TinyFox Vinyl Dolls

Someone was talking about them in the last pages of the OT figures and dolls thread. They are a DollZone sister company. I also wish they had international dealers, but I don't believe that's going to happen anytime soon. The person showing their doll on that thread, purchased one of the full sets through a shopping service, and was highly recommending them (if I recall correctly). I really want their blank heads, and bodies, they are super adorable. (:

I have a soft spot for DollZone, and anime so I would also love to get a few of their blank heads and bodies, but not if it's an ordeal. I've never purchased from shopping agents, but I have heard only good things about jeeryama, so I might try asking them, if all else fails. I hope more people show their Tinyfox dolls and customized versions, once they see this thread exists. (:

 

Gonna happily sit in this thread because I’ve been watching Tinyfox for a bit and the ONLY thing stopping me was the lack of a darker colour.

I have to wait a bit longer for funds, but you bet I’m getting a toffee doll!

@Enzyme Jeeryama is pretty good! I’m not the biggest fan of the markup she puts on, it’s definitely among the highest fees in terms of taobao agents. For example I tried her for taobao lately and the fees on a $250 order made it $300. But on the other hand, she’s a great and trustworthy dealer. If you don’t mind paying a bit more than other agents, she’s a good choice.

 

@nattherat, thanks for the info on jeeryama. I have seen her on eBay since DollZone became a well-known BJD maker, but I never purchased BJD from eBay. I was thinking it would be safe to ask her on there, because making an account on Taobao kind of scares me (I don't want to use a shopping service either). I was hoping one of the larger BJD dealers would start carrying TinyFox once enough people start getting an interest on them, but that might not happen soon (enough). I'm probably still going to try asking jeeryama through ebay, since she was the authorized DZ dealer on there (I haven't checked in years, so maybe she's not selling on eBay anymore).

I'm excited about these dolls nonetheless, they are small enough (and inexpensive), to be pretty close to perfect for me. (:

 

There was actually a TinyFox Doll up on New Clover Singing, which I believe is run by the same ebay seller you mentioned. I have her on layaway right now.
It's possible she might put more dolls up in the future if enough people show interest?

Here she is! I can already tell she's gonna be one of my go-to dolls for dragging to meetups, since she's more portable than my DDs and not as fragile as my resin babies.

 

I also got an Tinyfox doll!
I got her a customized faceup by Shines workshop.
I wanted her to look like an anime character that I like ( Chii from Chobits).
I was also pleasantly surprised how good the quality is even though she doesn't cost that much.

 

I just put in to buy one of these. I got the 1/6th painter from Clover Singing I love this scale of dolls, and they look very poseable! I can't wait for it to arrive. I have been looking at photos on IG but would love to see more.

 

I have Tinyfox's Kirara. She's super cute, but one issue is the wig that came with this set is very difficult to keep on. Overall though I love her!

 

The silicone wig cap definitely helps a bit, but I think the wig might just be missing a bit of elastic or something. Overall with the head dress it stays on so not a deal breaker. Love the faceup on your dolls! They look sooo good!

 

I never got an invoice from NCS so I checked my order and it was cancelled with no notice I emailed and got response back that the doll is sold out, so I am not getting Painter It would have been nice to have been notified the order was cancelled, but on a positive note I was able to find someone selling a different TinyFox doll on IG and she should be here hopefully Friday

 

These are cute I don’t know much about them but they’re cute! The photo of the one with the black hair and tan sweatshirt reminds me of a character from Peanuts or Scooby Doo! LOL! So cute!

 

She emailed me back and said TinyFox told her they sold out so she removed the listing. I guess my trying to buy is what promted it (her contacting them)? I can't be sure.
I actually got my girl today, I was surprised because she wasn't supposed to be here until tomorrow and USPS has been delivering things late so it was a nice surprise! I really like her a lot. Her vinyl is SO soft and I love how poseable she is. Pictures in the spoiler

She is adorable!! These might make it on my list of future wants! LOL! How soft is their vinyl compared to the vinyl of Volks DD? How tall are they and are they all the same size or are there diff sizes?

