Tokyo Dolpa 33

On their twitter i think they showed what they are releasing for dolpa 33, if I'm correct... sd16 ami ayase, yo-sd tenshi una, and two tokyo boys yo-sd? And of course the DDs

I wonder about the US dolpa too... I'm nervous about what that'll be since i dunno if I'm going or not xD

OMG OMG NOWAAAAAYYYY! It's Chibi Shiro & Tsukasa time!!!
And oh I am such an ogre but my first reaction is I am so facking bummed that Shiro doesn't have his classic v1 outfit on. But oh man, I knew this day would arrive.... Now must go scrounge for dolpa info!

PS. How do you find any information on Volks's Twitter? It's such a mess I wouldn't know where to click to find out the DP33 info.

 

Need a little help? O: I have the current issue of Volks News with the info on all the releases. I'm just lazy so I haven't taken photos and stuff of the pages yet ^^;;;;

reitaism, Yo-Tenshi Una would be for Sato's 11th Anniversary event and 'Romantic Glance' Kasumi too.

 

Ah yes, there was something on YoTenshi Una. But she's not part of DolPa 33 She's part of another event at Tenshi no Sato, along with the Bisque Kasumi.

But I can't believe they put them in their school uniform outfits, instead of their original classic Tokyo Boy outfits. I was dyyying to see them do a tiny leather biker jacket.

And I can't believe that now I have to find shelf-space for TWO more gnomes... : Maybe the Yo contingent can live in the kitchen. I'll upholster a box of Lucky Charms for them. Is it too early for a Dolpa 33 thread yet? *bounce*

My kanji reading skills are still low so I can't read what exactly it says. ^^;; but the boys and Ami aren't part of the AE event schedule.

 

I'm so excited to have another chance at the Blue Balloon Dress Set! I always regreted having missed out on it at Volks USA due to traffic making me a minute late to pull for a number to line up XD Really tempted by the MSD Pink one as well~

Correct me if I'm wrong,it roughly says that in regards to DP33 limited sd16 girl ayase ami, yosd tachibana shiro, yosd konoe tsukasa, other than DP venue itself, the other sales date, time and method, please wait for it to be announced at volks storefront and official website after DP ended.

So that they saying the details of the AE will be announced on volks website after dolpa33 event ended. Hope it helps!

 

Whew! : So "other methods" still TBA, but they won't announce it until the Dolpa itself is over.... I hope I can wait that long without squirming out of my skin. ^^ I guess I will just have to!

Yes-- my Yo-Isao has been not-so-patiently waiting for his BFFs to come along! Tokyo Boys always travel in packs, after all. :3

I must say, it is nice to hear that Volks has come such a long way, by actually attending American conventions now.... Back when Dollectable was the only BJD con in the country, we always invited them but they never ever ever accepted our invitations (and that was when they had the LA storefront going on, too). And now they're even going to Comicons? Brave new world! ^^ It will be great to finally get to go to another Dolpa again. I haven't been to one since the last NYC Dolpa, and I miss getting to meet all the fine DOA Volks fans from all across the country.

I'm going, I'm going! and I've been to DolPa 32 last time. Unfortunately, because I got ill (a migraine hit me in the middle of the event), I wasn't 100% able to enjoy, but it gave me a lot of insight to what to do the next time I go XD Here are some tips for you:

1. Bring water and snacks! Especially if you'll be lining up early for entrance/the limited items. That was my first mistake and the one thing I noticed about everyone in line. I saw a few people with a whole grocery bag of food. And a lot just brought a bento box and a bottle of water. No food is available in the venue. And sometimes, there is no food close by the venue outside of vending machines.

2. Bring a picnic mat. It's weird advice, I know, but it's also a strangely common thing I saw! If people weren't able to secure a table (either by renting one or claiming a free one early), they camp out around the perimeter of the event on picnic mats like during hanami. When I started turning really ill, I was glad a friend with a rented table found me and let me rest at their spot. The picnic mat will let you rest freely when you need to eat and stuff but not want to leave the venue.

