Tips on places to host nudes photography?

Feb 8, 2007

    1. In a lot of my stories, my doll will have nudies, and photobucket doesn't like nude doll bums/peenies it seems. Are there any free hosting places that are easy to use and alow for doll nudity??

I wasn't sure where else to post this >_>

      Thanks :D

    2. You should probably find someone who owns their own domain to host stuff like that. I don't think there are too many free hosts that let you unless the whole nature of the site was porn related (there are free porn hosts out there btw)

    3. It helps a bit if you keep your photobucket album private and not public, since they're just like ebay - they use other customers' complaints to flag things for blocking. It also helps to not put in any description of the pix with any words that might trigger any automated checking software. I have had a number of pix with doll resin comparison pix, aka, nekkid dollies, on there for months. But nobody sees my album directly, only through individual picture links here.

    4. Flickr. That's www dot flickr dot com You can always mark your work as "adult only" if you're concerned about prissy do-gooders getting you banned.

(ya know, I saw the other day that someone had an eBay auction pulled because they had a picture of a nude doll, when they were selling (get this) a NUDE DOLL. The utter utter stupidity of someone who complains about a nude doll image is beyond my comprehension.)

    5. Yeah, and the approach of all these places is to delete first, don't answer any emails afterwards. I once had a cel auction pulled from ebay because the description mentioned it was from a hentai OAV. Meanwhile, the cel was just a girl in a schoo uniform, walking.

I didn't know flckr gave that option. Interesting!

    6. I forgot flickr has that option.. I'll keep that in mind Thanks!

    7. Oh Flickr pwns, as the youngsters say. Or used to say. I dunno, I just post pictures there.

    8. I'm sorry - but these are dolls we're talking about? How on earth can a nude doll be considered "adult photography"?? It's just a piece of plastic!

    9. maybe cause they can be very realistic sometimes

    10. It's still plastic. I could take an erotic photo of some apples, but it's still just some apples. I sometimes wonder at how these online photo album companies can get away with such stupidity. I mean really, it's absurd.

    11. I'm sorry, I have to say this. They're resin! Not plastic D:

    12. Yes, you're right. Vinyl, resin, plastic, polymer...but it's still not human flesh. I just can't get around that "adult photography" thing when it comes to manufactured materials without actual life in them.

    13. barbie has no nipples and has permanent panties on, and ken doesn't even have a bulge anymore. so there are obviously a lot of people who are against doll nudity. I'm not one of them but "nudity is nudity" as far as a lot of people are concerned. They won't even tread the lines or artistic vs. sexual, anything that is nude on photobucket and gets reported gets deleted. end of story :/

    14. Some people are just so stuck up. ;) I even heard of someone who got embarassed by seeing (nude) ancient Greek statues. :thumbup Way to go...

In any case, I would recomment Flickr and make the photos only visible to friends. You can still post them on DoA that way, they just don't show up in public searches.

    15. There's a person here who does the most wonderful "cheesecake" shots with his girl dolls. Very classy, but very hot as well. He's on deviantart and they have adult markers too.

Lol, you do know we live in a world where a group complained about the "life-sized" Star Wars Jar-Jar Bink dolls, because kids were "using them for self-gratification" and that it was obviously a formal plot to corrupt children! Just stay below the busybody "click-a-button-to-report" radar!

I'll have to look into Flickr too!

    16. You can post any kinds of photos you want here of your dolls.

    17. Try Livejournal. Get a Livejournal Sponsored account (free) and they give you-- I think-- a gigabyte of space to host photos. Livejournal is almost always up (when it's down, people go nuts) and you can hotlink and everything. You can also create galleries.

And you get a Livejournal to boot. :D

    18. Or pay for a livejournal, get more space for photos and no ads! I hate lj ads :...(

    19. Yeah, I have a paid account so... whoohoo for two gigabytes of space. :D And thirty icons. Pretty sweet.

    20. Even cosplay.com has this rule for the photo galleries:
      4. Photos must be PG-13 or less. No nudity allowed.

    21. I've been using LJ for pics--it's really easy and cuts out a step when I post pics to LJ. I was so excited when I found out they would store pics.