 

She is much softer, I can't even explain it. This one is 1/6th scale but they also have 1/4 size. Here is a comparison photo I took with my Minifee and my Atelier Momoni pitusa and one with an OMG and Atelier Momoni pitusa. I am not sure if that will help but I can also get one of her next to a MH doll if you want.

What is that doll with the rainbow wig is that the Minifee? This is a dangerous site I see a lot of things I’m liking.

I got mine second hand on Instagram. There is a site that sells them, but right now she only has two of the 1/4 dolls to preorder. If you know how to use Taobao you can order direct from the company. I cannot get Taobao to work for me so I went to the New Clover Singing website and preordered a 1/4 doll but apparently they sold out so my order was cancelled. I think you just have to keep checking her site weekly or monthly and hope to catch a preorder on there. Otherwise you would have to look for sales on IG or FB.

 

She is absolutely adorable and thank you for sharing your experience buying one. I tried to buy a Tinyfox doll just now, but the one I wanted is sold out per the agent that I spoke with...I'm not sure how to order one at this point because all of them appear sold out

 

Thanks for the info 0bsequi0us! I will be stalking their new English shop like a hawk, I love their beautiful dolls but I'm more interested in their blank heads and bodies than a full-set. I hope they'll add those to their shop as well. I am not a fan of going through a TaoBao agent. DX

 

Ohh I'm glad they have a English storefront now! Seeing the prices though, it seems to be marked up by $100. I guess it can't be helped. I hate the extra hassle of working through a shopping service.

 

And they charge at least another $100 for shipping and service... If you don't want to use a Taobao shopping service, I'd suggest buying through Clover Singing/Christina, she charges way less than Tiny Fox's international site, plus she offers free shipping! I got two through her and am waiting for two more!

 

Hihi! I'm hoping to get a Tiny Fox doll to represent my FFXIV lalafell character soon. I'm hoping to get her on the new body that's unreleased as of now, but it looks totally amazing.

I didn't intend to get a vinyl doll, but the sculpt (and if I'm being honest, the price) was perfect for me.

I don't have any experience with vinyl dolls, so I was wondering if they were any different from resin BJDs in terms of head swapping with a body? I've been looking at pictures, and I don't think they are attached using rings.

Just ordered a Yi sort of on impulse since she was in stock but oh man she's so cute. ;o; Still deciding how much of her default design I'll keep because I really do love her faceup and general aesthetic.

 

These would be perfect for lalafell! I'm waiting on that new 1/6 body, too. They seem to have problems keeping up with demand, which I hope is a good thing? I want to see as many and as varied vinyl companies as resin, not just Volks DD and Parabox/Obitsu.

Head swapping works similar to resin, instead of an S hook and string there's a peg held in place by either friction or a flange that you can remove.

DollDreaming is focused on vinyl the way DoA is focused on resin, so it's a great resource for info on vinyl dolls.

Yi is really cute! Tinyfox's default faceups have so much personality to them. I wonder if they'll do more fairytale-themed sets in future, because Yi is a really cute non-Disney-fied Snow White, lol. A Sleeping Beauty or Frog Prince set could be really nice.

Oh, thank you!! I'll have a look at Doll Dreaming. Lately, I've just been browsing Instagram and getting myself hyped for my girl. They're soooo adorable!

So far, I've only seen the blank heads and bodies available on their taobao store. I live in Asia, so I just know that I'd be super tempted to snag a full set if I ever saw any come in stock. (Really bad news for my wallet.)

 

They have an upcoming girl that's seems to be inspired by Red Riding Hood!

I was able to resist these cuties for so long, then I went to a doll convention last weekend and saw them in person. I now have a 1/4 doll on the way.

