Tiny doll KIKI [COMPLETE]

I love you doll. She looks gorgeous in this picture!

 

Ever since the first Kiki with face-up came out, I have been checking to see when the next one would be available. I checked at work today but nothing new. Now that I'm home, I checked again, saw Kiki with face-up #2 and I just had to order her - she is beautiful. I can't wait for her to arrive. I think my 10 year old daughter will be really happy that I got her (I showed her the pics of Kiki and she really liked her too). Kiki has a different look from my other tiny girls and that is what I like.

 

I love seeing all the different pictures of Kiki, such a sweet, serene face. I love how petite and proportioned she is, and her cute little fingers--even wee fingernails!
And congratulations Robinlikesdolls, can't wait till the new Kikis arrive home!

Doi Shin: Yes, I agree she is more mature looking. I think of her as a "tween" (between child and teenager). I think we (my daughter and I) will have a lot of fun with her.
Toydogz4: If I could just find time to figure out how to post pictures on DOA, I would do that after she arrives.

I dearly wish I had the funds to afford a Kiki of my own. But I have already commited to buying several dolls, so hopefully I will not be too late when my budget allows me to get her.

Why hasn't BJD Fantasy said anything about these cute dolls? They aren't on her site yet.

She is so knowledgeable regarding BJDs and gives such good service, I don't understand why she wouldn't say anything.

My Kiki came today! She came in a sturdy well-packed box, wrapped in a thick doona-like cover and her hands were folded like she was just being born. She is wonderful! I hope to have time to sand/coat/face her before Saturday but I think it might not be possible.

The EMS lady at the door told me her name today - she knows mine very well. She said "You must have a large collection now." ^^;

I've just come back from the exhibition. Shin-san was very patient with my questions and allowed me to hold Kiki-san in my own hands!!! aargh she is so beautiful! such an expressive face!

I also had the honour to see (but not touch XD ) the 3 Kagali dolls, I'm lost for words. They are truly marvellous, and if my bank balnce had allowed it, I think I'd have taken one home with me, and i had a specific one in mind. i think many people know this feeling XD

It was a magnificent experience, I only wish I'd not forgotten all my Japanese, so that Shin-san didn't have such an arduous task of explaining complicated things to me in english XD and I had so many tricky questions. I appreciate the advice so much!

Shin-san, I hope you enjoyed your time in Australia, and come back soon!! In a few years I'll have those dolls to show you XD maybe

 

I also attended the exhibition with Jamie & Sarah (& met Judy & her sweet Kiki ) & was overwhelmed by the beauty of Shin-san's porcelain dolls...their amazing attention to detail & beautiful finish was breathtaking Thank you for answering all of my questions Shin-san, and for being so gracious & allowing me to hold your adorable Kiki (my savings fund starts today for this tiny angel)- I hope your trip has been an enjoyable one so far!

I am so glad I managed to face-up my Kiki to have her ready to meet your own Kiki today. It was really interesting to see them looking so different when so much about them was the same (hair and general coloring).

People asked about my Kiki's outfit - it was this one from Dolpa 16. I got it on eBay, but I have also seen it on Yahoo!Japan. Kiki must be a little taller than a Yo-SD but the outfit still looks good on her.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Melbourne, and that you come back again some day!

Like Saba/Simone said, the Kagali that were on display were truly beautiful (I liked the one in the kimono best), and Kiki is so adorable! I was surprised when I held her how heavy she was for such a small doll! ^____^

it must have been mid to late afternoon by the time i got there. maybe between 2:30 and 4? I came down from Ballarat and my train was late XD The guy from the gallery said a whole heap of people turned up and Shin-san was talking to them for a long while. he probably had to explain it all twice XD it made me sad that I missed you guys. The gallery dude wondered whether there was any promotion for Shin-san's dolls, because we all came down to see them XD I saw all your names in the book that Shin-san was carrying.

also, some of the other artworks were absolutely magnificent! i have a fierce longing for the pink kissing faces from the back wall XD

Next time you come to Melbourne, why not come to Ballarat as well? it's nice and quiet XD not as busy as Melbourne.

Maybe your children would like Australia as well? (but don't give them any red wine! : )
