I just bought a head from another member and I'm a little lost with the tracking number.... How do I track it? Via EMS, USPS? I've tried a few methods and I keep getting that no reference exists. I want to make sure I'm not doing this completely wrong before asking her to verify the tracking number. Any help?
You can try this link, you need a 13 character trackingnumber. You need to check the postservice of the country the parcel is send from originally. http://www.coliposte.net/gp/services/accueil_gp.jsp
That one works, thanks so much. I think it's telling me the package entered customs is the United States, so that means it's not too far away at all. I was trying TrackTrace before and nothing shows up there, for whatever reason... I'm not sure why though, it's always worked before when I've tracked things sent internationally.
yeah a lot of times the tracking doesnt show up for a few days. I bought Delphine from Milka (sorry if i spelled your username wrong) and she said as well as history .. it will take a few days to show up... then it usually goes to your regular post office afterwards.
It's been seven days. It just wasn't working with the US site. Who knows why. But it worked on the French site.
I've found with the USPS site that untill the registered item actually clears customs it wont show-up... by which time its usually en-rount to your mailbox anyways
That's so weird. XD The French site is now saying it was delivered. So I need to call up my land lady and see if she's holding it for me, USPS is good about not leaving stuff laying around in the lobby if the offices are open. But.. Still no update on the USPS website... Boggles the mind. o___0
Hello! I'm wondering if anyone here has any experiance recieving a package sent from France to the US. If so, how long did it take? and if it was trackable, where did you track it? I have a tracking number that looks like: CC(9 numbers)FR. I tried looking at the USPS tracking site but they have no record of it, and it was shipped a week ago today. I'm not 100% sure how it was shipped, the seller said somthing about it being sent "letter" because the parcel was too small.
That may be a normal registered, you need to ask the seller for their local post website and where to put the code. Usually when I ship to the US (I'm not french but its still Europe after all) it takes almost the same time than inside Europe, sometimes it may take up to two weeks depending on how its handled there. Hope it helped edit: I think I've found the site, look here http://www.laposte.com/Companies-operating-in-France/Sending-mail/Track-and-trace-mail or here http://www.courrier-suivi-export.laposte.fr/webapp-primeweb/
Thank you so very much. The second link recognized the number but it said "Il n'y a pas de suivi pour cet objet" which google translates to "There is no tracking for this object" (-_-);; I guess I'll just wait for another week or so before I start worrying.
Sounds like the French equivalent of standard international mail, based on those letters. I've shipped quite a few things back and forth to France, most recently about a month ago. Items can take up to 3-4 weeks to arrive, based on my personal past experiences. The tracking # you have won't update like EMS. It acts more like international delivery confirmation, with an origin scan (if that, sometimes I've had that get skipped) and then an "out for delivery" type scan when it is in your area. Though, I have also had the # not update at all and the package just how up at my house one day.
Packages sent from France usually use Colissimo International, as it's the only trackable option available at a decent price. You can keep track here : http://www.colissimo.fr/portail_colissimo/suivre.do?m=10003005 but it shows only one step at a time. It can take one or two days before things start moving after packages have been left at the post office. Packages are usually delivered within one-two weeks. I heard the US postage services are more annoying these days to foreign packages so there can be delays in delivery, but it's not just from France. Now some countries sometimes change the original tracking number along the way, without notification, so you can lose track. It didn't happen to me recently though, and I shipped quite a lot overseas these past months. There is another, cheaper shipping option called "international letter" without any tracking number or insurance, and this can also take longer to reach the destination.