The faceup on the 1/4 Koimi was too beautiful to resist. I'll probably end up selling basically everything else that comes with her, but the wig is kinda growing on me. I've been looking for a good model so I can finally start making animetic eyes as well, but I wasn't a fan of how the Dollfie Dream and Mini Dollfie Dream bodies look (yes, they'll be clothed but I'LL KNOW what it looks like hahaha). I'm a big fan of how smooth the Tinyfox bodies look like in comparison. After tax and shipping, this doll cost me just under $400 from the international site. It looks like the waiting period is 3-6 months, so I'll report back with photos then. :d In the meantime, time to shop for clothes!!

I ordered Koimi's (aka Koi-Chun) sister, Koi-Jian back in October 2021 for under $200 from Clover Singing. (She offers free shipping and almost always has a discount coupon of either $10 or $15, you just have to email her to get the code.) Koi-Jian should ship soon as my other two 1/4 Tiny Fox girls from Clover Singing shipped at around 4 months.

I currently have Naya (swimsuit girl, the 1st 1/4) and Yi (Snow White). And am waiting for Koi-Jian, Fox Fairy (which is 1/6), Rita (puppy girl) and just added Anna (Red Riding Hood, shame she won't come with the weapons and boots in her promo pics) to the list.

Personally, I kind of prefer DD bodies as they are lighter and easier to manipulate. Tiny Fox bodies are heavier (my 1/4 ones weigh around the same as resin dolls their size) and stiffer. Tiny Fox have double arm joints but you need to heat up the joint in order to pull that double joint out... and to heat it again to push it back in. This isn't the case with DD. But DDs are also prone to loose joints with arms and legs easily falling off so...

So far, my 1/4 girls seem to be able to wear MDD sized clothing. They can't share wigs as Tiny Fox heads are way smaller. DD/MDD can sort of use Tiny Fox eyes if you're fine with the smaller iris look, but Tiny Fox can't really use eyes for DD/MDD especially because they have molded eye sockets inside their heads to let you install their eyes without having to use any blu-tack. I guess you could use DD/MDD eyes if you sand off that socket?

 

I don't know what sculpt mine actually is since I got him second hand off facebook and the seller didn't know for sure either but he's so stinkin cute and I love him! (He's a YOSD size instead of their 1/4)

Oh I had no idea it was discontinued! That is pretty lucky xD He's definitely one of my favorites even if he's not a strung doll. I love how sturdy he is with poses.

Just saw on Clover-Singing's twitter that TinyFox is currently selling 1/6 heads with faceup and 1/6 outfits till 30 April.

Not sure what bodies you can hybrid them with, but I did see this video where someone was able to hybrid a 1/6 TinyFox head with a 1/6 Xagadoll body.

 

I'm so happy to see this thread as I have one Tiny fox YOSD sized girl on the way, but was having a hard time finding a whole lot of information on them. Seeing the positivity makes me super excited for when she arrives!

So far, I think I'm going to start with a YoSD (they're just so stinking adorable!) with plans to get an MSD later.

 

The yosd ones are so cute! Maybe someday... I do have a msd girl though. I bought her body secondhand and ordered a head from Janesdolland. She is currently blank and I'm still looking for an outfit etc.

 

My plan is to order a blank one from Jane'sdolland and get her faceup. I will make some clothing during the waiting period.

Oh and order a wig, and shoes, and eyes... lol!

 

i'm looking at getting a blank 1/6th body+head from jane's dolland eventually! i think the chunky style of the 1/6th dolls are so adorable!! and it's crazy how affordable these dolls are

 

I'm looking around at patterns, and one of my fave pattern-makers Requiem Arts sells some Rainbow High patts that might work? Anyone have thoughts on if this would fit?

 

Hi! I discovered Tinyfox dolls recently and was fascinated by Little Fox and Frog, but I didn't have a possibility to order them and now Little Frog is discontinued Do they ever re-release discontinued dolls?

(but my question about re-release is still relevant)

 

So far, they have not re-released any discontinued full set dolls, but they did have an event earlier this year where they sold the heads with faceup of discontinued 1/6 dolls.

 

@namika thank you! So I'd better go and grab the frog from Jane's Dolland then... Hopefully she'll still be there when I get the money.
