Tracy Promber Gertie discussion part 1

Here's my Gertie! Her name is Ruby, I think she's adorable.

Gertie has been driving me crazy for the past couple of weeks! I am so on the fence about getting her.

Since she is in between MSD and SD size - are there ready made clothes that fit her?

 

protoplanet, she can wear MSD clothes, in that photo she is actually wearing a Dollheart jacket, and a dress that Virginia made for KW MSD size. She is not that far off body wise. I have also had her in Volks MSD stuff.

 

Thank you, Stella Maris! I wish I could just make a decision already! I saw a picture of Gertie with Kaitie and Bea and they looked adorable together.

If you don't mind my asking - did you love her the first time you saw her or did she grow on you?

 

I actually loved her the first time I saw her, but I admit I was a bit taken aback by her features, which is often a good sign for me. She's got a very intense look about her, very Eastern European, like a young Barbra Striesand. Someone whose features are so pronounced that you don't see her beauty at first, but the more you look, the more beautiful she is. Does that make sense? Sort of like Connie's dolls (which I see you like). When I first saw Eppie I thought, blergh! what the...of course now I have one, and one incoming.
I also love how solid she is, she really can stand right out of the box, and sits up very nicely. Here in this picture she is actually standing on one foot

They are all so cute Tracy.

 

finaly I found something..just got a Gertie and she is amazing,need to find her her look..only problem with her is that one magnet was glued in wrong..you have any tips on how to solve that..her head cap keeps pupping off.

 

spikelover, are both magnets in there or did one come out?

 

both are in,the on ein front is okay but the one in the back is glued in wrong ,so know the head wont close..I had people saying I should boil the head cap in water or put in the freezer,it would pup out...but I think that the resin will be damaged with that.

 

I think Gertie is adorable but I missed her. But I was able to order Kaitie. I love her. I think she is so sweet. I can hardly wait.

 

I've never acquired Gertie but I do have several other Tracy Promber dolls........Lee Lee, Bea, Jenna, Tia, Jesse and have Bree on preorder.

 

I'd really like to see more pictures of all the girls.. Could the title be changed to include them all?
