic. She sent me a money order for the outstanding balance later that day! I can't believe how quickly she worked to refund me. I must say that the new and improved Toccyn was an absolute joy to deal with. To me she has completely redeemed herself.

I told her I would leave positive feedback to mark our transaction as resolved, but she said she wouldn't be able to buy or sell in the marketplace with a clear conscience. I'm sure it will be hard for some people to trust her, but she really has made a drastic improvement in my eyes.

More than anything, I'm glad that there's one less unresolved transaction here on the forum. ^_^

 

She's talked about what happened to her in another fourm. It sounds like she is doing a lot better now.
