How cute! She makes me think slightly of unoas. X3 Personally, I can't find anything wrong with her profile, I love her lips, and so far, I think you're doing a great job. ^_^

 

Excellent job so far! I'll be watching her progress with interest.
And your draftsmanship is very fine, by the way.

*edit* Regarding the Mr. Surfacer question you have in your signature: Mr. Surfacer is a brush on or spray on coating with a grit in it. It comes in 500, 1000 or 1200 grit. It's used to coat over pinholes and inconsistencies for a smooth, even surface. The surfacer is sanded with waterproof sand paper, and the finer grit allows a more perfect surface, from what I understand. I've never used it myself.

The 14 mm do look much better (and I am quite partial to the color..) That head is gorgeous! How long have you been working on this? I want to sculpt a head myself...any advice on materials to use and how to begin? (as you can tell, I'm fairly new to this..) I can't wait to see more pics! :3

*edits* Sorry my PC screwed up and I made a double post. Those 14mm eyes I think are the best, I love that colour!

 

I find that all blank dollfie heads look flat and mask-like though when unpainted. I think painting it up a little, even in Photoshop is you don't want to paint the actual thing with make you think differently on her head.
I still think it's lovely~

 

I totally agree. Once you get her painted up, she'll look much better (and thanks for answering my questions btw..) Still not a bad sculpt for a first try! I only hope I'll do half as well.

did you sanded it with very fine sandpaper? for my dolls head I used 5 different kinds of sandpaper and had no fibers.

 

you can use Mr. White Surfacer 1000 Spray or Bottle or both and use several types of sandpaper going from tough grade to fine grade for smoothness

 

That's amazing!! What a wonderful face she has... and on the body with the wig? fabulous.

I wonder... in the picture you have where you're showing her teeth, it looks as though one side of her upper lip is bigger than the other. Is that really the case, or am I seeing a lighting artifact?

At any rate, she's wonderful.