3. If you want limited items, you definitely need to be at Tokyo Big Sight before 9am. I arrived at around 8ish and the lines were already pretty big! I got number 305 in the entrance line. However, being early doesn't mean you get a better chance at the limiteds. You still have to draw the lottery for a place in the final queue.

4. Stay until the end for the bingo game. it's worth it!

5. Whenever you're in trouble, there's English-speaking staff at the venue. Native speakers, too! They're also really helpful about other things (like I asked them about my friend's problems with paying for a DD Miku she preordered and they were very accommodating.)

ladyshi, decadentarisu, I'm going with some friends as well. It would be my 6th Dolpa in Japan. I can not agree that there is no food around in Tokyo Big Sight. Sometimes there is food carts at the Dolpa, plus there is always a limited amounts of bentos, and there are cafes/restaurants at the second floor of Tokyo Big Sight.

You could check our blog, though we didn't post all of them somehow yet....

 

Maybe I just had bad timing when my friend and I looked around for food during the last DolPa. The only thing opened when we went around was a Family Mart on the second floor. Then again, that was my first DolPa in Japan. XD; I'm sure my experience during this one will be different.

 

That sounds so exciting and fun, I didn't get to attend dolpa in Japan before despite visiting there quite a few times. I hope I can make a trip down esp for dolpa with fellow doll owners in the near future

I wouldn't have thought to do that with the snacks, lunch and picnic blanket! Water I always take with me when I'm on holiday just in case, but I rarely remember to bring snacks let alone lunch ^_^;

Yeah, there is a pretty good number of English speaking staff at DolPa. it really surprised me.

I wasn't able to win something at the bingo game, but I saw people win all kinds of things from it, including Dollfie Dream Sasara. XD

 

oh man, Ami Ayase's envelop purseeeeee!!!!! I would pay hefty price for that alone...yup. I'm not a big fan of SD16 girls but Ami is just. so. pretty.

 

ladyshi, I guess is there was only one thing to mention: the most important one, don't go alone, the bigger the group is the better, if you are alone the chances for pretty much everything are tiny.
As for lunch that are plenty of chose, we do bring some food for the morning while standing in line, basically because we don't have time for any breakfast in the morning If you would need some specific drink that is not really common at stores, then definitely bring the drink even for lunch. The food at the bentos and at the cafes is not really great, but it's ok.

 

I just got my guide book in the mail today!

I hope they made 'em happy-looking enough to match up with Chibi Icchan. In the SD13 versions, Isao was the most serious-looking one of the three; but Yo-Isao has a grin like a madman.

I thought I didn't want any dolls from this Dolpa but chibi Tsukasa has been growing on me. Hopefully, after not winning anything on the past two AEs, my luck will be better this round.

 

I'll be attending this one as well!! I was wondering if there'd be any SDgr girls this round around to steal my heart, but I think Ami's taken it already.... I really fell for her when I saw her the first time! I'll be cheering everyone on and trying to get into That Line!

This morning I had fits of despair , before I remembered they had yet to announce whether or not they'd offer the Tokyo Yos at the AE. And they haven't even announced the AE date yet, either, have they.

The AE date was already up on Volks News. It's on May 30. The only thing undecided was about Ami Ayase and the two Yo boys being part of it.

Meanwhile, I have just returned from Tokyo. That was quite a whirlwind adventure! There were three of us friends in the limited items line. But only one of us got lucky! But thanks to that number, we were able to go home with the dolls we wanted. XD It was a good thing all three of us wanted different things. I got the two Yo boys. My other friend got Ami and Sinon. The other one just got the Mikazukin dress set. XD

i decided to buy the miku outfit yesterday , won for 27,900 yen without all the extra fromjapan fees... i have a bad feeling i wont be able to win it in the AP so paid double.
