Tokyo Dolpa 34 ~ 2015/12/20

Hey! I'm planning on going this year too, and it will also be my first ^^ I've always watched videos of these events and have always wished to go, and hopefully if everything goes well, I'll finally be able to be there myself

I keep checking back for more info as well, but it seems the guidebooks (entry tickets) won't be available until November, so we've got time! And according to my knowledge, this Dolpa would be a joint festival along with Hobby Round, so its awesome for those who bring their partners along who may not be interested in dolls per se but the collector planes and figures and such, although I hope this doesn't mean bigger denser crowds and longer lines ^^;

 

Hi. I've also never attended a bjd convention however, I'm also planning to go to Dolpa this December. I'm kind of scared of the intensity and the amount of people attending but am super interested in the vendors section. My girls need cute clothes... ｡ﾟ(´つω･`｡)ﾟ｡

I placed my order for the tickets two days ago!! Anyone got any from the pre-orders yet? The dolpa is sooo close!!

Dolpa 34 dolls … another Black Jack, Dr. Kiriko, DearSD Megu, DearSD Mimi, DD Rin Tohsaka version 2, a new DD idol master.

 

Oh, i must say the christmasy outfits are really pretty this time round. I do hope they have nice one-offs on site!

 

After looking at the scans again, I think the DearSD are going to be ballot entries with a drawing at noon? And then they will be offered at the 4th anniversary of Tenshi no Mado Feb 12, 13, 14 and 28. Which means they likely won't be at in the after event. That includes the BtssB outfit.

 

Lucky me, it is Young BJ which is not as dear to me as the original BJ. I shall not have to sweat it.... I want one of the Baby Stars Shine Bright Outfit

This year one would need to buy 2 booklets to be able to enjoy dolpa fully - entry at 10am, lottery tickets etc.

 

I tried resisting the pre-order for BlackJack however I think I'm going to snatch him during Dolpa. I really want the collabo version... *cries Does anyone know how does it work in terms of buying/pre-ordering(?) dolls during Dolpa? From what I searched online it seems like they sell dolls on site but through lottery..? I couldn't find a site that explains the system of the event..

I prefer the first versions of Black Jack too. I'm kinda kicking myself for not ordering the Black Jack. But maybe they will have left overs at the store from people who didn't pay or maybe they made a few extras?

I think that Btssb outfit is going to be for Tenshi no Mado only in February. Part of the 4th Anniversary fair which makes sense since Mado is in Harajuku.

Volks keeps changing the system about the dolls. The first set of Blackjack was preorder. These new guys will likely be lottery. They may or may not be available to buy at Dolpa. It might be a lottery before or after Dolpa. It's hard to say. I think the guidebooks will have more information when people pick them up tomorrow from Volks. Hopefully there will be an online lottery for them for the international market. There usually is.

 

Do the guidebooks contain the list of vendors that will attend the event?

 

Yes they do. They also have a list of items from Volks for sale/lottery. Plus a map of the layout. Volks will update the website with info including a dealer list so you can look online before hand. You can also use your guidebook for Bingo, one off tickets, etc … Bingo is easy to play even if you don't speak Japanese. I think there is some other games like question game to fill in the right answer and then hand it in. I think part of it, you play at Dolpa and part is done before?

My shipment with my tickets and guidebook has shipped I'm so psyched!! I also got a carrier in khaki, so I will be sporting that at Dolpa

 

What a shame! I'll be leaving Tokyo on the 14th so I'll be missing it :< I hope you all have loads of fun though!

As a side note: anyone have cool BJD places to visit in Tokyo? I have one MNF one LTF and one Withdoll if that helps size wise :P If you want, DM me so the conversation stays on Dollpa

Going to Tokyo in about two weeks so I'll be going to this Dolpa. A dream come true!
Just got the guidebook/tickets, and it looks great. I understand nothing of what it says, but Maybe someone here could help?
I would like to know how as much as possible!

 

For this Dolpa, you need 2 things to enter - the Guidebook (1500 yen) and the admission pass (1000 yen). Make sure you have both! The guidebook gets you into the event early, dealer list, ballot entry, bingo card, etc … and the admission lets you get in to the venue.

Got the admission pass and guidebooks already, just can't read japanese XD

My husband was very happy for it to be joint festival and not just Dolpa only (especially after seeing a Votoms on the map of the ticket). I was hoping to get at least one doll during my trip, and if there is any possibility of getting a DearSD or One-off at Dolpa that would be awesome! I don't have hight hopes though, seeing as they've changed the way these things work now...

The theme is Christmas (obviously :P)! Although its not out yet, there will be info on the one-offs and other activities soon! Yesterday I've been hunting down people from the dealer list section of the guidebook, and marking the ones I NEED to visit first! There are so so many talented seamstresses, my wallet is crying just thinking about it xD
There's only two weeks until the event, and I need to pass a hurdle of finals before then, but I'm so excited

 

I'm buying my tickets tomorrow! Haha but I'm a bit hesitant going by myself.

 

Anyone ready for tomorrow/today? I still have jet lag so I'm awake and figuring out all the booths I must visit first so I don't miss out on the awesome stuff

 

You're all so lucky And I'm here stuck at work. Btw, just in case there's another event in Tokyo, can I buy the ticket on the day of the event or am I suppose to pre-order that thing?

 

They used to offer guidebooks at the door but I'm not sure if they still do. You would have to grab them at a Sumika or order them online before the event. Usually they have the books at the Sumikas even the day before.
